We won't see Manafort testify today, but the IG will, as well as Bill Browder. Bill Browder was the CEO of Hermitage Capital. After doing business in Russia for years, he tried to slow the flow of money to corrupt oligarchs and was blacklisted by Putin, expelled from Russia, and his lawyer was arrested and killed. Because of this, he lobbied for what is now called the Magnitsky Act. I just read Browder's initial published comments to the committee. This has been percolating for a bit. Sam Bee did a segment last week with Gohmert, king, and rohrbacher railing against people "using" the military to get "free" surgery. |

Oh fuck this. I am raging. There is so much I want to say that I cannot articulate because I am too angry. This is where I am. This asshole used deferments and a lying ass doctor to get out of serving in a war he supported. Now, he's telling those who want to serve that they cannot while also obviously chomping at the bit to ramp up military action anywhere so he can play soldier man and get those great photo ops from the situation room where he looks all presidential and serious and can "outdo" Obama. |

Just last month the military was conducting trainings with personnel on procedure for transgender servicemen and women. Ie the rules for paperwork re name/gender, etc.
Can he just snap his fingers and do this?

This fucking draft dodger deems transgender men and women are unfit to serve because why? Because they have more courage in their little finger than he has in his entire body to serve our country in a military where they will undoubtedly be harassed and are at an elevated risk of sexual assault or violence? This is not ok. None of this ok. I don't know what to say any more. I don't have confidence that anyone in the GOP will find their soul and stand up against this chaos.
DJT is seriously off his rocker but it's fine. It's all fine.
Maybe I need to take a break from politics because my faith has diminished that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I was under the impression that Tricare covers hormones and therapy but not surgery. I want to say they now cover surgery but I am not 100% Ok I looked it up. Just hormone therapy and psychological counseling, BUT they can submit a waiver if their provider deems surgery medically necessary. |

Sessions is having meetings at the White House today.
Supposedly its normal course of business, but he hasnt been having these recently.
I HATE that I have to WK Sessions. Its like when Lindsay Graham makes sense.

I think I'm reaching a point of hopelessness. Ever since November, I have clung to the hope that this administration will implode, he will be impeached, that SOMETHING will happen to that will put an end to this madness. Every week when some crazy new thing happens I think this *has* to be it, the final straw that leads to his base abandoning him, wheels set in motion to get him out of office etc. And it never is and things just get worse and worse every day. UGH. I just desperately hope that we can get someone new in office in 2020 and they can systematically dismantle everything he has done, just as Trump does with everything Obama did (which appears to be literally his only mission).
