I have an OB appointment this morning. I'm dragging my feet to hop in the shower because I'm enjoying Catfish. Priorities, obviously.

GL at your appointment jessijean,. Do you know what all they are doing today? I have an appointment tomorrow. I think it's just bloodwork and a short appointment with the OB and possibly the Doppler. I wish we could get another ultrasound.

Gm all,
Hope everyone had a good weekend! My first appt is Wed but it's a non event (just an "intro" type appt) so I'm just annoyed I have to leave work. Maybe I can convince them to use the doppler.

Good morning! Not much going on today for us. I am going to work for a few hours when MH comes home on break. G's teacher is coming over at 11:45 today. Other than that, no plans. I have to figure out what I'm making for dinner.

I slept like shit last night... Both hot and cold, very strange dreams and nightmares... A nap will be on the agenda today for sure.

I am going to try to be a helpful wife and mow the lawn today but it is 90 degrees. It usually takes around 2 hours so I am just hoping I don't die haha. I have a job interview this afternoon that I am nervous for. I think I have already talked myself out of taking the position if offered but I am going to still at least wait and see what happens.

Cross posted from J15 - so today we were supposed to get our AC fixed after 15 days without AC. The part that the home warranty company sent to the local repair company was bad so they couldn't fix it. It took a week and a half for them to get this part. I am going to lose it. It's in the 90s this week plus humidity and the little AC unit we bought is barely cutting it in the basement where we are living.

My BIL runs a HVAC company and he says that home warranty companies are THE WORST about repairs and he actually stopped working with them. They only do the bare minimum to "fix" it (and I use that term lightly) instead of doing what is right and making the proper repair so it doesn't happen again. If part a is broken and it could possibly affect part B the home warranty company would only pay to repair part A and leave Part B and hope that it didn't break in two weeks.

They had to replace the compressor for $2k less than two years ago and that's what went bad again. If they had just fixed it the right way or replaced the whole thing back then we wouldn't be in the predicament we are in right now.

I parked in the expectant moms spot at our commissary today (grocery store on base) and felt like a fraud bc I'm still not showing at 14w. But hey I know I'm pregnant & it cut my trip in half bc it takes almost as long to find a parking spot as it does to drive to the commissary so I'm taking full advantage of this now!
Also got our weekly groceries for $37 so feeling like a boss.

My experiences with home warranties, plus what my BIL tells me, is why I will never pay for one out of pocket. By the time you pay the fee to think you are covered you can just save that money and have it fixed RIGHT by someone who really knows how to fix it. Because of the run around they give both clients and contractors the truly "good guys" refuse to work with the warranty companies and you are left with those who just need jobs to pay the bills and you end up with less than great repairs.

You submit your grocery list and someone else shops for you AND BRINGS IT TO YOUR HOUSE. $99 a year, a tip to the delivery person and free delivery for orders over $35. So far my only complaint is that the app doesn't fully sync with the inventory at the store and there are some substitutions. But to not have to do the shopping myself is getting more and more convenient the more I use it. We had to pick up a few odds and ends at the store after church yesterday and it was so crowded and we had to wait in line to check out and I forgot what a hassle it was to be at the grocery store.

I am so tired of being sick every day and yet every day it is such a relief... That and being Monday didn't help matters. I am jealous that DS gets to go to camp today. I don't want to adult! lol

To clarify (bc I've heard people talk about shipt before & ive been confused) the $99 is for the service right? You pay for your groceries on top of that correct? It sounds super cool & probably so nice not to go to the store! As much as I'd like that, our commissary prices are unreal, like a package of organic chicken breasts is $4. Publix would be $10-12. Also tax-free so our savings there are ridiculous. My issue is we live 15 min from base (not bad) but the parking is horrible. They built a new commissary last year in the Parking lot of the old one & now they are tearing down the old one to make more parking but until then we literally have maybe 50 spots haha. So I drive in circles forever waiting to get a spot. Once I'm in there it's maybe a 20 minute trip bc I'm super fast. Hence the rejoicing over being able to use the expectant moms spot for the next 6-7 months!!!

