Good morning. I went out with my coworker last night and we had so much fun but o didn't sleep well and I'm exhausted. Training was so boring yesterday. I'm hoping it's more interesting today.
Update on the bitches at work: One of the girls I'm here with is part of the mean girls group from the Probation office. I haven't had a problem with her but I know she's influential in the group so I told her what I overheard (two girls were bitching about me last week). Long story short one girl is frustrated with me because she covered a shift for me (her idea when I presented a problem) at the front desk and I wasn't available to help when she needed it. So even though she offered herself, she expected something in return. So now I'm not a team player. The girl she was talking with is the receptionist and she is insecure about her job title and takes it personally that people don't want to cover reception like we look down on the position.
To sum it up, it's their own issues. I haven't decided if I'll try to smooth it over by offering to take another shift. Because I don't want to play into this BS and that might be the easiest thing to do now but playing into this could come back to bite me.
Covering reception (I cover 1.5hrs a few times a week and a half day when the receptionist is out) is not a primary job duty for me and is something I've been asked to do to help out if it's feasible. I haven't had a problem with the work load but the more this cattiness goes on, the less feasible it will become for me. My immediate supervisor knows what's going on and is ready to throw down on my behalf. Im just waiting it out a bit since I will be working with these people for the next 20 years.

wedding I'm glad you had a fun night out! Also glad you at least know the root of the mean girls issues. I hope that with time things get better there. Working in an environment where there is that kind of drama going on is never fun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's insane that they are this immature. I work with so many other amazing people so I'm just going to focus on those relationships.

Happy to be at work. Jack was so sweet this morning and instead of immediately dragging me to the living room to play tractors he snuggled up to me for a minute. Then tractors lol. When I went to leave I told everyone bye and gave them hugs and kisses and Jack called out "ok bye!" He's such a little person now and it's both sad and fun to see.

She's almost 400 pounds now and her mom is 3,000 pounds. She's basically the size of her moms head lol.
And we had a baby black rhino born there yesterday.

Good morning from the office, 2 cups of coffee in. All is okay here. Work has been busy, but a good busy. The boys are running me ragged but they're so fun right now. Now that Chase is walking, we've got to keep an even closer eye on them, as they are both constantly trying to snatch things from each other. Chase is sick again, or maybe still sick? I don't even know anymore. He's also cutting all his 1 year molars simultaneously, and he's relatively cheery considering. Colin has been behaving better at school and - knock on wood - hasn't been running around the parking lot at pick-up. He's gone backwards with the night training though, I'm really not sure there's anything we can do about it though. He's great when he's awake, so I'm just trying to be thankful for that.
Anyhow I need some ideas for a 40th birthday present. It's for my friend M, who I met on a trip to South America 10 years ago. She's got a 17 month old boy, a dog, and she and her husband love to travel and drink. The easy answer is a bottle of Malbec, because when we first met, we spent an afternoon drinking Malbec in Buenos Aires and got lost 2 blocks from our hotel. But I feel like I should get her booze and a little something else. I just haven't figured it out yet!!

wedding It's like you're at my old office, it's awful. If it were me I would not go back and 'payback' thinking it would even the score, I would send a very properly worded email stating that you're open to covering and if there is any confusion or tension then suggest a schedule, that although you can't head up, you'd be happy to provide input. Bitches like that don't like to be looked as a catty, so if you recognize it in the open they might change their tune or at least stop talking about you. Then focus on your positive relationships, as you mentioned.

wedding How incredibly frustrating to have to deal with their pettiness. Morning! Both my kids are at day care so I have three glorious hours alone! I feel like I just broke out of jail or something. I forgot how hard dropoffs can be. Z screamed bloody murder and flailed her body and clutched on to me as I handed her off. This is her second day but yesterday was only an hour. How long does it take for them to like going to school? ??? The plan is for both kids to go 3 hours a day until I get a job then go full time. It's costing us extra money but i need the time to be able to actually look for a job and interview.

There's those maps that you scratch off where you've been, think she'd like something like that? Or maybe a travel journal.

Enjoy your time snoopmommymom, I'm glad you guys came up with a plan for you to have sometime to focus, it'll be nice for you to have a break. For us, it took about a month for B to get used to daycare schedule.

work work work
I got out of the shower this morning and Cadence had taken over my bed and was fast asleep. I guess when mh woke her up she wasn't ready. I let her sleep while I finished getting ready, then got her up. She was moving at a snail's pace. Then when I told her I needed my phone and to use mh's she hit mh, then refused to apologize other than in a smartass way. I told her there would be no post-swim Subway if she couldn't straighten up. We'll see how her day goes. She spit at her teacher yesterday, but then put herself in time out for it before the teacher could say anything because she knew she was in trouble.
Also, are any of you dealing with letter possession? Cadence says all Cs are hers because her name starts with C and that's her letter. Cute, sure, until it comes time for activities involving other children. No one is allowed to have any Cs whatsoever. They were working on an alphabet puzzle yesterday and couldn't complete it because Cadence refused to let them have the C piece. I've tried explaining there are many Cs and you have more fun when you share, but she isn't having it. Nouns are ok to use Cs (cat, car, etc.) but no one can have a name that starts with C because that is hers.....

Morning!
Watching Daniel Tiger over here and waiting for the sun to come out, so we can do something after Charlie's nap. I showered last night and didn't dry my hair so now it's a frizzy sort of wavy sort of straight mess that will require more attention then the time I would've spent drying it last night..

Just logged into the dc camera. Why must the teacher always do painting activities when the girls have dance day and are in their leos? Cadence is covered in blue paint. That shit better wash out.

wedding, I think I would not go above and beyond to help, but would do so if asked by my manager. I'm sorry you're dealing with high schooler behavior. klong11 can you ask her to put on a smock, or bring an old shirt to go over her clothes when they paint? Hey. Work work work here. I'm being reorganized today into a new group that I'm....less than thrilled about. I need there to just be no more changes for a bit.
