I'm dropping my new jeep off to get the front windows tinted at 10. I hate not having the windows tinted. I want to sing, and look at people driving like assholes, without them knowing!
One of my best friends is in town so we may have drinks later this evening. I need to work on some HOA stuff...our vice presidents HOA fee check bounced. Like, how does he not reach out to someone and ask about it? Now we have to send him an awkward letter. There is also a house with a camper that we need to send a letter to. Why can't people just follow the damn rules?
Then the normal cleaning and laundry.

I have a babysitter coming at 9:30 and then MH & I are going to the nutcracker market. This afternoon I’m getting a pedicure with some friends and then we’re going to day drink for one of their birthdays.

Morning. I’m at work. Should be leaving on time in a couple hours. Baseball game for this morning cancelled, so we have the whole day. This afternoon we need to do something fun with the boys since my mom is in town. Not sure what- maybe the park and out for ice cream. Other than that I’ll be pressure washing the back porch/screened in patio and doing some purging so I can see what my mom wants to take back with her. Probably just toys/play stuff so she can have at her house for when the kids visit.

Morning! Not much happening here. I’m going to put together two more of those canvas shelf cube things and a raised planter so I can attempt an herb garden.
There’s a new Brazilian place in town. We’ll do pick up for dinner but the menu changes daily and it’s a staff served buffet, so I can’t figure out what to get.

Morning. I went to a barre 3 class this morning and man am I out of shape. I’m probably going to be sore for a week. DH gets his second shot, I need to go to the garden center to buy a tree and then H has soccer at 2. Busy day.

The cleaning ladies are here so I'm walking to get out of their hair. So far so good. I was going to yell at the girls to pick up their shoes off the front porch when I realized they were the maids'. 😆 With my sized 10s I'm not used to looking at average sized feet as adults'.

We watched The Greatest Showman (Disney+). I started it months back and the girls wouldn't stop bitching so I turned it off. I decided to start it again and not GAF if they liked it. They were quickly enamored with it. They restarted it as soon as it ended and have been singing and listening to the songs. It was really good and I liked the music.
Afterward I told them since they like musicals they might like Newsies. Man is that a giant cheesy affair. I snickered at Christian Bale and how embarrassed of it he is.

Hi ladies. Today was a lovely day. I had a hairdressers appointment, i was alone at the salon, which was nice. Afterwards I picked up dd2 and went on to have lunch with a friend. She has her own practice with a huge conference room, it’s nice to be able to get together sans kids. Ds needed flowers to bring to school (every week a different kid brings them) so we to a stroll to the city after I got home, picked up some tapas & took a loooong detour and stopped by my inlaws for a backyard visit.
Baby girl was all riled up from all the interactions, but is currently sound asleep on my lap, little cutie.

Hi from the salon! First salon haircut since 9/19! Of course I scheduled it during J's baseball game by accident...so it was a cluster getting here. Our extra car has a low tire, so I borrowed a neighbors and mh took all 3 to the game during naptime(godspeed). I tried to reschedule but everyone is booking haircuts now, so would have been months. Otherwise up past midnight every night working on my stupid capstone, a draft is due tomorrow..3 more weeks, thank god.

Soccer was the cluster I imagined again this morning but I heard the little boys up at 6 and they didn’t bother me until 7:40 so that was a win. DD has practice in a bit then I have some friends coming for patio cocktails after the boys are in bed. DS’s team has won all their games so far so they may be in the finals tomorrow.

Well the cleaning ladies were a success. I still think the price was too much, but from now on they'll be coming every 2 weeks and it will be more reasonable. It's nice to have a clean house.

Hey! It’s been a crazy few days. I came up to STL to see my grandpa yesterday. He was diagnosed a week and a half ago with cancer and he passed about 2 hours after I got there yesterday. I’m so glad I was able to make it and say goodbye and give him one last hug and kiss. I will head back home tomorrow because I didn’t bring funeral clothes with me. Then we will come back for the funeral in a few days. It will be family only because of Covid.
He was 92, so he’s lived a good long life. But I can’t help but feel robbed of the last year of quality time with him because of Covid. 😞
