I don't think I checked in yesterday. I ran a bunch of errands with MJ while the boys were at school. A has started on the attic again. Thank God. But that means no parenting help and I'm flat exhausted.

Today he's working on it again. I need to work out and shower. Then just hang with the kids. And clean house. My mil is watching the kids here tonight so we can play poker with my brother and sil.

Morning. Baby girl actually slept pretty decent last night (11-4-6, normally she also wakes around 2...). I made rocky road brownies with Dd, picked up photos with ds (stores are closed, but they have click and collect service) & Dd and I gave our babies a bath.
About to prep some snack plate dinner for the kids, put the tv on and call it a day...

Hi.
We made it to my mom’s last night. The weather is supposed to be nice today. We’re having a crawfish boil later and hopefully seeing my grandparents. They are fully vaccinated so I don’t have to have so much anxiety about seeing them.
Every time we come my grandma always wants to buy us a red velvet cake. It’s a place here that makes the most amazing ones. No other red velvet compares. I don’t always need one though, because cake. My mom waited until yesterday to tell her we were coming in hopes she wouldn’t have time to order one. An hour or so after my mom told her she called back and said... I ordered lahdeedah a cake. 😂😂😂 Now I have to eat cake all weekend because I have no self control.

Morning.
I’m sitting in a quiet hotel room in Banff enjoying the Rocky mountain views with hot coffee in silence.
Psych.
I’m in my chaotic house in suburban city sitting at my kitchen table with toast and lukewarm coffee, obvi dreaming about running away to the Rockies 😭
Apparently everyone’s hair needs cutting this weekend, we need to fix our tap in the ensuite, maybe go for a outside visit to my cousin’s place, clean up the yard a bit and I’m taking B to the mall as soon as it opens to get a couple spring coats since Costco was a bust yesterday.

Nothing exciting here. I'm at work and preparing for the chaotic shitshow that my weekend job normally is.
We watched Raya last night. I didn't realize you had to pay to see it (it's free in June) but I said eff it and gave them my money. I loved it. Really well done.

Morning. We are just hanging around the house today. I want to clean out/vacuum my van this afternoon. DH ran out to the store for a bit. It’s still really nice here, I’m going to be sad when it gets cold and snows again inevitably.

So remember how I told you guys we booked a house in CT for spring break week? Yeah, the AirBnB lady cancelled it this morning. My friends and I are in a tailspin trying to find somewhere else big enough for 3 families in an area we don't have to quarantine from/to. I am pissed. The house was PERFECT and in the perfect location and everything.

Just doing homework. L is in his room cleaning and studying his spelling words, sight words and memory verse.
E is playing in her room watching bugs life. I know L is really wanting to watch Raya and if he had been behaving I might have bought it. But now we will be waiting until June.
I’m also grocery shopping and trying to decide what’s for lunch.

We had to take the kitty to the vet his morning. He’s been lethargic and snotty. They have him a dose of antibiotics and some sub q fluids, so I’m hopeful he’ll bounce back to normal soon.
Josie is taking an afternoon soak in the tub and mh and C are playing Mario Odyssey.
Pizza for dinner here and I may look through Charlie’s pajama drawers and get rid of anything that won’t fit next winter.

She is either going to be the easiest teenager(because I've had years of practice with her bullshit) or the worst. I'm envisioning slamming doors, silent treatments, etc. 😱😱 She and M (my older one) are the same. Although C also acts like it's going to kill her to pick up behind herself. M went mental last night because she had a HW packet to work on that had a WHOLE PAGE of cursive.  She previously wanted to learn cursive and I got her a workbook last spring but now it's like 1 page that should take 5 minutes will literally do her in. Slamming doors happens over here. The drama is something. At least she can usually come down of the ledge after some time alone and apologize for her BS. |
