LOL- are tiktok people trying to act like overnight oats are new?
Rest day for me. Chiro appointment went well and things are less cranky than usual going into this meet. Staying on top of things and like stretching and stuff helps. Weird.

Peloton users, does Peloton offer any long runs in their programs? That's the one area I am going to struggle for new routes on my treadmill, and I'm bored to tears with the half marathon "training" courses on there, I've done the same pattern a million times. There's also a 60 day guest pass right now, any of us would be happy to give you 60 days to try it free!

I took a recovery day yesterday and I’m glad I did because I felt SO much better today. I did Jess’s latest Saturday 60 and it was a great one. I find the boot camps tend to be upper body focused but this one had a nice mix of lower body and core, also. cnf - she does ALL of the shoutouts in her boot camps. I actually don’t mind it (and I’ll always use her for my milestones lol) but I can see how it can be annoying.

I took yesterday off because I was so dang tired.
I used part of my lunch hour to knock out my 20 min You Can Run session with Marcel and a 5 min post-run stretch with Joslyn afterwards.

I started my day with a walk to preschool, so that was good. I have been sitting on my butt for the last 2 hours, though, lol. I was all ready to take a walk with DS to Target to pick up our order, but he just fell asleep on me again. 😂 Must be nice!
Anyway; my plan is to do that walk and maybe a short ride. I would like to get on the bike a bit today.
Tentative meal plan:
B- coffee with collagen peptides and vanilla creamer, eggs, and air fried TJs apple oatmeal bites
L- TJs chicken shawarma wrap, maybe some Mexican quinoa salad? I need to figure out what else I’m having
S- turkey and crackers, or maybe string cheese
D- air fried salmon, air fried Brussels sprouts, TJs premade cornbread stuffing with apples and cranberries
D- TJs mini ice cream cones

Finally made it out for a second walk with DS. He has been kind of tired and cranky today, and also I think is starting a nursing strike. He just ended a bottle strike. 🥴 So I figured we would take a break from trying, to take our walk to Target, and we are back and he just nursed, so I guess it worked.

Two days of strength work this week! That’s pretty good for me.
30 minute Beyoncé walk with Rebecca 20 minute strength for runners with Becs 5 minute core with Olivia 5 minute lower body stretch with Ben
I had to drive all the way across the city to get fingerprinted for my new volunteer gig (I’m training to be a CASA if anyone knows the program) and I was starving after so In’n’Out happened for lunch. Life is super busy right now so I’m not going to worry about it.

I will put 1 million internet dollars on what’s going to happen. Optavia and the like are the worst of the worst of diet culture. Taking peoples money, and a lot of it, making big promises while knowing full well what’s going to happen when the plan is done. All the while making women feel like some sort of failure for not being able to keep the weight off. Rage. Ugh. So obnoxious. I didn’t know anything about it until y’all started talking about it here but I remembered her posting a couple of months ago about a big weight loss and then answering someone in the comments with a weird way she did it. I hope she’s ok with her health. I also know that they target all types of people but I continually get amazed when otherwise smart people fall for this stuff. It's always the biggest red flag when people are like, "how do you do it?" and they respond something like, "I'll PM you babes!" You know they're not PM-ing to say, "Guess what?! I increased my water intake and fresh, whole foods and I'm getting outside/moving as much as I can!"

Hi!
Yesterday ended up being a rest day. Back at it today.
45 minute 80's ride with Denis (love doing these rides with someone actually alive in the 80's...was fun). 10 minute Halloween arms with Sam 10 minute core with Callie
Two core sessions in one week! Who even am I?! I forgot how bloated I get with strength training. Why is that?! Oh well. I'll keep at it.