Trying to pack for a few days at the beach while E runs around like a madman. I'm so tired, I'm sure he'll fall asleep in the car but then I'll still be exhausted when we get there! Hopefully I can lay down for a bit and my family can hang with E. DH couldn't really take off work this week so he'll meet us there each evening and maybe will take Wed-Fri off if they get a lot done before then. Let us know how your appt goes, jessijean! peachesncream, good luck cutting the grass! Just take breaks and drink a lot of water! sarahh, sorry to hear of the AC woes. That would make me mad!

dragonflyinn, It's not quite as cheap as commissary prices, but we just got an Aldi here which is awesome for me. Instead of $100/week on our groceries, I can usually get out of there only spending about $60. Huge difference!

You play for the groceries (prices listed in the app which may be different than in store sale prices) and tip the delivery person/shopper (same person) through the app. I find that I spend less overall in groceries because I have less impulse items ending in my cart. It won't touch commissary prices I'm sure but I think I'll keep using the service. It will be especially helpful this winter when I'm hugely pregnant or after delivery.

sarahh was just a quick vitals, measure, doppler, see ya next time type visit. I'm measuring on track and she found the hb immediately at 145. She was almost surprised I was feeling movement already?? I also have been texting my neurologist this morning. Instead of increasing a half a pill per usual, they are increasing by 1.5 pills. Makes me a tad nervous about side effects but it's better than having seizures. Lab work on Thursday and increase if necessary this weekend. The neuro is on vacation the end of the week but is going to be checking my chart and will be texting me once labs come in. She's so down to earth and dedicated to make sure I'm okay.

That's what I've heard from others too, that you still end up saving bc of the impulse buying is a non issue. I may have to look into it for when H is deployed next summer. Nothing worse than trekking across a parking lot in 100 degrees with babies in tow 😩

aprilz81, we do something similar but at our local grocery. I shop online and they bag it and I just go through their drive through and they load it in my car. It has definitely cut down on the impulse purchases and forced me to meal plan more than when I wander around the store aimlessly. I think it's $4.99 each order I do which I know I save way more than that by not being at the store.

I have an OB appt this afternoon, pretty sure it's just weight, bp and Doppler. My older two are at VBS this morning and my youngest is happily playing in silence with one of those wooden bead on wire structure things soooooo I'm enjoying the silence. Also attempting to get our house back in order after basically 2.5 weeks of chaos and vacation + feeling like crap for two months straight. Definitely starting to see the light at the end of the first tri tunnel!!

So the shoppers don't always know their products. 🤷🏼♀️

Well, I survived our move over the weekend. I'm exhausted. I would have normally taken a day or 2 to recoup, but because I'm new, I have zero vacation time. But, we're in and getting used to our new surroundings. DD went to her new daycare this morning. MH had to take her because I did not have the heart to drop her off in tears. I know it will have to happen later this week, but I wasn't ready today. So far, she's doing ok. The only girl in a room full of 8-10 boys so I'm sure she's getting lots of attention.
I am (im)patiently waiting for my results from the cellfree DNA test that will hopefully come between tomorrow and the end of the week. This wait is killing me.
Hope everyone has a good week!

I am a frequent user of this because I don't enjoy grocery shopping, I normally have to take DD with me and I can't focus on shopping because she's running around like a crazy person, it keeps me from buying more than I need, I don't forget stuff, and MH can log on and add stuff to the cart. They offer same day pickup which is nice. I won't use it for small orders less than $50 or so. I usually spend $150-170 on those orders which ends up saving me so much $$$ because I can't impulse buy. Yesterday, I went grocery shopping. Pregnant and hungry. I bought the most random shit ever and spent $230! 🙈 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Mine seems significantly higher and I think I need to address that with better planning!

Good morning! We might head to the park in bit. Taking a break on the potty training front, he just wasn't getting and it was driving me bonkers. Potty training is no joke. I keep thinking if this was the right thing to do since I was almost a week in. My sanity needs a break and the kid could care less about being in a diaper! Will try again in a week or so. I would really like him to be trained when he starts school in September.
