We are on our first official family vacation in Broken Bow, OK! We got here yesterday. Our cabin is AMAZING and DS is loving exploring nature! Our friends and their 2 toddlers arrive today.
Unfortunately DS woke at 1:30am screaming and wouldn't go back down until 4am! It was hell! He NEVER wakes MOTN, but did on Wed. night as well at home. He got the Hep A and chicken pox shots Wednesday afternoon so not sure if that could be related. It was so baffling because he has slept in his pack n play at other places recently just fine.
Luckily it's 9am and he's still sleeping. Once we are all up, it's breakfast time and a family 3 mile hike!!
How's everyone else doing!?

We are also back camping again, just for the weekend this time! We came just after lunch yesterday. My parents are here too and my sister plans on meeting us here on the weekend.
We're in a valley and service isn't always the greatest so I wont be around much again, but hope everyone has a great weekend!

So looking forward to the weekend, first one in a while we will just be hanging out at home - its such a relief. But we're going to have to start packing for our trip next week already!

We are still without AC (19 days now) so we plan to do things outside the house this weekend. There is a drag queen story time at a local bookstore that we are going to check out. DD is going to love it. They have crafts after making necklaces and bracelets.
Sunday we are driving an hour away to go to the closest Nordstrom to check out the anniversary sale.
We have 1/2 days on Friday during the summer and DD is with the sitter all day so I'm not sure what I want to do. We have a portable AC unit in our guest bedroom so option 1 is go home and lay around watching tv and maybe nap or option 2 is run errands. Right now I'm leaning toward #1.

Sooo happy it's Friday. Work had been extremely slow this week and it's been a struggle to get through the days. Netflix and Hulu have been my BFFs. I know it sounds like a weird thing to complain about sometimes having too much to do at work can be better than having nothing to do!

sarahh I am jealous of your drag queen story time. I have heard about this and it seems like a lot of fun. Today I have to work for a few hours when MH gets home on his break from work. I also have to pick up a few things from target. They have boneless buffalo wings that MH looooooves and he wants me to buy some. Tomorrow we are going to visit some friends in NJ. They have a daughter that is 6mo older than G and they have a good time together.

sarahh, at this point I would start looking for someone else to fix your AC, you can't keep living in the basement during a heat wave. Your warranty company is awful for doing this to you. A local company is probably going to have the part in stock, as the repair company should have to begin with. Even an obscure part shouldn't take this long to arrive, even if the first one was damaged. I'm working today (boo) but we are having dinner with friends tonight at a nice restaurant across town. This is the end of our Restaurant Week so we are having a nicer dinner than we would have without breaking the bank. This restaurant we've been to 2 other times and they have AMAZING creme brulee and it is worth the drive over to have it. I'm considering starting with the dessert course tonight. lol The rest of the weekend we don't have plans. I always have a laundry list of stuff I would like to get done and I usually don't do anything now that I'm pregnant. I glue myself to the couch and zone out and sleep.

It is hot as balls here and I am alone with the kids this weekend so I am trying to come up with something fun to get them out of the house. I am out of town next week for 4 days or so and am a bit nervous to leave my kiddos but they will have lots of fun with DH.

I got myself a large fry from McD's for lunch and I ate every last one. I had been craving them so bad the past couple days and it was so worth it.

Hi!! Lots of vacations coming up!! We leave on Sunday, so I think I'm going to be pretty much tech free for a week. Just finished shopping the Nordstrom anniversary sale online... I spent wayyyyy less than I did last year. Didn't want to buy a bunch of maternity clothes that I'll only wear for such a short time, and it's too depressing to buy regular clothes that won't fit! I had to stop the car and puke in the middle of the street this morning so that was fun. And DH leaves Monday for a week. I'm dreading it. Sorry for the whine.

Finalllllllly sitting down and eating breakfast. I did the glucose test this morning and they make you sit there for an hour before testing and I was getting insanely nauseous from not eating yet. But hopefully the test comes back all clear!
MH is away this weekend for his brothers bachelor party so I'm trying to figure out how I am going to wrangle/entertain my little beastie solo. The weather is going to be nice so that's a plus but my hips and sciatica have been acting up and chasing him through the park is getting comical.

I had them twice because the first batch were mostly hard/crunchy gross and they only filled the container half way. I was pissed.

My pregnancy hair and skin look amazing today. I'm going to ask my mom if she wants to go out to dinner tonight because I don't want to waste this rare moment of cuteness when I can go out in public without anyone saying "you look exhausted!"

A confession for Friday: I was running late for a doctor's appointment today and I got hit with one of those "I need to eat right now or I will throw up/pass out/die" sensations. All I had in the car was some honey my mom gave me from her bees, so I just straight up drank some of it. Probably a super weird thing to see if you were at the stop light next to me.

So I'm going to bury this here but I'm having those weirdly painful cramps on my left side again. Per my drs advice Wed I called and left a message on the nurse line. Fx everything is OK and it's gas or some dumb shit. I'm trying to stay away from Google.

I'm sitting here crying and I can't seem to calm down. We are still waiting on lab results to see if latest increase in seizure med dose helped my levels at all. Well the past couple of days I've had a gut instinct to not go much higher in fear that baby can't handle it. Well I finally told my nurse practitioner and she said she talked to my actual neurologist about it and she said it's more important to get my seizures under control. Guys, I have partial seizures, only impacts my vision. I would rather have a few seizures than potentially lose my baby.
Do I OB and ask her opinion even though seizures are definitely not her specialty?
I can't quit crying at the thought of it harming my baby. My med is a category c and already risk of birth defects. At what point can the baby just not survive. I know I'm thinking worst possible outcome.
Effing pregnancy hormones. My toddler is so confused and is laughing. Thanks kid.

Didyoir OB expand on why they wanted to know if it happened and how far along are you?

Hi guys! Just checking in. I haven't been responding lately but I'm following along to keep up. We had our first appt at MFM today. They did a scan and saw there is no abdominal herniation (good news) but there is a cystic hygroma (bad news). Basically this means increased risk of chromosomal abnormalities or heart defects, among other issues. We opted for NIPT at this time but not the CVS. With already having a history of mc, the risks are too much right now. If something comes back positive on the NIPT results maybe we would consider it. I'm only 11w2d so we will still be in the window for cvs if we want to do it. I'm just stunned this is happening. I keep saying I just want a normal, boring pregnancy after what it has taken us to get here but that isn't in the cards. Plus, this might be silly to complain about but I was looking forward to starting to tell people over the next couple weeks but now we won't.

Ask your OB and maybe the actual neuro doctor instead of the nurse practitioner (doesn't sound like she gave you a very reassuring response, and the doctor really should know more about this). I think it's probably most important to get your seizures under control and keep you safe. But your OB/neurologist should have a good idea about the meds and their safety in pregnancy. Also, most meds are category c because they're never going to randomize a bunch of pregnant women to take them or a placebo and then follow along to see what happens to their babies. It doesn't mean that they're unsafe, just usually that they don't have a ton of human data. ETA I'm really sorry you're going through this!
