I made MH install the corner curtain rod in our bedroom so I could hang the curtains I got for Christmas. Then H had his first swimming lesson. He had so much fun and didn’t want to leave. I was impressed at how much he could actually do without his floaties on. After lunch MH cut the wood I bought for shelves. I was able to install the ones in the hall closet but the ones for the laundry room will have to wait until tomorrow or Monday. It’s sad when you get this excited about shelves. Lol. I just changed a ballast in my flourescent kitchen light fixture and now I feel handy AF. I’m a YouTube scholar electrician. 🤣

Cadence just paid me $30 to buy her a kindi kids doctor and ambulance. I found them on Amazon for 50, so I figure 30 is good enough.

Mil came and watched the kids for us today. We got A fitted for his suit for bils wedding. And I had gift cards to spend from Christmas. Tomorrow I have my pre-op covid test and physical and A told me to hit up target solo to use my other gift cards since we didn't make it there today.

Did a target run drive up order for bread supplies that I ordered a couple of days ago. Meal planned and placed the grocery order. Dinner is done and kids are eating and I’m doing more homework. Which dress do you ladies like better (I’m wearing it to Walt Disney world in October). I’m leading towards the first one.

chrisy01 first one just because it has straps. The last thing you want to be bothered with at Disney is pulling a top up constantly.

chrisy01 no1 for sure! White on the bottom will get dirty and I would not wear a strapless dress in a theme park, that seems like an accident waiting to happen .

The boys had their weekly sleepover last night and made it until almost 5 before Chase got loud and chatty. I reminded them to go back to sleep and then gave a final warning about 15 minutes later. I heard them in the hall shortly after and assumed Col was taking Chase to the bathroom, and then it got quiet. When I got up to run, I noticed that both of their nightlights were on - Colin took it on himself to call it a night when Chase couldn't calm down. He's so funny.
Not much planned today. It's cool but sunny out so I will try to get everyone out for a bit. DH, Colin and I have tomorrow off (the Calgary is in so I'll for sure be checking in) so we're trying to come up with something fun and covid-friendly to do. So far we have a movie and a hike planned.

tgrimes I'm excited about the new ceiling fan we are putting up today, so I get it. Our fan in our basement living area, the light won't turn on and we've been wanting to replace it since it isn't very bright. Then we are going to go through our inflatables and see what we need to do to them in the off season to keep them in good shape. And football, of course! Go Chiefs!

Lazy day here. I finally worked out and I'm going to shower. We have some alfalfa pellets that I erroneously bought for the rats before I realized they don't eat them and I think we'll go feed ducks. You can use alfalfa pellets as fertilizer for some of your plants too, if you need another use for them.

Hey, I’m at work again. Did I tell you guys that we got the gate up last night? Now I feel a little better about V army crawling around. I’m planning to take a nap when I get home and then we are going to the ILs house for supper to celebrate my bday. She didn’t ask me what I wanted to eat so it’s a mystery as to what we will get. My money is on a roast or something of that nature. Not my favorite but that’s fine.

nam2013 turn the news off. I can't remember the last time I watched the news in its entirety. Between covid and all the political bullshit, I just check weather on my phone. Pretty sure I've seen every episode of Law & Order SVU by avoiding the news for the past year. I'm here. I opened a news page this a.m., read headlines for 5 sec, and was like, "Nope!" Back to sports and home decor blogs I go

Also, good morning. Er, afternoon.
Lazy morning here. Both kids slept in this morning--I think they were worn out from yesterday. B had his first basketball game; this is the first year they're playing full-court. He got fouled and made both his free throws so he was happy, and I caught that on video to send mH. They played outside in the freezing cold the rest of the day and last night we met my parents for dinner. Unrelated: I started watching Un Village Francais on Prime this past week and am hooked; it's a French production, the story of a fictional village in WWII under the German occupation. Lots of different storylines, compelling characters. If you're a Francophile and/or history buff I highly recommend it! It does have English subtitles. nam2013 lots of seasons to binge if you want to turn off the news

flamingo seriously I cannot focus on anything at the moment... friends, Gilmore girls and soppy movies are about it. I’ll remember it for when I’m in a better state.

I have not been able to stop feeling crappy and overwhelmed. It did not help that we got news that schools won’t open for at least another 4 weeks & that school send out an email what they expect from us at home.
I have no idea how you girls are doing this for the better part of a year now if I can’t even manage for 5 weeks...

They don’t have newborns at home and everyone’s is set up differently. I struggled with feeling like a failure because I needed to send C to school for our sanity. I let go of that guilt because it is what’s best for MY family. Everyone is different and has different struggles. You will get through this!

My dad is going to take C golfing today. He misses him so much. This will be the first time they have really had time together since October. After that I’ll pick C up at my parents and chat outside for a bit. While C is gone I committed Dh to take a long walk with me.

Well I had no luck at target for clothes. But I found a new purse and wallet. I've had my current one for 1.5 years and I wanted something new. I got a small one last time so I could carry it and the diaper bag easily. But now that MJ is older I wanted a slightly bigger one so I can throw a diaper and wipes in it and not have to take the diaper bag in some places.

I’m currently making L clean his own room by himself. He got a little crazy the last few weeks with how messy it got. He’s already found two things he misplaced in the last week.

I cut a good 2-3 inches off of Cadence's hair today. I also ordered some silk pillowcases for her. Trying everything possible to rid our lives of tangles!
