Where do they get this shit? I asked for a citation. 🤷♀️ Huge flu season? It's a different strain year to year because of mutations, no? It has no bearing on it. I'd like to point out though, that thanks to mask wearing during what is typically flu season, there was only ONE pediatric death from the flu this year. ONE in the entire country. Normally there are over 200 every year. So she can go shove it. |

I've just been keeping my mouth shut around people I know as of late, as I've been accused of being a big pharma vaccine shill (I mean, hi, this is what I fucking do for a living) - but the Delta variant scares the bejesus out of me. We are so close SO CLOSE to getting kids vaccinated. I need people to act right for another couple of weeks. And then I need more people to get the vaccine so that we don't end up with a vaccine resistant strain, which is a very real possibility.

Christ. I want to go to sleep and wake up in September or October when my 3 year old can get vaccinated.
We have a beach trip planned for early August and I'm nervous. And there's the fact that he's in daycare every day.

Even the Bay Area that has high vax rates is experiencing a bit of an increase in cases. Everything I’ve heard is it’s in the unvaccinated. But still troubling.

lemondrop - that's a bummer. I was hoping they'd have theirs released at close to the same time to make sure everyone who wants their kids vaxxed can get them vaxxed without too much of a supply issue/delay.

At least back then there was the little bit of comfort from mask mandates and Covid precautions so my kids had a tiny bit of protection from the pro-pandemic crowd. Now there's not even that. |
