Thank you all v much 💜💜. I don’t know what would make things easier/better right now, which is why it feels so hard, I think.
I’m trying to start the habit of doing a mindfulness exercise each morning to help control my racing thoughts.

charlotte, I don't know what your right now struggles are and definitely do mindfulness exercises if it feels like they help you. But also recognize that it is not a moral failing to not be able to control the swirling tornados of shit that can surround us (or be within us) sometimes. Life can legit be stupid hard sometimes and it's ok to sit down in the middle of it and take a breather for as long as you need one. It's like climbing a steep mountain. We don't kick ourselves for the mountain being hard, we just put one foot in front of the other until it's some version of done. Ha, I hope that that all made sense. I just know that mindfulness exercises can sometimes mean that you're taking on the emotional responsibility of everything that's hard and then feel worse when you can't make it easy. Sometimes life is just hard and just putting one foot in front of other is enough.

I’m seeing a neurologist about Lyme tomorrow and I’m quite anxious.

charlotte sending love and peace and strength. ovenrack big hugs. A friend of mine is currently undergoing treatment for long-term Lymes. Let me know if you need someone to connect with; I'm sure she'd be happy to share her experience.

Thanks, everyone. I guess my anxiety is from the uncertainty.
I’m going to be doing some more tests over the next month in hopes of clearly diagnosing either neuro lyme or MS. Clearly I am hoping it’s the former. My symptoms are annoying but totally manageable.
The neurologist was nice. I hope I don’t have to call my insurance too many times.

ovenrack, I hope that it's lyme and that you get some clear answers. I had a similar concern over the summer. The odds in your favor of lyme vs MS is that this would be on the late side for MS to present. Obviously the odds aren't zero, but the odds are in your favor there.

We went out of town this weekend and I forgot to bring my SSRI. All was well until this morning.. I was so out-of-whack and unlike myself. Panicking, crying, etc. Then battling extreme nausea the whole way home.
All will be fine as we’ve just gotten home and I’ve taken my med and climbed straight into bed. I wasn’t expecting that type of reaction and would like to never experience it again!

I now keep 1-2 pills in my car, in my purse, in my overnight bag, in my work bag, in every random location I can think of to stash a pill. After having been on them for so many years, and trying different pills and different dosages, and occasionally missing a pill here or there, I’ve been able to stash a few extras away. I hope you feel better and get some rest friend. Good luck dear.

I’m really struggling today. Hugs. Take some deep breaths. Try to do something for yourself. Try to catch a break somehow. A short drive with the windows down and the music blasting. Paint your nails in the bathroom with the door locked. Add extra creamer to your coffee or splurge for a fancy latte at the local coffee place. Think of something you can look forward to.

I’ve got all my herbs and antidepressants and vitamins in a pill organizer, which has helped with reliably taking them.
I’m pretty anxious about all my unknown medical stuff, but I’m trying to just go through the motions in the meantime. I called my insurance to confirm that my next medical tests will be covered.
My house is cluttered which definitely contributes to my sense of overwhelm.
Today, I will eat good food, tidy the house, and walk to pick up the kids.

I reached out to some therapists again to try to get some help with parenting and to add more tools to our box. I’ll be making a call to my doctor in the morning to try to have my meds adjusted.
I went for a drive and cried for a while and then I hit a goose and cried some more. Actually, it hit me. Me and my van are fine, but I can’t say the same for Goose.

Husband: you should really get out and start doing things on your own. Me: there’s a yoga studio I’d like to try, but they are mask optional on your mat if you provide proof of vaccination Husband: I don’t recommend that Proceeds to go play volleyball indoors at a bar where masks are no where to be seen. But they definitely stay 6ft apart at all times.
