I've logged all the dinners I picked for the week already. I might as well go ahead and log leftovers for lunch now too

@juliagulia dress selfie please! That's so exciting the smaller size fit with wiggle room. What a nice feeling to see your hard work pay off.
What's this cleanse you were doing? I think I need to do a cleanse but don't want to put energy toward a whole30 right now. I need to curve this sweet tooth I've developed.

Last night we got takeout burgers and fries. I opted for the kids burger and sweet potato fries.
The only good thing was that I didn't get my usual burger and fries because I looked it up and it was easily 1,000 calories for my typical dinner at this place. So I cut out a few by reducing portion size. Not ideal but such is life.

This morning I tried vegan bacon-flavored seitan on a breakfast sandwich.
It was ok.

This morning I tried vegan bacon-flavored seitan on a breakfast sandwich. It was ok. would you eat it again? i have two servings left, so I will at least two more times. It tastes good but it was a bit bread-y on an egg sandwich. I guess seitan is just wheat gluten? If it's on sale again ($2.99 for the three servings), I would get it because it was clean and easy to heat up in the microwave vs bacon.

I think I need to do a cleanse but don't want to put energy toward a whole30 right now. I need to curve this sweet tooth I've developed. I did the Dr Oz 5 day cleanse. If you click on the videos they explain it in more detail than the article. It really wasn't too bad. It did clear my sweet tooth cravings. Like I'm not interested in chocolate right now at all. 😱 I don't even know this person. Lol. Also, I drank a ton of water each day so I'm maintaining that as a healthy habit. Here's the dress I wore last night. PDQ
To be honest, I'm having a first world pitty party because the one pic of H and me is not very flattering. I didn't have my spanx and my belly is hanging over my granny panties and I didn't know it was visible until I saw this pic. Sigh. I'm trying to focus on the fact that I felt really great and healthy and I felt like I looked more like this mirror selfie. Negative self talk is a hard habit to break. poof 🐶

You might be interested in trying tempeh--I find it has a more pleasant texture and they make smoke flavored ones that do kind of resemble bacon (somewhat--let's be real). But it is a healthy alternative.

@juliagulia you look fantastic! That dress looks great on you. Thank you. I know I'm being ridiculous but I know I'm also not the only one who has this confidence issue that just seems so frustrating.

I tend to run from cameras and when I am photographed, I pick apart every.little.thing. But you have come a long way and you should be proud of how you rocked that dress.

So, for my Saturday. I got am amazing massage this morning and now I'm drinking coffee on the balcony (because I accidentally drank decaf this morning). I treated myself to a yummy yogurt parfait this morning. I'm going to do a yoga by Adrienne and then pool party when H gets back from golf. That's right - I get to be in my bathing suit with H's coworkers. Be jealous. 🤣
Then getting my hair done, going to the black tie party and drinking all the wine.

@juliagulia I make that belly mistake frequently. I take solace in the face that even super fit ladies have that issue too. Elastic digs in. It's what it does. No shame.
Plus you look happy, and that makes it the best picture.

Ok I just subconsciously picked a good Adrienne video because she reminded me that this is the only body I have so I need to love it and respect it. Focus for today. 😃
Thanks for all the support, friends.

I definitely went over on Thursday with beers, but have stuck pretty close or under my calorie goal (2000, still BF pretty frequently).
I hiked Wednesday, took a long walk Thursday and ran 10/1x4 intervals today with the double stroller. We're also camping this week, so I'll get a couple more pack hikes (DS is 22lbs + the pack).
I definitely need to try and fit in a yoga video this week, because I know I'm super tight.

I prefer tempeh bacon myself.

I would rather have bacon and no wheat for a day.
I've done veggie/vegan, but I prefer beans, lentils etc than pre-processed fakey meat.

I only bought the odd seitan bacon because it was on sale.
My personal trainer is a vegan so he'll occasionally talk me into trying vegan "meat" substitutes. He's rah rah about these vegan hot dogs made by Field Roast.

He's rah rah about these vegan hot dogs made by Field Roast. I was vegetarian from 10-22. I'm still really picky about where my meat comes from, but I only started eating meat again, because I was super anemic and ill. I still can't do a lot of "fake" meats. Black bean burgers is as far as I'll go. (I also can't eat any hot dog and most deli meat).

I make my own tempeh and my husband likes some of the store-bought substitutes. I mean, they aren't any healthier than meat so I don't see the point unless you're doing it for ethical reasons. No harm in trying them either, like brux does, but I wouldn't want to eat them every day.

I do get a little caught up in the ethical aspects of meat consumption.
And yet I nomnonnom on all the meat.

Good morning! I weighed myself to see the vacation damage and wish I had wasted the calories on something more rewarding than wine buzz snacking, but that's probably something I should try to remember for next vacation. We've traveled a lot this summer, and I am looking forward to being home (and eating healthy) for a stretch. Plus, I want to start getting in shape for the holidays and all of the friends and family we'll see then.
Also, I missed JG's sexy dress shot from last night, so I'm asking for a recap here.

Good morning! I'm from the WW thread (thanks for the invite, thisbitch). I don't WW. I'm mostly calorie counting and trying to eat lower carb/sugar, more protein and vegetables. I've made some changes over the summer (not keeping wine in the house, not eating after dinner, exercising, etc.). I managed to lose 15 pounds. I have a LOT left to go. My next short term goal is 6 pounds, hopefully by Oct. It is coming off slowly, but as long as it keeps coming off, I'm good. I think merging the threads is a good idea. More traffic, more accountability.
