i need to remember that strength makes me ravenous. i have already eaten my protein bar, granola bar and hummus with pita chips. it's only 9 am. Yes! So hungry! Yesterday I made a pizza for lunch, but the kids decided they don’t like pizza anymore and I ate the whole thing before I knew what happened 😳 😆

Well hell. Intermediate 1 still has speed work, wasn't supposed to. It's much shorter distances though, so I think I can manage it outside. Are you trying to do the same program without having a period to adapt?

Well hell. Intermediate 1 still has speed work, wasn't supposed to. It's much shorter distances though, so I think I can manage it outside. Are you trying to do the same program without having a period to adapt? No, stepping back from Advanced to Intermediate. I didn't think Intermediate 1 had any speed work, but it does, just lesser volume. It's also starting me back at slower speeds, which will be good for a while to adapt outside.

I did a 45 minute bike bootcamp with Cody this morning. Very fun. Then stretching and a walk to work. I’m planning on ordering dinner tonight, but I’m not sure what yet.

(I’ll have one ready to pull up if I end up in a crowded area for some reason.) budders, for your race, will it be masked at the start and then you can remove on the course? I just saw a new race pop up with those guidelines and it sounds so nice.

Has anyone done the pre-release of 9 Week Control Freak on BOD? A lot of people are doing it in a BOD hybrids group from FB, but I've never been a big Autumn fan. Just curious what people thought of it.

Happy Hump Day!
I did Andy’s 30 min Bodyweight Strength (4/27) and he was extra-Andy with his rambling about ospreys and seagulls and Robin Hood but it was a good workout, especially that 6 min EMOM at the end. I added on Cody’s 5 min Core from back in 2019 and it was all plank. 💀 I finished with Adrian’s 10 min Full Body Stretch.

I'm still at school, but a few weeks ago my VP gave me the thumbs up to run during my prep periods if I wanted to, so I just went out for a run. It was my first outdoor run while neither pregnant or pushing a 100+lbs stroller since December 2019! Overall I'm happy with my performance, though I do have a lot of work to do now that I know where my base stands. I'm kicking myself for not doing a lap around the parking lot to round up my mileage, but it started to rain, so it's all good. I'll do strength when I get home. I can do a longer one too now that my run is out of the way. Going to just stay in my workout clothes. My 8th period kids will get to hang out with stinky, sweaty me. Sorry kids.

cnf you're not failing, you're surviving, and it sucks! I hope you get some relief soon (and running on your prep seems like a GREAT plan!) Rusty Red, I want you to know that even at your slow, outdoor pace, you're still faster than me, and I've been running outside since always. I hope you are feeling like your exercise relieves your anxiety, and doesn't add to it.

Pretty easy day for me today - walked with a friend this morning, and then biked DD to school, which means picking her up by bike as well. It's going to be warm here today, so we'll also go to the pool this evening.
Food is up in the air - I made a batch of chili, but it's gone, so I'll rummage around for lunch, but we also don't have as much leftovers as I anticipated having for dinner (my kids have been STARVING!) so who knows!

It's getting too warm out for my dog (German Shepherd/Golden Retriever) and I basically dragged him behind me for the duration of our trail run last night. I end up frustrated and don't enjoy it as much as I would like. My mom joked that at least it was resistance training. Today we walked to school (1.4m for me since I turn around and walk back home). I've fallen off the HCOTF calendar a bit and need to pick it back up.
AM Snack: Dried mango Breakfast: Yogurt w granola Lunch: Big salad, much veggies Dinner: Fajita veggies, rotisserie chicken, beans

15 minute arms & shoulders with Matty and a 15 minute 1960s ride with Hannah. Lots of rolling hills on the ride.
I need to do core and stretch at some point today but unfortunately I have several conference calls this afternoon. Need to fit them in tonight. I really want to try one of the outdoor walks. I book marked a couple to try out next week.

30 minute 80's ride with Kendall (great playlist but hard to relate to her when she wasn't even born until the next decade!) 20 minute 2000's rock ride with Sam
Both were good! I want to try to get in core later but if I'm being honest I probably won't. I am just so so tired. This time of the year is absolutely exhausting. We have 4 weeks of school left and it's about 3 too many. We are all done. DONE.

Good afternoon!
I did the 20 min full body with Robin from HCOTF, 10 min core with Andy, skipped the HIIT b/c I hate those lol, and did a 30 min 90s ride with Jess King. I really enjoyed the ride. The latter half of it was like a mini Sweat Steady apparently, which I haven't tried yet.
B - another savory cottage cheese bowl (Skinnytaste) L - leftover meatballs on a low carb wrap + salad D - foil packet white fish with watermelon salsa (Skinnytaste) S - ?
H is going to test drive a boat we are interested in buying tonight. I am cautiously excited. I am just staying home with DS because I want H to be able to concentrate and ask all the questions he wants to ask without DS excitedly running all over the place and me trying to keep him from jumping in the lake, lol. Kind of bummed I'm missing out on a boat ride on an 80 degree day, but if we end up making it ours, we can go out whenever we want!
