No formal workout today, but I did walk to the library, so I got some activity in.
I am making Lillie’s turkey and pumpkin chili for dinner. I forgot that it makes TONs of food. Oops. Lol .

My eye doc said I can resume moderate exercise starting today, so I am hoping to do Ben’s live class tomorrow for my 500th ride. I told MH if Ben gives me a shoutout I will literally scream and then fall of my bike from excitement. 🤣🤣 I was going to say I would jump on this ride, but… 5:30 my time, so sorry. Lol. I may take it later, though!

Ugh. I got major indigestion earlier by eating most of a super burrito for lunch. We had guests over so I had to go with the flow and I didn’t make the best decision on my meal. I was going to eat half and save the rest but I kept going and that was a mistake. My stomach is not used to that volume of food anymore. I drank lots of water and had a protein smoothie with lots of fiber for dinner to help move things along.
I’m noting it as knowledge for how that meal made me feel. I don’t think I’ll repeat that any time soon if I remember how crummy I felt.
Good news is I’m at 17K steps for the day. Between my run, walking DS to and from basketball, and waking the dog, it was an active day.

I've felt really good all week so eased back in today. I spent some time putting the November HCOTF calendar into my planner and working out my training plan. I'm excited!
30 min Halloween run with Matty 30 min Halloween ride with Sam 10 min arms & shoulders with Daniel 10 min core with Ben

I still haven’t caught up with the thread, and at this point I doubt I will. I’ll try to do better in November.
Working full time and going back to school while recovering from a concussion maybe wasn’t the best idea, but I’m managing.
My sleep is a mess - the concussion really messed it up, and it wasn’t good to begin with.
My balance is actually getting better - I was able to successfully shift weight to my other leg when I was reaching to the top shelf of my bookshelf. I know shifting weight sounds incredibly easy, but it’s something I struggle with.
I’ve done well with meditating and foam rolling. I’ve done pretty well with self care, too - I’ve consistently iced and heated and used my TENS unit, and I bought a new tube of indigo watercolor paint. Indigo is my favorite color, and my last tube was almost out. I bought new winter gloves, too - we’ll see how they do. I need to buy more winter base layers - I’ve worn out most of the ones I have. I should have replaced them last winter, but last winter I didn’t go anywhere because of the pandemic 🤷🏼♀️

30 minute Halloween ride with Sam 5 minute core with Selena
I'll do lots of walking tonight taking the kids trick or treating. But that's it for me and activity today. Food will be sweets and take out.

Omgomg Ben gave me a shoutout on his ride🤩 I really did scream from excitement!🤣
So I did:
5 min warm up with Ben 30 min live low impact with Ben 5 min cool down ride with Ben 10 min arms & light weights with Sam 10 min arms & light weights with Alex 10 min stretch
So with that I completed 500 rides and 7K minutes in the annual challenge.

Food is all prepped for the week. I have chicken fajitas and taco turkey stuff peppers ready to go. And I've got a chicken and wild race casserole for my lunches coming out of the oven in just a minute.
Today so far I've eaten a pumpkin cupcake and too many Oreos. So I'm all set to be back on track tomorrow.

Congrats on your milestone notexactly and I am glad you got your shoutout! I have number 300 coming up this week and I am trying to decide if I want to do a live ride! I probably won't...I get too anxious about it if I will get one or not! cnf that all sounds really good. Especially the cupcake, lol. I think meal prepping on the weekends is what I need to start doing. Unless I have a foolproof plan cooking is just not happening. I wish I was as motivated to cook and eat vegetables as I was to workout.

Once I get in a groove I'm pretty good at staying the course, but that groove is tough for me to find most of the time. I had it in September but really fell apart the last couple of weeks. I do so much better when I prep and precook.

Halloween workout done! I almost skipped today but this week looks very busy so I snuck it in.
45 minute pop boot camp with Callie 5 minute upper body stretch
Loved the boot camp! It started a bit awkward but once Callie settled in it was great. I think she will add a nice variety of programming. Focus was on heavy slow lifting in the first strength session and a doable EMOM for the second. Definitely more my speed. Love Jess but she gets too complicated sometimes. Looking forward to more!

My body is very sore and tired so active recovery is it for me. Goal is to get 10k steps and not eat too much pizza or candy.
I wanted to try H’s weight vest before getting my own. I don’t like how bulky it is. It’s 20 pounds and I walked the dog 1.5 miles in it. It definitely gave me a higher heart rate for the walk (slow pace with my old dog) so I guess that’s good. I’m counting it as strength.

Happy Halloween, friends! Today was a recovery day so I did 20 minutes of yoga and 10 of barre. We also walked for 1.5 hours for TOT so I got lots of steps. Of course, I also drank a shot of tequila, a beer and a Jell-O shot (our neighborhood offers some treats for grownups, too 😂). It was a fun day but I’ll be back at it tomorrow.

We had a ton of plans for the day so I expected to do a bunch of walking. Buuuut my kids started feeling sick last night and are even worse today. So our busy active Halloween turned into candlelit Halloween movie marathon day.
I think I'll try one of the Halloween yoga flows in a bit.

I'm eagerly awaiting the announcement about the date/registration for the Carlsbad 5000, a local race that's owned by Meb. They have an "all day 5k" option where you run the 5k 4x (in your age group and then 3 others) on race day. Sounds like a fun, unique option!

My calf was tight yesterday, so no official workout. I did get in quite a few steps with yard work and assembling a play structure for the kids.
I wasn't planning anything today except walking for truck or treating, but I got in a couple of 10 minute classes.

I meant to do a Halloween ride today, but played soccer with the 6 yo and cleaned my house instead. Not as solid of a workout, but very necessary.
Food was decent today though heavy on the Halloween candy. I made chicken burrito bowls for dinner and will have the leftovers for lunch this week. I lost 10 lbs in Oct (that had been regained over the previous several months) and tripled my running mileage so hoping to keep this momentum going in November.

Depression and anxiety has kicked my ass for the last week and I haven't had the energy to do shit beyond exist. Today I did a scenic ride through Iceland and it was perfect. I'm sorry.

Yes! I know they are hard to get anymore, and I really don't care as much if I get one or not, but it's Ben and he is my absolute favorite.
