So, I realized my fitbit app is more intuitive than MFP in terms of tracking calories and output together, and I am hoping that this will help me stay accountable. I tracked my cals yesterday and the day before, and realized that I am eating about 3000 calories daily (and that's without going particularly nuts!). Even though my calories out daily is around that as well, not at all enough. I'm happy to be able to actually see what's going on, at least today. I am aiming for 2000 per day, which might be challenging! I kind of can't believe I spent years starving myself on 1200 cals or less daily and was able to do it.

I had a 5k this morning. I felt strong and ready. I felt like i was running my best 5k. I finished 5th for my age group of women, 15th overall female and 37th of entire race. FULL DISCLOSURE it was a small race, lol and it wasn't my best 5k - i missed it by like 17 seconds, insert face palm emoji.
I'm taking the 5th for my age group and keeping on. Happy Easter everyone!

Hello again! I disappeared from this thread for most of March after I was sidelined by bursitis in my right hip. Spent a few weeks sulking (resting) and stretching, without much improvement. Hung out with my friend yesterday who is a PT and she did some kind of voodoo magic called ācounter strainā on me and it feels 100% better now.
She recommended core work and hip strengthening to prevent reoccurring problems, so those are my new goals for the month, along with getting back the running speed and endurance Iāve lost.
In more positive news, with all the stretching Iāve been doing, Iām on my longest Peloton streak yet (32 days and counting)!

I also love Wilpers lunarscallion. I like that heās a straightforward coach, and not so much of an entertainer. Iām in the mood for that sometimes. Congrats RunsforWineandCarbs! Thatās awesome!

Happy Easter to those who celebrate!
Iām short on time today, with egg hunts and baskets and cooking and all of that, but I fit in a 10 minute warmup run with RK and a 30 minute boot camp with Adrian. The boot camp was great - hard but straightforward and doable. I got 3 miles total and that will be it for today.

I really like Wilpers, too. I really dislike his music choices so I'll often skip his runs for that reason, but when I want a good technical run, he's definitely my choice.

I just saw a sports doctor and was diagnosed with hip bursitis and IT band issues. I have an icing and stretching regimen to follow, and I may end up getting a cortisone shot. I would love to know more about this counter strain magic!

I have never done a ride by Wilpers. I think because everyone says heās technical and not an entertainer lol. I need the distraction of the talking most of the time. Hence why Jess and Cody are my faves lol.
I havenāt taken a class from Wilpers, the new guy or Jenn. I avoid Hannah C because she really annoys me.

I also love Wilpers. He is very technical but he's also chatty and fun. I feel like he strikes a nice balance. And I find him laughing at his own jokes and stories endearing.
I did Adrian's 20 minute trap run and kept it easy for 2 miles. I had planned to do yoga too, but we're going to take the kids to our local state park to walk the camp loops after they all wake from naps. All three are taking naps AT THE SAME TIME and it's like some kind of miracle voodoo magic. I got to drink a hot cup of coffee, watch an episode or house hunters, food prep, and put together a lesson for tomorrow. Amazing! But yes, we'll walk a couple miles this afternoon too.

I would love to know more about this counter strain magic! I was referred to a regular PT by my doctor too, but my friend does this specialized type that basically seems to work miracles? She lay me on my back and somehow moved the cartilage and tendons around in my hip so they arenāt stressing that part of the joint/bursa anymore. Itās crazy how much better it feels - Iāve been having trouble sleeping for weeks because of the lingering pain but it didnāt bother me at all last night! Sadly itās not a forever fix, so I still need to work on strengthening my core and hips so everything doesnāt move back when I start running more.

Another Wilpers fan here (although I just do runs, no cycling). Heās so soothing and very knowledgeable about distance running, and I love his extra long warm ups. The more intense running instructors (like Olivia or Jess Sims) can be a bit much for me, I like his laid back approach.

I havenāt caught up yet, and I apparently posted in the March thread on April 1st š¤¦āāļø
March goals: March went ok overall.
April goals: Continue physical therapy, foam rolling, meditating, and self care. I think Iām going to make a goal to meditate a minimum of 3 days a week - Iām to the point where I usually meditate every day, so thatās a goal I should be able to meet.

Today is my rest day, but Iāve meditated, foam rolled, and used my light lamp - my psych team just had me start a trial of light therapy.

I didn't finish yesterday's strength work so I tacked that on to today's stack (which is really tomorrow on the HCOTF calendar). It made for a looooong morning, but it was fun and I had the time so I'm glad I pushed through. Plus recovery day tomorrow so yay.
I'm making a carnitas & elote stew for dinner, and I can't wait to eat.
7.5 mile run 10 min core with AT 10 min barre with HC 10 min A&S with LH 20 min G&L with AS 20 min C&B with Adrian

Andy's glutes & legs class on the HCOTF calendar for tomorrow is a really great class for runners, FYI. He was pretty obnoxious throughout, but I'll give him a pass because the programming was so good. š