We had another morning on the go as I had to take the toddler for blood work. One of my November goals 💯 will need to be meal planning and improving my overall nutrition.
B: Half a pumpkin muffin, banana, coffee with oat milk and sugar L: Kodiak waffles with PB D: Chicken, broccoli and sweet potatoes S: Halloween candy, but I’m also bagging them up for trick or treaters okay
Thursdays are active recovery days.
-10min postnatal core with Robin -20min slow flow with Mariana

So apparently after LASIK you are not supposed to work out intensely right away so that you don’t strain your eyes, so yesterday I walked on my tread at a snails pace and today I am doing the least with scenic rides and cycling slowly just to move my legs. I like this break. 😆

Cool, thanks, guys. I will look into both. Peloton is now offering 60 days free through "guest passes" so if you want to try it out, one of us would be happy to send you a pass to access our membership 😊

But when I'm staring straight at her on the treadmill just running along it's annoying.

For some reason, I don’t even notice it anymore. Probably because I’m half dying from her hellish programming 😂

Running day today. I did a 20 min progressive run followed by a 10 min cool down and then 20 min of soccer with the big kid. I am signed up for a virtual 10K on Thanksgiving but saw today that my local Turkey trot is running in person this year and has a 10K distance, so I think I am going to sign up and run that to cover both! They have a kids mile right after that I might see if my 6 yo wants to do.
Active rest day tomorrow, my legs are so sore from all of the work this week and I definitely need a break.

I took the dogs for a walk and then did a 20 min beginner strength with Rebecca Kennedy. It was fine. I’m trying to be positive about it. Lol.

Hello hello. 20 min glutes and legs with Selena, 10 min barre with Hannah, 10 min core with Jess S. I skipped ahead a day on HCOTF b/c we're traveling this weekend and won't be able to workout. I will do the arms stack tomorrow and be done for the week. B - toast, turkey bacon, fruit L - leftover wonton soup D - we went up to my parents for trick or treat night (yes I know it's not Halloween but the city I grew up in always does it on a Thursday #CentralPA). My mom got stromboli and pizza for us, so not great, but I just had a small piece of both, and an Oktoberfest beer. S - cheddar cheese crisps from Aldi and hoping to keep it to just a few pieces of DS's Halloween candy Went to my doctor's today and got a prescription for Zoloft. We're doing that again since it worked decently well for my PPD 5 years ago. I'll fill it, not sure if/when I'll start taking it, but I'll have it at least.

I was up early to bring DD to a before school skateboard session. But I did also get in Sam Yo’s Halloween ride. It was good— the end of that progressive hill to Ghostbusters was killer! Okay this ride sounds fun! I was busy thinking of the Halloween runs and forgot about the rides.

I did all the Elton John rides tonight. 10 minute warmup, 45 minute ride, 10 minute cool down.
Not a very high output, I am feeling pretty tired today, but it was fun!
I am going to make tomorrow a rest day.

30 minute Jess King Halloween run done. It was very not Halloweeny. It was ok, but it didn't totally do it for me. I got up and ran 3.25 miles though, so I'm taking the win. That's it for me today.
Now that I'm feeling a little more on track with getting up in the mornings I'm hoping to get back into night time yoga this week coming up.
Food today is 🤷🏻♀️ I have a sub in the FACS room fridge at school for lunch. I'll have a protein bar on my drive in like always. Otherwise I don't know. I might bring another bagel since I still have cream cheese at school too.
This week has been a complete shit show and I'm totally ready for the weekend.

I woke up at 3:00 am and somehow convinced myself it was Saturday and was happy to be able to sleep past my alarm....until it went off at 4:00 and I felt so disoriented lol
Took a few minutes to actually get up and get going, but pull day went pretty well. I was gearing up for deadlifts, but they felt super heavy today! Went way down in weight and just kept at it and focused on form and position of my hips. I've noticed with my scoliosis I can end up coming back up a bit crooked and trying to stop that. So hard when my spine has other ideas! Other than that everything else was great. Chin ups I increased, over and underhand lat pulls, single arm rows was feeling it, and then paused face pulls to finish it off. I feel thoroughly tired and was seriously starving for most of my workout today. Was so happy to end so I could eat 😁
B: Eggwhite crepe, toast with peanut butter and jam, raspberries L: Chicken, rice, veggies, kiwis, cookie D: Maybe another stirfry with turkey
