@juliagulia, is your event this weekend? Yup! I have a new red dress to wear Friday night, a pool party on Saturday, and an RTR dress to wear on Saturday. Woof. I'm had a good week last week and I need another one this week. You've got this!

Today was the first day I didn't eat my snacks. I kept the veggies and dip logged though because it's bachelorette finale night and I can eat those during the show

dogbutt, I typically have a protein shake for lunch. It's backwards of most people, but I eat breakfast (a salad) after everyone leaves or after I've taken care of the family's needs. I need lunch to be faster because I'm usually busy in the middle of the day, so I do a shake then. Or if you had a salad, would your kid still try to eat it? Mine won't eat anything green unless I force them.

Okay I'm back. I had a splurge weekend Saturday and Sunday but I needed a carefree no worries 24 hours. I'm recommitting today and will check in daily. I really need to work on my eating. I'm not eating all day then eat everything at dinner. So my goal this week is to get up before my kid to eat breakfast and lunch will be my next hurdle but I will focus on breakfast for now. I started with shakes in the morning the first 2 weeks. Do you have time to meal prep on the weekends? Make up some eggs and sausage and put them in containers and pop them in the microwave? I did baked oatmeal muffins this week and added sausage links

Last night I snacked on a 100 calorie skinny pop and the veggies and dip during the bachelorette finale. This is a big difference between my usual chips, wine and cookies!

Today's meals:
Breakfast: one baked oatmeal muffin, sausage links Snack: hard boiled egg and orange Lunch: leftover Salisbury steak with broccoli and cantaloupe Snack: veggies and dip, another egg, and I found these special K protein bites that are chocolate and peanut butter so I'm trying those Dinner: I'm thinking chicken and broccoli with cauliflower rice

Are there any original Noomers still Nooming? Hi! I was just going to post about this. I'm pretty much all in. The charge hit my credit card yesterday and I just don't want to switch and lose momentum. I'm going ot try to take from it what I can and supplement wherever else I need to. Yay! I am glad you are still here too.
We need scoutboo back too

I had a good day yesterday food wise and I didn't eat anything after dinner (I almost always have a snack). Mostly because I was tired and went to be at 8:30. I got up early this morning and went to the gym for a run. I did 3 miles on the treadmill. Today's plan: Pre-run: small bowl of cereal, 1/2 a small bottle of Gatorade B: baked oatmeal S: peach, yogurt L: deli snack box S: carrots and dip D: not sure yet, H is out of town for work today so it's just me and the girls. Maybe a turkey or tuna sandwich.

Day 3 of the cleanse. Feeling good. Little bit of a headache but not too bad. I was definitely zonked last night early. But, I've lost a pound so far, so I'm hanging in there. The only thing I really can't stand is the green juice for breakfast. It feels good after but it's so nasty tasting.
Got up at 5 and walked again and I'm hitting up my favorite yoga class tonight.

Are there any original Noomers still Nooming? I'm nooming still! I like the idea of the protein shake for lunch. Lunch is always my toughest meal. My kid will eat my salad. She will eat anything I'm eating.

I forgot to mention this last week but I weighed myself and was down 1 pound! Hopefully I'll be able to get my meal eating at normal times. I know when I start working at the winery I'll be on my feet all day so I hope that will help melt the pounds away.

There's a thread called interesting article in the healthy living thread. It's a NYT article about the struggle to lose weight and diet fatigue. Worth a read if you've got time and diet fatigue.

I want to join in on this (using MFP) because I want thisbitch to be my online coach. Your advice is so motivating and doable!

Thanks, tmg, and welcome. dogbutt, I use cytosport, just because they sell it at Costco. Before I committed to the big bag, I tried the TJs brand. I do add a banana and cinnamon to mine. The banana makes a huge difference texture wise and the cinnamon adds flavor. If you've got the calorie allowance for it, add a tablespoon or two of nut butter (I like almond) to it.

I'm still in Noom. I never got around to cancelling.
I need to figure out weekends because shockingly I stop tracking and start eating and drinking Friday night - Sunday night. I'm a mess, but a mess who wants fun cocktails and steak and fries.

brux, I've been over on calories for all of vacation, but it is still helpful to track. Throwing that out there in case it helps you. Also, my overages haven't been as bad as I thought.

I got the cytosport protein powder best bang for thre buck on Amazon and the food scale above. Mine broke a few months ago so glad I found this on sale. I'll feel better about logging food with the scale. I know I'm over serving myself but it's probably less than normal since I'm trying to be aware on the amount of food I consumed.

I used my food scale this morning to assemble some yogurt parfaits this morning. It really is a good tool to help train your eye when you're away from home and trying to figure out serving sizes.

It really does help. When I was diligent a few years ago I got really good at eyeing serving sizes when I was out to eat. Time to retrain myself in this.

I didn't follow a plan yesterday so I didn't log.
This thread made me go back and log, despite the horror show of my choices.
Breakfast: two donuts lunch: three cream cheese wontons, a serving of black bean and rice soup snack: dove bar mini dinner: four slices of pepperoni pizza and one beer.
2200 calories. yikes.

And with that, I show you all the road map of why I am overweight. 7 days a week of days like that for 10 years.
