My husband bought me a massage gift card for Valentine's day that is still in a drawer because I can't use it with our opposing schedules. As soon as he's off work I'm scheduling myself a 90 minute hot stone massage.

I’ve only had enough time for 5ks and stretching for the last two days. I think I can get more in tomorrow though.
I am frustrated with MH right now. Invisible labor is real, and I am tired of being the taskmaster and nothing being done unless I explicitly ask multiple times.

cnf I’m glad to hear there’s an end in sight to your current situation. It seems like you’re putting a lot of pressure on yourself to have your diet really dialed in and your training super on point, while dealing with all the stress. Maybe try to release the diet and training stress until YH starts paternity leave. Not stop training full stop and eat like an asshole all the time, but give yourself some grace.

I just got done with leg day with my trainer. Woof my ass is going to be hurting after all the squats. I am happy I was able to do a full cardio and strength day today. I am going to do Tuesday/Thursday at the gym with him so on those days I’ll get full lunch hour cardio plus an hour of lifting in the evenings which excites me for the extra work I get to put in.

Long HCOTF arms stack today. 20 min chest and back with Adrian, 10 min arms and shoulders with Andy, 10 min light arms with Leanne, 10 min core with Matty, and a 10 min low impact ride with Dennis.

cnf not gonna lie I would be a blubbering mess on my kitchen floor. Sorry that happened. I feel you on the schedule. My H and I work opposite schedules—I work every weekend and he’s in academia. So we get some family time during the winter holidays and summer. But our families are all 1.5+ hours away one way. It’s not that far in reality, but it makes a night off with just my H impossible.

cnf I’m really sorry. I second perhaps getting a helper for evenings, at least some of them. Evenings are difficult, and I would be at my wits end caring for 3 kids by myself every night, no question. I promise, you’re doing an amazing job.

cnf You are not a shitty parent. The 2 hours before bed time are the worst and it sucks that due to the pandemic you're stuck doing it by yourself every night. I'm glad you are on the home stretch.

budders, girl, i have absolutely loved being here on your journey cheering you on. And damn, thank you for letting us cheer for you all the time; you are crushing your goals!! Keep it up! melohdy i really really want tuna casserole now. I'm sorry it's not sitting well. that's the worst. cnf, lady you are not a shitty parent. those feelings are normal and i hate them! i've been there. i will be there again once h starts traveling again. 3.5 weeks to go, keep breathing. just breath. you got this. I also agree with letting go of something to lighten the load for these 3.5 weeks.

Up again today early. I am trying to incorporate more than just running in order to reach my goals. I had a real self talk last night after realizing that i will always be in this alone. I can't expect support from h when it comes to diet and exercise so i just need to stop hoping for it. I also need to make it less complicated because we all know WHAT we have to do to reach our goals. So i am starting it today; not waiting for May 1st for new goals.
No running today but I will try to fit in a mile walk. 5 min upper body strength warm up with matty 4.2.21 20 min full body strength with robin 4.26.21 (i was really confused for a hot min as she is 8 months pregnant in this. realized it must have been pre-recorded. she still killed it at 8 months pregnant!) 10 min Britney Spears HIIT Cardio with matty 7.15.20. Cheer tonight.
Food B: kodiak granola bar / raspberries S: apple with peanut butter L: deli salad S: hummus with pita D: crockpot chicken and gravy over biscuits and side of steamed broccoli.

Pre-work:
30 minute low impact ride with Jenn Attempted 20 minute yoga flow with Ross (interrupted by dog, kids up early)
I told my eldest no waking up on weekdays before six am--I drag my butt out of bed early to work out because it's the only time the house is quiet, including the dog! Once the kids get up, all bets are off.
H ordered takeout last night and I ate some chicken and zucchini that had breading, so not exactly on the diet, but I think the salt content had more of an impact on this morning's bloating!

Morning! I had my second moderna shot yesterday and it’s wiped me out. I’m so tired and have been running a bit of a fever. I’m chugging some coffee now bc I have an important call at 9:30, but after that I’ll be napping all day. So it’s likely a total rest day for me.
Also, just wanted to say thank you for all the love and support yesterday ❤️ This is such an amazing group of women!

Morning. This morning I did: - 20 minute intervals run with Selena (easy run pace) - 10 minute abs with Andy - 20 minute full body strength with Robin - 5 minute lower body stretch with Ben
I’m feeling that full body workout already. Tomorrow should be interesting lol.

Had the same anxiety spike as the first vaccine, so I called off yesterday. Otherwise just a headache and general blah from it, but I worked out anyway. I have made a decision until I get the treadmill (WHOLE new update to that one, let's just summarize it by saying I'm back to square one waiting on a new shipment) that I'm going to drop back to an intermediate training plan with no speed work, just mileage. I just can't do speed work outside, I tried this morning and failed miserably. Once (or I should say IF) I get the new equipment, I will go back up to advanced and do my speed work on that, and maybe more of my base runs outside so I don't lose my outdoor conditioning so much again.

cnf, I read your post and nodded along. The fact that you even care about this means you are not a shitty mom. I have 100% had those moments when I am trying to keep everything together as a way to hold on to the last shred of sanity I have and then the stupid cabinet door breaks or something spills or falls or the dog pukes and I am DONE. And the hybrid model (necessary this year, of course) SUCKS in many ways. Anyway. I see you.

Rusty Red, I’m sorry for the anxiety and the treadmill delay. I think just focusing on mileage for now is a good plan. If you did want to incorporate some less focused speed work, I haven’t plugged the (free!) NRC app in a while, but it’s great for that. Lots of run options for time-based intervals, fartlek, etc at rate of perceived exertion as opposed to say, 6 x 800 at 8:00min/mi pace.
