I forget to lock my car and that’s how I’m going to die. But I lock my doors even when I’m home because I’ve seen too many true crime things. I'm the worst at locking the truck up. H has threatened to take my garage door opener because of it. Also a concern. Are you giving access to your home?

I lock my house when I’m in it. I also don’t ever post on social media if my H is home or not, he works out of town for weeks at a time.

I never lock my car. I'd rather have somebody open the door and find nothing of value than to smash my windows I took that to mean when she was in the car. But also someone is going to be in your backseat. Please check before getting in. Thanks. Oh yes of course I check the backseat

I accidentally got a dog that sounds like a 80 lb dog behind a closed door but he’s really just 14 lbs. It’s a pain in the ass because he’s so damn loud but I’m pretty sure it would be a large deterrent to dealing with my house. It is funny when he’s barking his head off and I open the door and the person is like “oh”. If someone was trying to fuck with me he’d definitely bite them but...he’s got 10 teeth so it’s the barking that would be more painful to them.
In terms of break ins, living on a cut through street has been helpful to us. There’s a lot of activity throughout the day and it means that (knock on wood) car break ins and package thefts are much more common around the corner and on less trafficked streets in my neighborhood. Seems counter intuitive but it’s been our experience. The one and only time we’ve had an almost package theft it was a 35 lb weight MH ordered and the person gave up. Lol.

I’m very unevolved. You seeing me on the street calling me a bitch I’ll say fuck you and drive on by. You Iny house doing work I commissioned wouldn’t fly at all. For me. If they didn’t own the company I would be escalating that shit. I’m growing and working on me but in the interim hell fucking no. I wasn't saying that any individual woman and her reaction to being called a bitch meant anything about your evolution. I'm just talking about these idiots who are calling her a bitch. Anyway you can and should feel however you want. I do wish we had more information because it seems super unprofessional to just say that shit, so I wish I knew what lead up to it. My curiosity of why they would say that specifically, i.e., what did they do that they think I'm not going to like? I would be the bitch to pop around the corner and ask "what am I going to say about what?" Then go from there. For me bitch isn't so much the issue but more that they think something happened that I'm going to react to.

I don’t have a bat under my bed. Is this a fffc? Me, neither. And our front and back doors are usually unlocked. leaving your doors unlocked is just silly and asking for trouble. Also go watch Night Stalker in netflix and you may change your mind on leaving anything unlocked

Rusty Red on the same page, I have so few pics of me pregnant (maybe two each time, and the mirror belly pics) and I'm mad about it. And now that the kids are here, it's the same. My H just won't take pictures. I've asked him so many times to please snap photos of me with my kids. Esp when we're doing things together. And it never happens. It's a point of resentment I bring up often. I am constantly taking pics of them all together, that he will cherish when our children are older and out of the house. I will have a few awkward selfies that I had to take myself. This reminds me to talk to him about it again. This is why I really want to buy a quality camera. I started doing my kid’s pics annually because we couldn’t afford professional ones. But now, it’s something that I cherish. I have maybe fifteen pictures of myself from childhood, and none before the age of 4. Idk what I looked like as a baby, I just take what people tell me. I was in foster care and almost adopted, so that part of my life is a mystery. I love that my kids have so many pieces of themselves.

I don't understand unlocked doors, nor do I understand open garage doors. Our neighbors have their garage door open like 80% of the day, and their garage is so full of shit. Are they not worried about someone coming and helping themselves?
I have a nightly routine that includes checking all locks, the basement light, and the outside garage. It takes about 10 seconds, and allows me to sleep.

I'm the worst at locking the truck up. H has threatened to take my garage door opener because of it. Also a concern. Are you giving access to your home? I've been doing better. It was mostly when we sold my other truck and got this one because it's manual locks and I would forget to lock the passenger side. It was purely unintentional and only happened if R was with me because it's the half doors for the back doors thing so he has to open both to get out. I'm working on having him lock the doors for me.

sorry got tied up, on the phone, not by the yahoos downstairs.
Really no more back story. I am pretty involved in this project and I had gone down there to check in. They had done something that was different then we had discussed. And I was not happy about it. Things have been a little stressful and maybe I was snippy. I am one to say what I mean and mean what I say. I am in the deep south where bless your heart is pretty prevalent, and I am not that person. Although I consider myself kind and compassionate I do not mince words. Some people do not think you can be both, Kind and direct.
Yeah and like several have said this bitch's check cashes.

I confessed before that i (& the kids but for now, I) inherited several guns when my dad died. I don't gun, I mean TETO but they just make me nervous so I don't. I do have bullets for the one small handgun, but I would 100% use my bat on an intruder as my go-to saving device. Once I got him/her down with that I may remember theres a gun in the safe lol When my grandpa was sick (alzhiemers) I remember asking my grandma if I could borrow his shot gun to go hunting with H (I didn't have one at the time because my parents never taught me shit about shooting a gun, that was all H) and when she got the safe opened up he had something like 16 guns in there in total. As all the kids (my mom and her siblings and all the spouses) got talking, each one knew about 1 or 2 guns and nobody knew about the same 2 guns. It was half comical and half scary. But he used to do a lot of work for people around town and sometimes they would pay him with a shotgun or whatever. Eventually my grandma numbered each of the guns and had each kid draw numbers until they were split between them all. I'm still bitter that my cousin had borrowed one of the guns (the one I had borrowed before and loved) and just never returned it so my grandma said he could just have it. It's been like 7 or 8 years now. But I'm still bitter. Dhs father had a giant firearm collection. Lawyer in small town he often got paid with heres a gun.

When I was about 8, in the village, my uncles brother walked in the house drunk and tried to come into the room My same aged cousin and I were sleeping in, my cousin knew to lock the door before we went to bed. That began my door locking obsession.

We are loose on locking doors during the day if we are home but everything is locked at night. Our house would be hella easy to break into though. Just a lot of entry points and windows. I used to only be comfortable living in high rise secure buildings but I’ve gotten over it. The aforementioned dog helps.

It wouldn't take much to get in, if I'm honest. Even with them locked.

Hey I know this isn’t a confession but since everyone is here I need cooking advice.
I was going to grill burgers but it’s too cold, so I’m doing skillet for first time, do I put oil in pan like I would a steak?

Speaking of dog doors that’s how I used to get into my house when I was a teenager and left my keys in the house.

Non stick pan, of course.

I joined a Buy Nothing facebook group, and it's just what my wasteful ass needed. I was very prone to just throwing shit out, but now I can snap a picture and post it and it's gone within the day. I am looking forward to listing 85% of the crap in my garage in the spring. I love my local buy nothing group. I have never taken anything anyone is offering but have given so much away. The joy people have when they get something they really want fills me up. H now gives me things and says “how fast can you get rid of this?” And gets tickled when I report back on how many people wanted the thing. I gave away a pair of new boots that had been sent accidentally in an order and the store didn’t want back on my Buy Nothing Group a few weeks ago. 65 people requested them. I guess my confessions are two fold: 1) I could have sold those babies for at least $50, but was too lazy 2) I felt drunk with power when choosing the recipient. It was a total rush. 🤣 My BNG is hyper-local and a great way to get to know people. It’s such a nice group!
