I can see two bottom teeth coming, still below the gums! At least I know there's a reason she's been up 5-6 times the last 2 nights.😴 Wow! I may have missed it but how old is your baby? Hopefully it's not too many more nights like that 🤞

C is so long, she's outgrowing 9 month sleepers 😯
I ordered some 9 month size clothes from h&m in December and they took forever to arrive, and now I think they look too small lol. I should have known better.

mintyblueair she was 4 months on the 8th. And that is long! H is consistently 98/99th percentile for height and she's only in 6 month.

So C woke up with a poopy diaper this morning for the first time in forever. My husband took care of it because he got up with her but later on I noticed that there's an area on her inner labia that's raw, it was actually bleeding a tiny bit. And she has a red bumpy rash in the whole general area. I put Vaseline all over the place for tonight just in case she poops again but what should I do tomorrow? Vaseline? A zinc-based cream? Or nothing and let her air out?
You'd think with her being my 3rd I'd know a thing or two but I don't remember my older two ever having a diaper rash.

Anyone else having 4 month sleep probs? 😴
My great sleeper that only woke once maybe twice a night has been up every 1.5 to 2 hours the last 2 nights. And this morning we've been up for the most part since 4:30. I'm hoping this doesn't last too long 😴😴

I'm dying. like I said earlier I wasn't sure if it was teeth related but even though I can see those teeth under there they don't seem to be doing anything. Now I'm thinking sleep regression.

Now it's been weeks of waking every 1-2 HOURS the WHOLE NIGHT. He literally woke every single hour last night. I'm dying.

After another brutal night I'm attempting to put the baby in his crib in his the nursery instead of the bassinet in our room. He's a light sleeper and our tossing and turning or getting up to use the bathroom, or deal with DD1's MOTN escapades, seems to wake him.
That said, he just woke up screaming after only a few minutes after my first attempt to lay him down in the crib. So this may very well backfire.

We have yet to try him overnight in the crib. We bought a Lulyboo travel bassinet for camping that he loves and whenever H sleeps elsewhere I put it in bed with me and he sleeps there. I stuffed it into the Halo but that doesn't seem to have the same effect. But even so, he just sucks at sleeping. Super sucks.

My first was the worst. I didn't even notice the 4 month regression with her because she was up every hour from birth. Didn't sleep through the night until 2.5. She's still a crap sleeper and if she doesn't take melatonin will be up until midnight.

Sorry to hear about troubles with crib transitions! We've put all of ours in cribs in their own rooms pretty much from day 1 so I have no advice on that front. I hope it gets better for you guys soon. shesellscshells, is your doctor concerned about her weight? If not, try not to worry about it! C has done a handful of full nights with no feed (for her that's about 13 hours) but for the most part she's still waking for a bottle somewhere between 3 to 5am (bedtime is somewhere between 6 to 630). Her older sister dropped that last feed right at 4 months so I'm like, please just drop it already! But I know it could be much worse. I usually have trouble falling back asleep after she wakes 😴

shesellscshells there's always something to worry about! I'm sure if she was hungry she would wake up, but easy for me to say. Let her sleep, you might be in our position in a few weeks!

Ok, Operation Fucking Sleep, Dude was semi successful. I went in three times, the third I was in there for almost two hour. Mostly because I twice messed up the transfer to the crib. But I managed to get him back to sleep a few times with the wubby instead of the boob, since he's definitely been taking advantage of boobage at night. And he slept from 4am until just now, almost 8am. He NEVER sleeps those morning hours. That's when he's just constantly stirring and grumpy usually, so that was a big success. Hopefully he'll start stretching his first sleep stretch and we can start getting more long stretches of sleep and less time up at night.

shesellscshells, is your doctor concerned about her weight? If not, try not to worry about it! She was seen elsewhere for her NB and 2 week checkups, so our kids’ usual pediatrician has only seen her once, for the 2m checkup. She noted that DD2 is on the small side, but probably just petite like her older sister was as a baby, who was in the 1-5%ile range for height and weight during the early months. We’ll see what she says in a couple weeks when we go for the 4m checkup. For now, I’m letting her sleep when she wants to sleep, but also trying to push more daytime feedings whenever possible. She did wake up once last night, spent the better part of 30 minutes nursing, then woke up with a very wet diaper that had leaked onto her PJs, so that definitely helped to ease my anxiety somewhat. All my kids have been petite, especially on weight. They didn't get concerned until DD2 started dropping off her curve. She went from 18th to 9th to 3rd and at that point our pediatrician started having us implement some dietary changes. This was her 9, 12, and 15 month appointments so we added in a daily pediasure and she bounced back up. I would think if your Pediatrician isn't concerned yet and babe is having plenty of wet diapers it should be fine. You can always mention it too though.

I would think if your Pediatrician isn't concerned yet and babe is having plenty of wet diapers it should be fine. You can always mention it too though. Official weights and current weight (WHO Girls %iles) Birth: 66th (likely inflated by IV fluids during labor) 3 days: 34th 2 weeks: 35th 2 months: 10th Approx 3.5 months: 5th (according to home scale) So some definite drops, but she overall seems to be healthy, happy, and meeting milestones, so I may be worrying for nothing. All of my other babies had newborn weight loss issues (11-13%) and initially were slow gaining, so I’m used to their weight being a “thing.” See also: mom guilt for the times when it’s simply impossible to meet everyone’s needs. I would definitely bring it up at her next appointment if she's still down. But is oupdnt make an extra appointment or anything if she's happy, eating enough, and making enough wet diapers.

H has dropped from her curve for weight (not height) and it's so funny how doctors are different about it. The first doctor was concerned when she fell from 76th at 2 weeks to 41st at 2 months.
At her 4 month check up a different doctor wasn't concerned at all even though she fell to 27th.
She's been 99th for height since birth.

Moving baby to his own room was such the right choice. Stretches last night weren't any longer, but he's obviously sleeping a lot more soundly. He was so restless in our room. He had three wake ups and I was out of the nursery successfully in 30 minutes or less every time. And for the second morning in a row he's slept through the early morning hours which he would not do in our room.
Today's goal is to stuff his belly super full all day and hope it helps him be less hungry over night. I've had him on the boob all day and just stuffed a few ounces of formula down him. He may or may not get a formula bottle at bedtime too. We'll see, that'll be a game time decision.

How did the night go, cnf? I hope your strategy works and he’s able to drop the night feedings. He woke at midnight and 5am then slept until 7am. He would have slept a bit longer but I saw him stir on the monitor. But the time I got in there he was back asleep but I woke him anyways. But yeah, only two wake ups! I'm super happy and it seems to be helping him get on a better nap schedule too now. Going from like 7-8 wake ups down to two is just so nice. I'm glad I moved him.

Glad it's going better at your house cnf. Hattie's been congested the last 3 nights. Her sleep hasn't been horrible overall but then at 5am all 3 nights it's like she gets annoyed by it and screams for an hour.

By this time my last September baby had already had a stomach bug and RSV because of daycare. Bonus to the pandemic is less germs around in general!
