Sorry for the lack of new thread - here's one (finally!) Welcome to the IUI/TI check in! This check-in is for anyone who is doing IUI, medicated TI, or natural/break cycles between treatments or during testing. If you want to be added to this check-in, please tag me (daisy818) and answer the following questions: 1) Where are you in the IUI or TI process? (2WW, meds, break, etc.) 2) Which IUI or TI cycle are you on? 3) (If you're in the 2WW) When is your test/beta day? Everyone else: please update us on your current cycle! QOTW: Summertime question - do you prefer a beach or a pool (assuming equally accessible)?*** Currently in Cycle: 2WW: daisy818 (Natural Cycle) Break/Bench/Natural Cycle: amberr fatpony orangehibiscus westiemom 2017 Grads: {Spoiler} Thechickencoop kensie5226 sarahh Aprilz81 nuggetrn

So it looks like I finally ovulated! Looks like CD39. Had blood drawn today for progesterone levels and to check up on my AMH. I'll start BCPs on CD2 and then we'll schedule a saline sono and a mock transfer for late July or first week of August, and then I'll just do another natural cycle for August/early September I guess (unless he decides to have me just stay on BCPs till we cycle in September?)
QOTW: I love the beach - I wish I lived closer to one. Both my siblings live on the Carolina coast and I am very jealous.

I'm so glad you finally ovulated daisy818! Good luck with IVF! I have absolutely everything crossed for you! So...I'm benched for 3 months post-Methotrexate. I get to burn the bench on October 14. I think this break will be good for us mentally. I'm also going to try to focus on losing some weight. We'll see how well that goes though. **TW Loss** I'm just starting the actual physical process of miscarrying, and I'm ready for this to be over. **End TW** QOTW: It depends...I definitely prefer the pool for swimming and lounging around. I prefer the ocean for fishing and scalloping. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

daisy818 thanks for the check in. You can remove me. I'm stopping IUI and moving towards IVF by end of year. Much love to everyone. Wishing all much luck!

orangehibiscus, I hate the reason you are benched, but I hope you are right and the break will be good for you and YH mentally. Big hugs!

Good luck with IVF amberr! I have everything crossed for you! Thank you daisy818! I really appreciate it. Was a decision ever made about who is taking over the TI/IUI check in? I know we talked about it, but I can't remember what was decided (if anything). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

orangehibiscus, I don't think it was ever decided who would take over the thread. I'm happy to keep it up for now (poor as my posting it may be).

Hi, I'm new here.
1. I'm on CD5 currently. I'm taking Femera days 3-7. 2. This is our 1st IUI cycle. We have 3 chances with IUI before we have to move to IVF.
QOTW: I probably prefer the beach. I don't like to swim, so a beach is better for playing and people watching.

Hi jacks! Looks like we are starting with the same-ish protocol. I'm waiting for CD1. Finished my last Provera pill yesterday.

1) Waiting for CD1 to get here (finished Provera yesterday) 2) Which IUI or TI cycle are you on? First IUI cycle once it starts. QOTW: I love water. For relaxing, I prefer a pool with a swim up bar I like the beach, but I hate sand.

Hi jacks - welcome! fatpony - Sorry still no AF - I have no experience from Provera but I always assumed it worked quickly. So I'm 13dpo in my long cycle. I got my "CD21" bloodwork results, so it confirmed ovulation (progesterone level was good) and I also found out my AMH is way higher than last year - it went from 1.6 last May (which is pretty average for a 35 year old I think) to 3.5!! I guess the Co-Q10 and vitamin D supplements have helped.

fatpony I *think* it can take 5-7 days to start your period after finishing Provera. daisy818 I'm glad your labs confirmed O and that your AMH is way up!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

fatpony I hope CD1 shows up soon. daisy818 That is great news about your AMH. My doctor recommended Co-Q10, but I have been slacking. I'm going to add it back in to my daily vitamin routine though. I had my u/s this morning and the egg is on the left side. My left tube was questionable, so they recommended we pass on this cycle. So now I'm just waiting for CD1 again and hoping I'm not out of town the wrong week in August.

orangehibiscus I guess based on the HSG, they aren't 100% sure the left tube is open? I should have asked more questions probably. It wasn't mentioned after the test, but this is the first time I've been back to the office since then.

Interesting jacks. Are they doing any follow up on the possibly blocked left tube? With my first HSG, no dye went up my left side at all. It looked literally like there was a divide halfway in my uterus because the dye only went up the right side. I ended up having a second HSG, and dye went up and put both sides. It turns out that the first HSG was done incorrectly (bad positioning of the catheter), which made the dye only go up one side. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well, my beta today was 2, which is negative. No more labs for me!
RE wants me to go on BCP for our bench time, which feels weird since we have been TTC for a while. We despise condoms though, so I think we'll do BCP.

Glad you are finished with the labs, orangehibiscus - hope the bench time flies by! jacks, sorry about the egg being on the wrong side - fx for next cycle! Are you still waiting for CD1, fatpony? My temp dropped some this morning and I can't stop stuffing my face with chocolate, so I expect CD1 tomorrow (I'm 16dpo today - long LP I guess). I'll start BCPs on CD2 and then schedule my saline u/s - hope the ute is still looking good, it's been well over a year since my last saline u/s. I'm not sure if he'll just keep me on BCP or let me go au natural till September, but I worry a bit about having another long cycle and having it mess up the timing for IVF.

Thanks for the nudge to call, orangehibiscus. Just talked to the nurse. The HSG was back in March. It was just saline, no dye. She said the left side wasn't blocked necessarily, just that they couldn't see, so they weren't sure. I'm frustrated that it's been 3 months and I could have had a follow-up test by now. But I can't change that now. I'm out for this cycle. I'm going to focus on losing the weight I gained from all the eating Femera made me do. If I have to wait for the right side and they alternate months, I think I'll be waiting until October.

If I have to wait for the right side and they alternate months, I think I'll be waiting until October. If it was just a saline ultrasound then that's not an HSG. An HSG uses contrast dye and an x-ray to check the tubes. A saline ultrasound (sometimes called an SHG, which causes lots of confusion) is more to examine the uterus - while it can show some things regarding tubes, it's not conclusive. So I would not let them cancel on you again based just on the saline test, and I would ask to have an actual HSG. FX your left tube is actually okay! My initial test thought I had two blocked tubes but the HSG showed they were both fine.

I was originally scheduled for HSG, but on the day-of the nurse said she was just using saline. I never really heard anything more about it until yesterday. The doctor is calling me Monday to re-group and game plan. We only have 3 vials of IUI sperm, so I do think they're being overly cautious.

Ugh! Sorry you're dealing with this jacks. I hope you can get an HSG scheduled soon. Make sure you do it with people who do these a lot. I had to have mine redone because I did it at a place much closer to where I live. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
