My dad is not nearly as quiet as my husband in the mornings... so its 4 am and I'm up. I went to bed at midnight because my mom stays up that late watching TV. I'm going home tonight....

I'm awake. Sorry you got so little sleep peachsmama. Your body needs to heal, hopefully you can get a nap in today before going home.

I need to keep a notebook by my bed to write the shit down that keeps me awake. Im hoping it would help me fall back to sleep faster.
Rough night of sleep in my house.

Morning, my kids are already driving me nuts. They woke up full of energy and ready to fight with each other.

I’m getting ready to start a fun day of giving online quarterly tests. I hope I don’t fall asleep.

Hope the kids let you rest today, @peach! How do you feel? mwhip, One of my old colleagues told me if she was filled with anxiety at night, she would visualize a shelf in her room and visualize putting her worry in a box and storing it up on the shelf. I thought it was really silly, but I find myself doing it sometimes and it works.

Morning. Ds had a little meltdown this morning about an eurythmy assignment. On the one hand I thought ‘whatever then don’t do it’ on the other hand I do no want to give him the feeling that math/spelling is more important than arts or eurythmics and I do not want him to get the idea that school is avoidable if he gets angry enabling it, so I invited my old friend bribery to the table 🙄... The kids went to my parents after ‘school’. Baby girl had to get her belly button (we saw a little blood coming out) checked and was not happy about it. Luckily it’s nothing an at her well check in 4 weeks they’ll check it again. I’m on the couch with an overstimulated and tired baby and I’m sooooo hungry but do not want to wake her up. Ah worlds biggest problem. The stew I made this morning and is filling up the house with a great smell isn’t helping .

But then I slept 6-8 when my mom woke up.

Morning! SSDD over here, working with my part-time office mate. He's going back next week MTThF with half day Wednesdays from home, just to toss in yet another schedule for then to try out. I would feel a whole lot more optimistic about it all if I thought the teachers and staff were getting vaccinated soon but it sounds like it's going to take some time to clean up after such a disastrous non-effort at national distribution. I got so teared up and then angry this morning listening to a segment on NPR remembering a victim who was a mother and grandmother. It didn't have to be like this, we should not have lost this many Americans.
Anyhow I DID have a funny wildlife run in this morning with what I assumed was a large deer. After I finally ushered it off the trail and it GROWLED at me, I didn't waste anytime trying to identify it. Haha.

Happy Friday!! Waiting In line at preschool drop off. It’s super cold and I’ve never been so grateful for seat warmers. Then we’ll head to Ls 15 month well check and I’m dreading all the shots Then tonight we have a sitter coming and actually get to have a date night! I can’t even tell you the last time Dh and I went to dinner alone. Looking forward to good wine and seafood.

Happy Friday everyone. This has been one of the longest weeks ever. So ready for the weekend.
Yesterday was crazy at work with added assignments that came in so I didn't get to complete what I intended to work on. I hope today is quieter.

TGIF! I'm at the office hoping it's a bit quieter than it was yesterday. I was putting out one fire after another it seemed. Tonight my friend and I are going to dinner. Trying to find a patio that's covered in case it rains.

But then I slept 6-8 when my mom woke up. If you are still struggling with the gas try putting a firm pillow (or a foam roller if you have one) on the floor and lay on your stomach. Make sure it’s low enough down on your stomach to not hit your chest. This and then some side to side toe touches after can help break up the bubbles and move them along.

The rumblings in my stomach has stopped. Still some gas but not painful like middle of the night. But ill remember that if it happens again tonight.

TGIF! I've been distracted with the news all week, sorry(not sorry) for all the instagram spam this week.. I am so glad my work closed Wednesday, was nice to not have to pretend to work. My new work laptop should arrive today, so that is exciting to have a battery that lasts more than an hour and doesn't turn off multiple times randomly.
J tried to sleep in our bed last night, good gracious he is so big, pretty sure neither of us slept.

I’m jealous of you all going out to dinner. Especially the warm weather people. We are still take out only and probably will be through the winter at least. We have had a few restaurant outbreaks recently. I should order a nice dinner sometime though and have a home date night.
I’ve been at meetings and on the phone all morning. Why do time sensitive things always happen on Fridays? Where were you Tuesday when I literally read a book all day?!

I'm glad the surgery went well peachsmama, so exciting! Sorry for the work stress mwhip, we're living the same life right now, I wake up and come up with some pretty silly plans about work, nothing makes sense at 2.23am.

Hi all, just coming up for air. The last week has been bananas. Work is going crazy, we're stuck between a media/political shitstorm right now and it is distracting and exhausting. To boot, sleep has been shit and I've been having lots of trouble with B's sleeping, I THINK (everyone please cross your fingers) that we are turning a corner. But my goodness, we might as well have a newborn in the house. To add into all of that we found an RV unit, made the deal and I went in to sign for it all on Wednesday! It felt good to sign for that much of a loan on my own, yay to having a good credit score

I don't have any desire to go anywhere right now since we are sooo close with vaccinations. I'd be pretty grouchy to get it now after all this time.

Met out at the new office building this morning to do a walk through. It's a nice space, good views. My office will have a view of a little gazebo, once we get a new receptionist and I can actually use my office, that is. I believe we'll be at our current space for just a few more weeks.
ETA: and there's a library in the same driveway! go right to our office, or left to the library

Yeah add me to the jealous camp. I haven't indoor dined since last March. And the last time MH and I went out was Valentines Day! No, I take that back. For my birthday in September when both kids were in school/remote program out of the house, we had lunch outside together. But no sitters and nights out for us, and probably not till the vaccinations get sorted out.

Morning.
Work is steady today, but not bad. It’s my weekend here, so this is day 4 out of an 11 day stretch. I miss sleeping in already.
Nothing exciting here. I also miss dining out. I will only do so if it’s above 70 and sunny out. Outside of course. We’re getting takeout tonight, but I don’t know what yet. I’m over the restaurants close to my house. I need more variety.

L did pretty good with his shots. Screamed for a few minutes, but then walked out of the clinic like he owned the place. They sent in a referral for a hearing test since he is at the bare minimum for words. Hopefully it’s nothing and he just needs time.

I miss dining out too. And having kids in school. Admittedly I will miss them when they return to the classroom, but they need it. I miss rollerskating. My kids are getting super weird about leaving the house now. They never want to go out. There will be an adjustment phase when things get back to normal.

I think take out stinks by us, so we don’t do it often, either.
