Mid-October?!
Scott Gottlieb thinks we’ve been in this we’ve for awhile now and we will peak sooner than we think. He’s been right a lot and that’s way more optimistic so I’m going with that. My hope is we will be on the downturn again when school starts.

We are going to be worse when school starts. |

I’m on a train right now and even though Amtrak requires masks there is absolutely no one checking and more unmasked people than I’m comfortable with. There hasn’t even been 1 conductor coming through to check tickets and maybe try to enforce it. I could have rode for free I guess!
I’m angry that I stepped out of my comfort zone for an event because I thought the train would be safe. I put my purse on my seat next to me after the masked woman I was sitting down to left because if someone unmasked tries to sit down, I’m saying no.

We are going to be worse when school starts. Yep. I think it's going to be a rolling peak. Some states will be late August through mid-September because school starts at the beginning of August. Others don't start until after Labor Day and so their peaks will be towards the end of September and rolling into October. |

Thank you all. This past month has been rough. But good new is that the fucking governor is finally taking it seriously and is offering a chance at 10k for getting vaccinated. Which still doesn’t help those who have serious concerns, but anything to help protect those who cannot is a okay by me. covidvaccine.mo.gov/win/ |

WWYD: my 4 yo takes tumbling classes and today only about 3 kids were wearing masks (out of 2-3 dozen kids). My husband said he was only one of a few spectators that had on a mask. The policy, that I didn’t realized just changed, is that it’s up to each family to determine masking, And teachers don’t have to mask if they’re vaccinated but they’re not checking vaccinations. I thought CA still required unvaccinated to wear masks indoors so I’m a little annoyed/mad
We pay monthly and tonight is the deadline to cancel for next month - Would you pull the kid? It is doubtful now that I’ll put the older one in camp there now

DD loves dance class but we still haven't felt comfortable sending her back yet - but she is doing outdoor swim lessons and some 3-day outdoor day camps. |
