We need to step up our chip game in our house. I’m embarrassed to say that we’ve been eating Tostitos for years, even though we don’t even think they taste very good. At this point I think we just keep buying them because we haven’t given it too much thought. For whatever reason this week I decided we deserve better. Rec your favorite tortilla chips below

Maybe try the ones that aren't prepackaged? Does your store have the ones that arent branded and in a bag? It's been so long that I've been to a store that I forget where they are but probably deli/bakery area.

I will check it out the next time I’m at the store.

Trader Joe's has a 2lb bag of salted ones for like $3 that are probably our favorites. They're also in a resealable bag, which is really awesome. We also like the Santitas brand.

We use the casa Sanchez brand for both chips and salsa. I get it at Safeway if you have that in your area.

Wegman's made in store chips are the best. The best best. They are usually found conveniently near the avocados. It's like $6 a bag but I won't eat anything else.

Thank you all so much! It really is time for us to live our best chip life over here.
It looks like some of these brands are not available in my area (Mid-Atlantic). But we do have trader Joe’s, Safeway, Wegmans, Costco and Whole Foods, so hopefully I should be able to find a lot of them.
I may do a full on taste test with a rubric and everything.

It really depends on some variables. if you like thick chips that work for chunky salsa and guac. Or thin chips for thinner salsas or plain chips with right amount of salt and good crunch.
Like mi nanas and their fresh salsa. On the border are pretty good but thinner. My grocery does fresh homemade but not everybody has that.

I really like Trader Joe’s Restraunt Style White Corn Tortilla Chips. They have a bit of lime added to them, which I really like.

I like Late July On the Border (surprisingly) Snyder's but I don't see it in stores anymore
When we pick up chips and queso from the Mexican restaurant we usually get extra chips.

I will tritto Julio's if you can get them. They are my fav. Yes to everything pobre rec'd but most is probably local for us. I personally love "Food Should Taste Good" multigrain tortilla chips. I'm not necessarily a healthy eater, I just really like these. I buy them at Costco.

Juanita's and Josephina's are the best. I'm fairly certain that Josephina's are only sold in the same region as Juanita's even though they are made by Frito-Lay. They are essentially Frito-Lay's answer to try and get back market share from the regional Juanita's.
