Hi! I'm just popping in to say hi; we got up to VA late last week and have been unpacking, making Target-runs, and basically hemorrhaging money since then. Our stuff got split into 2 moving trucks so the house is a mess and I feel like I can't get anything 'finished' (lamps with no shades, missing kitchenware and furniture, etc). Hopefully the other truck will be here within the next couple days.
Both kids are well and we somehow all survived the 11-hour drive up here, although if I ever hear the Aladdin soundtrack again it will be too soon 😜
Hope you're all doing well! I'll try to pop in more this week if I can get some things accomplished.

On 2 trucks? That stinks! When do you get the rest of your stuff? And why am I moving just as you get moved in relatively close by?
The painters are here so I am relegated to the (small) kitchen with 2 kids and 2 dogs fun times. The toddler is playing in the sink and C is asleep in the carrier on me. We made some 7 sin bars but apparently my graham cracker crumbs were very old sooo I am not expecting them to be edible. By the time I figured it out it was to late to adjust so I baked them anyway.

So I'm sitting in the lobby of the Y waiting for the child watch ladies to come get me! L did great at church yesterday but the guy in there is called the baby whisperer! Lol He's been in for 15 minutes but he's still in his car seat. I brought his lovey too. We'll see how it goes! flamingo, is this a bad time to mention I know the Aladdin soundtrack by heart! aggiebug, 7 sin bars sound yummy even with stale graham crackers!

Congrats on completing the hardest part flamingo! 7 sin bars sound delish aggiebugNothing major going on here. I already took care of 2 adult things that I've been procrastinating on. So I feel completely accomplished for the day.

Exciting stuff over here. It's been raining and thundering all morning. I swear lightening was literally in my backyard. It's supposed to rain a good majority of the day so that sort of sucks. J is napping and B and I are playing with every single one of his new toys. My living room is a disaster and the playroom is full. I have no idea where I'm going to put all this stuff! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Good morning. We slept really well after a super busy day yesterday. I'm still tired, but not feeling like such a mess today. I did some cleaning/organizing of toys this morning (mostly stuff like legos and puzzles). I need to go through the storage after lunch and take out a few of the bigger "baby" toys.

I'm at work, M is at school and my parents are watching H. I need a nap. H was coughing all night last night. I went in there and held him upright for 1.5-2 hours at 1:30. Poor baby.

I've been busy all morning. I went and got a biometric screening which was super fun and not depressing at all (sarcasm font). Then I went to a product demo where I had a bagel and coffee because I have no self control and I was hungry. Just finished one meeting and have another at 12. Too much going on for a Monday. Is it the weekend yet?

I threw them out they were awful. I can still taste that nastiness. In case you were wondering, graham crackers can get too old

So J is refusing to nurse on my left side. He'll nurse on the right no problem. Is this a teething issue? He's getting his two top teeth currently so maybe?

tgrimes, poor little guy Is he doing any better this morning? waitwhat, I guess that could be a teething issue, if the angle is a little different from that side? Does he usually prefer the right? Or is that side a better producer? FB gals already know this but today is officially the day my baby girl learned to crawl. She's been so close for a month already, but just could not figure out what to do with her legs to push herself forward. But today it finally clicked and she's off to the races. So many feels

L did great! They kept him in the car seat for about 10 minutes to be comfortable and then picked him up and he stayed 51 minutes... maybe I'll be able to take a class soon!

I remember having this issue with B at some point; can't recall how old he was exactly but it was around this age; it only lasted a couple days or so and then he was back to normal. Not sure I ever figured out what caused it. Hopefully it will be a short lived phase for y'all!

Cheshie6 don't get me wrong, I love Aladdin! But I listened to B watch it on the iPad twice, plus we listened to the CD...I need a break from prince Ali for a bit lol

dashook and flamingo thanks! The right is my better producer but this is the first time he has ever legit pushed my boob away from his face. And when I switched sides he took it the right side right away without any issues. I'll see what happens later when I offer the left again. Edited typos

Speaking of nursing, L is rolling to his belly to nurse!?! He stays latched on but also seems to do it mostly on right side!?! Is this normal? It doesn't seem comfortable to me but he even dozes off like this.

Cheshie6, DS2 does that sometimes too! It doesn't look very comfortable to me either, but he doesn't seem to mind it.

Hi flamingo!! So glad to see you're doing well and the move is going as well as a move can seem to go. I hope you have a treat in store for yourself when it's all over! Just saw your update...Friday?! What?! Boo! Talk about your life being on hold... aggiebug I call those magic bars! What a bummer they weren't good...I for one wouldn't have never thought of graham cracker going bad. Cheshie6 so glad L did well at childcare! Are you repeating the same parent/baby swim class this go around with him? My local Y just released the next two sessions and I'm thinking of just going ahead and signing up now. It's not like at this age that amount of repetition is a bad thing, right? Or is that silly? If you figure out a decent toy storage solution let me know waitwhat. Could J possibly have some congestion in his is one ear? danib I keep taking baby stuff out to go into storage and then end up putting it back. I never used to have an issue putting stuff away until recently. That sounds miserable tgrimes. I'm sorry he's still up coughing so much. I hope wine and some sleep is in your future later tonight. I hope your Monday has calmed down goldenlove. A bagel sounds really good right now.

H and I had to fish a turtle out of the pool at lunchtime. Turtles are not slow when they do not want to be caught. I'll let you all picture that adventure in your heads.

sophiegrace, we are signed up for next session! Repetition is great and needed if you find her more nervous, also socialization is what I mostly do it for! When we were on our own, hardly anyone else had a baby in the open swim time, here there's up to 10 other babies in the class. Plus 10 other parents to talk/relate to! It's one thing regularly in my calendar for him and I need that. Story time at the libraries are on summer break and bookstore story times are way too crowded for me. Though my church is doing a story time/lunch date tomorrow. I'm sure it's geared towards the bigger kids but still a form of socializing.

There's only one story time type thing here and it's always at 10 am Monday's which I can never seem to swing with her nap time. She has a music class on Thursday's, but that runs in 3-4 week sessions and it's currently out for the summer. I have to force myself to go because I'm a nervous, introverted mess, but I also wish there was more for us to do in this town sometimes.

H has now named the turtle and has decided it's a box turtle which means it won't be happy living at the pond where he put it (??) and that I should go 'rescue' it and bring it back up towards the house to be watched. I've gotten more concerned text messages from him this afternoon than I ever have before. This is what I get for not letting him get a puppy 😂

I need to look at baby swim class schedules around here again because I really want to do it. Every baby class I've looked at before seems to be during the day or at night after his bedtime. Maybe I can find something on the weekends.
