THANK YOU. I love him! He was so good on Nashville, too. I don't think our beef is with Chris Carmack himself (mine isn't at least), just what they are doing with his character. I'm sorry, you're all now dead to me. (jk!)

Was anyone else annoyed that Zola was so quick to say, “we will go with you” When Meredith told her about the job offer?
If it were my kid, they’d throw a big fit!!!

So dumb and unbelievable that a tween would just be like "we would follow you anywhere". It looks like they're going to make the drama be in the hospital though with Meredith leaving and not her home-life.

Yes, but their mom works a lot of hours so their support system has always been a bunch of doctors from Seattle. Even Linc and Winston fill in as father figures. They have an awful lot of parental surrogates they would be leaving behind.

Anyone else caught up? Is this how the series ends? With Meredith bouncing and Richard and Bailey running the hospital into the ground? Not a very nice send off if it is.

They renewed for another season already so somehow they will not end this way lol. I’m wondering if this is misdirection with Meredith. Like she says she is going to take the job but something eventually changes her mind.

Yeah, as much as I think she does like Nick, I think it would be really hard for her to leave all the support she has with Maggie and Amelia, and even Richard. Or maybe Amelia decides to move to MN for Kai as well and everyone just leaves for MN 😂

Idk she had a pretty big epiphany in this episode. It would be pretty stupid if the writers just let that mean nothing.

Maybe somehow the answer to their losing their teaching accreditation or whatever is that Meredith takes over the hospital or something ridiculous like that. Then she is literally in charge and no one can see her as ‘less than’ or whatever. I just done see how she leaves and the show continues with her in another state?

Like she saves the hospital by somehow taking over or by moving some big new project there or whatever. Maybe she convinces Nick to move to Seattle. It seems like a more reasonable alternative considering she’s got all the family and kids rooted there.

She’s got 3 kids and family support in Seattle. I know he’s close with his niece, but that’s it! I have qualms about this!

But to say that’s it about his niece that he seems to have raised and his life isn’t really fair either. I hope they all work something out Bc I do think Meredith has a good connection with nick. But I’m not sure what that good scenario would look like.

I had to search for this thread lol.
Any thoughts? I am confused slightly on Owen and Teddy. Are they leaving the country?? Are they really just gonna run forever??
Pleaaaaase leave Jo and Linc friends and let them keep it at that and stop the weirdness
Can Jackson and April please stay??
I feel kind of bad for Meredith. But it also is kind of fitting for her to be in role. It's kinda fucked she's just left to clean up all the messes by herself

This was a really big finale. I mean they usually are but wow. Lots to unpack here. I am finally getting caught up obviously.
First of all this crap with Teddy and Owen fleeing the state(country?) is just so ridiculous OMG. I was rolling my eyes so hard at all of that. They will be able to be tracked with a flight ticket so presumably they are going somewhere with no extradition because how else would they stay safe?
Also I am glad that Maggie and Winston are going to be ok but mid-episode when Maggie was freaking out, I was like really? REALLY? Maggie gets so ridiculous sometimes. She cannot relate to the feelings he has about his brother because its just simply a fact that she didn't grow up with her sisters. It IS different. It doesn't make it less than or bad, just different. And she made it so dramatic as if it was this huge insult.
Anyway. I'm pissed at Meredith but that isn't anything new. She fucked up royally as usual and isn't going to get in trouble but rather just has to clean up her mess. And she fucked her relationship up which is so dumb because he put up with all of her crap.
I wonder how long Bailey is going to be gone. I haven't googled on whether the actress is leaving the show. I did like seeing Jackson and April back and seeing them happy. I miss them both on the show.
I wouldn't be sad if Jo and Linc got back together but I know I am in the minority in that I really like them together.

He was very clearly not saying that she didn’t know/understand siblings, but living with someone your whole life is a very different situation. I hate when the writers do this with Maggie, this is definitely not the first time.

After she met Winston her character got so much better and then this happened and I was like nooo not immature Maggie.

Finally watched it. The camera work looks more and more soap opera-esque with every episode.
It was good, lots going on. Is Meredith having a breakdown? Holy flashbacks. No surprise Bailey handed her the keys. I'll be curious to see what they do with all the now displaced residents too.

What does the end of the residency program mean for Jo? Does she go back to surgery? Or does she leave to finish her OB training?

I'm pretty sure you're correct because they kept mentioning the "surgical residency program" so I don't think it effects other residency programs in the hospital.
