Dd still had the sniffles and was very sad not to be able to go to school, so I made sure she had the best morning ever. We watched calicoes critters on tv, made mini pancakes, had a tea party, read stories, let her mess around with the pancake dishes in the sink (witches soup she calls it 😉) & I painted her face, we had a lovely morning!

Maybe I’ll have something to post later that made me feel good today... I won’t let you down nam2013.

For now...

1. This is like the 5th day in the last month that I totally forget to put mascara on when I go to work. I do my concealer and eyebrows, then completely forget about mascara until after I’m at work. Oh well, I try.

2. Today M’s school is doing a VIP day with a walk down the blue carpet (they have random special days for being a blue ribbon school this year) and encouraged the kids to be camera ready- meaning dress up. Of course M was pissed I made him wear jeans and a button down. Pissed. This kid man. He was an emotional wreck last night and always so damn grumpy about everything.

@lahdeehdah no worries! I was looking for a cute alliteration for Friday and found this one! Plus I’m trying to stay positive myself and am trying to remind myself of all the good things that are still happening, I’ve been meeting myself feel down way too easy lately...

Morning! I just had my first night away from L! My parents took the kids over night and Dh and I went to dinner. I planned to sleep in a bit but was up at 7. Now I’m about to head to pick them up, picking up coffee and a bagel on the way. Our children’s museum is open again on a reservation system, so I reserved time for that this morning since N is off school today.

She did well dropping her off. She got a little nervous but my mom distracted her and she had fun. L slept until 7:30! He’s still nursing so I’ll be curious how he acts when I get there.

And random, but I hear a bird chirping and the sun is shining so I had hopes it was a nice day. Just looked at the temp.... -17, feels like -31. Go home bird.

C only has a half day so I'm sending the big two to the grandparents while A naps. Planning on putting the new To All the Boys movie on while cleaning and folding laundry!

B is still home, and S is doing school from home today. His BFF's dad is having surgery today and even though we are supposed to be quarantining, he is here for school b/c we are the only family in each others' bubble. She figured since we tested negative it would be ok. So now I have 2 kids doing gym class and it's adorable. The teacher is having them pretend to play in the snow, so snowball fights, snow angels, etc. Perfect day for them both to be here.

Work made me quarantine since MH went to AL for the funeral.  They told me on the 5th day I could do a rapid test and if it was negative I could come back to the office.

Morning. V got her first tooth the other day...and she’s already biting down when nursing and damn that hurts. She’s pretty snotty so I’m sure that doesn’t help her but it has got to stop. Last night there was a bad accident on my route home about an hour and a half before I had to leave work. I went that way and it was still blocked off so I had to take a detour. H has her vday party at school today, both kids have Monday and Tuesday off.

[mention]trtlcrzy [/mention]poor thing and poor you! I forgot how old V is exactly, but our kids liked to gnaw on a piece of cooled watermelon or cucumber when they were teething. I’d cut them in to finger size chunks and leave the rind on & just keep them in the fridge.

J is usually my sleep in kid and yelling at me to 'leave her alone' in the AM but this morning she hopped out of bed at 7.08am and stated she need to change into red and pink RIGHT NOW since its a Valentine's party day at daycare, she declared she's 'so esssssited'. I bought treats for everyone at the daycare, so I hope they are able to make a fun party!

As for my good feeling Friday, it is -21C (feels like -31C with the wind) but THAT means that we're 10 degrees warmer. Get outta here effing Artic air, no one wants you!

She’s 7 months. Thanks for the idea, I’ll keep it in mind because we don’t have either of those things in the house right now.

I have a 15 minute phone call about a potential job this afternoon?

Other than that, I have nothing. I'm looking at jobs with pretty major pay cuts. Not quite half what I make, but damn close to it. I hate this.

Dh just called to tell me SIL had her baby overnight and now I’m feeling weird. I should be excited and happy but I think the reality of me not having anymore babies hit me. And on top of that, her name is... going to take some getting used to. (ai.li pronounced eye-lee) PDQ I’ll poof name.

slenle I know what you mean, being around my sister's baby there's that little tiny feeling of "Hmmm..." I know we're done with 2 and honestly that is probably all i can handle, so I need to go hang out with my niece when she's screaming or something to 'cure' myself, ha!

Hi.

Something that made me feel good...taking pots of tulips to C's teachers and the director and admin at the preschool Also, I ordered a steam mop...happy Valentines Day to me. #adulting

I did errands this morning while C was in school; she had her Valentine's party and is sorting thru all her treats now. It was also picture-day so we had a battle royale getting ready for school this a.m.

B is also having a class party/card exchange today. This afternoon we're going to make Valentines cookies for some of our neighbors, and I'm planning spaghetti for dinner. It's supposed to start raining so hopefully that will keep the kids occupied!

We're doing a Galentines Day Sunday morning. My friend is making this.

It’s been slow at work so I sort of meal planned for next week. It won’t get above 40 until next Friday. 🥶 I can say this will be the coldest week of my life. Mother Nature is giving me a practice run for what my next winter will be like.

I’m also printing off tracing worksheets for M2 since he will be home next week and we will be house bound. I may need to make a target run for some dollar spot crafts for him, too.
