Well, got my test results and no premature menopause. I didn't really care either way, just wanted an explanation for some symptoms I have been having. Ah well.
3 miles and back lifting today.

9 1/2 mile run barefoot on the beach at sunrise and then a little extra with sneakers on the road. I soaked in a hot tub afterward and it felt so good. Damn, well done! I find barefoot beach running to be so difficult.

I find barefoot beach running to be so difficult. Thanks! It definitely is harder, but I am enjoying the extra challenge. I figure it’s probably great for helping to strengthen my calves and all the muscles in my ankles and feet!

beatch in addition to what others have suggested, when I use my belt I only use collapsible bottles. They don’t slosh and take up less space as you run. I think I have one from naked running and another from hydra pack.

I'm checking back in after a couple of weeks off. We were evacuated from a fire about a week and a half ago (for 4 days), so I didn't pay any attention to what I ate. I did manage a couple of workouts though; which helped with the stress. Then last week I had to work at our county fair and fully embraced the fair food. It was delicious. I didn't workout at all; but averaged 12k steps a day. When I finally got back to spin class on saturday, I could feel all of the greasy food leeching out of me.
Today is a new day and a new week. I did a lot of meal prepping and I am ready to stick to the plan.
B: Leftover quinoa salad and scrambled eggs; coffee w oat milk AM Snack: Cashews, dried coconut L: Big green salad with lots of veggies - topped with ground turkey and quinoa mix and ranch dressing D: Cauliflower pizza, cucumber, baby carrots

Good evening!
Can't remember when I last posted. H and I saw Green Day/Weezer/Fallout Boy Friday night. Went to a brewery near the concert for lunch and had a lobster roll and some amazing sour beers. Chicken fingers for dinner at the concert, not too many options there. The next morning we met friends for brunch + drinks. Did nothing Saturday night after we got back and ate a leftover turkey burger for dinner. Yesterday was boat all day, where we grilled steaks. Takeout Chinese for dinner. So yeah, food has not been super healthy haha.
B - toast, turkey bacon, clementine L - leftover Chinese food (Szechuan shrimp) D - leftover sandwich from Saturday's lunch (prime rib sandwich) and salad S - ?
20 min glutes/legs with Ben, 10 min G/L with Rad, 10 min core with Rad, 20 min 90s ride with Robin.
It's going to be a week. DS is home with me all week because his in-home daycare provider is on vacation. Work is ramping up because school starts on the 30th so I have a ton to do while he's here. He also turns 5 Saturday and we're having a small family party, so I need to get the house/yard semi cleaned up. H is basically useless because he's a school principal and he's swamped because they start next week. Good times.

Squats went well tonight. 340 for an easy-ish set of 4. Finally kept my butt down for every one of my bench reps. Too bad it's less than I lift in meets, but it's a start.

1 hour tempo ride and a 3 mile run today. Day was a bit busy and I’m in bed watching tv now.
Hoping for a double again tomorrow.

30 min sweat steady ride with Jess King 10 min cool down with Olivia 10 min MOS Ibiza full body stretch with Ben
For some reason 3 people high fived me during the stretch. As far as I can tell, it wasn’t a milestone class and I didn’t get any badges. Who high fives during a stretch?! It’s not like on the bike where your hands are free. 😂

Ran 3.1 miles this morning through the hills in my neighborhood. It was a really strong run, I felt good even though my pace was slower, but it usually is because it is steep hills. It is kind of CD 1 today though (I have an IUD so aside from the crippling cramps it's not always clear if it's really anything) which messes with my insides and I got about .75 miles away and had a bathroom emergency. I went into the woods behind the playground that I was running past and went and prayed no one saw me even though I was pretty well concealed. I was able to succesfully continue running another 2.35 miles, but I was pretty... uncomfortable for the rest of the day and still am. The joys of exercise.
Food was good this morning, lots of protein and precisely tracked. I did have some ice cream this afternoon though after mini golf and didn't track the rest of my day even though it was decent. I plan to track consistently the rest of the week though.

Have not caught up yet.
Concussions suck. I’m waiting on a referral for balance therapy to go through. It affected my balance just enough to be a problem - I’m not falling more often, but my falls aren’t as controlled. I have ice on everything because when I fell a couple hours ago I didn’t land right, and I did some damage. I’m pretty sure that if my balance was where it was prior to the concussion, I wouldn’t have landed wrong. It wasn’t an atypical fall, and it wasn’t in a bad area (no counters, door frames, etc.). But I didn’t land right.

oceanblue I’m sorry about the air quality. I haven’t done a good job checking in lately either. Rusty Red Congratulations on your vacation with no tracking! I’m sorry your sleep isn’t good. A sleep study is definitely worth doing - as far as medical tests go, it was easy. I had to do the afternoon nap part too, so I was there from about 7pm until 4pm the next day, but if I hadn’t had to do the afternoon part I would have been out by 9am. And the glue they use really isn’t bad - it comes out pretty easily (lol I have experience with the glue they use for 72hr+ tests, and that stuff sticks). sunshinedaisies I’m so sorry about your back and arm, and it impacting your plans. I’ve been there, and it really sucks to not be physically capable of conducting planned activities. You won’t lose all your progress. Once you heal, even if you did lose progress you’ll regain anything you lost much quicker than you think you will. potatocakes I’m glad you’re feeling better! newspapers I’m sorry your hip pain is back. beerlover Congratulations on your 500th strength! filingjointly So sorry about the broken toe! loki Congratulations on your pelvic alignment being the best your pt has seen! moosemom Congratulations on taking the time to do what you can! FlightView Congratulations on going to the gym! RunsforWineandCarbs Congratulations on registration! I just went back to school, and it’s been an adjustment. melohdy I’m so sorry about having to be evacuated.

Sleep last night was pretty much nonexistent. So definitely didn’t meet that goal. I did meditate. I’m not sure if I’ll do foam rolling today or not - it depends on how I end up feeling. Self care will probably be lots of ice, heat, and going to bed as soon as I get off work. I’m debating taking ibuprofen - trying to decide between taking it now and taking it tonight.

last night i fit in 30 min yoga with cjr - arethea franklin one. i really enjoyed it well most of it. my feet get weird when i do a lot of lunges, like they feel swollen and sore and i can't do lunges. i think i just need to work on strengthening them? idk. Took the kids with me to run group and they rode their bikes. DS ran short intervals with me for 2 mins then sat down and waited for us to turn around. haha.
My alarm did not go off this morning; i need to check to see if i turned it off. womp womp. After work I will do a mile warm up, 5k hard, 1 mile cool down.
Food: B: protein shake, chocolate and strawberries with protein milk S: hard boiled egg / nectarine L: grilled chicken salad with broccoli and ranch S: greek yogurt with granola D: grilled burgers, baked beans and fries.

Morning all from sunny South Haven MI. Yesterday was a rest day but I did a ton of walking around the town and on the beach, along with a lot of lazing in the water before feasting at Taste. I got in 2.25 miles doing Week 8/Day 1 if You Can Run (30 minutes of endurance running with Wilpers). Only one workout left! I did a 5 minute post-run stretch with Wilpers as well.

Morning.
I did a 60 minute bootcamp with Jess Sims. Picked up 3.6 miles and now I'm dead. Those freaking classes are hard as shit. The final floor portion always destroys me. I am done. But I have a 30 minute yoga planned for tonight, so that too still. Woof.
I'm taking the kids to an indoor play cafe today, so we'll likely eat lunch there. So lunch is TBD. Dinner will just be BBQ chicken sandwiches and sweet potato fries. I have to do some food prep still today so trying to keep the rest easy.
