I did Matty’s 45 minute 90s run from before Christmas. It was really fun. At one point, he had you run at an incline equal to how many times you saw Titanic in the theater 😂. I got 4.5 miles, so that should be it for today. That would be a 4 incline for me! 3 back in 1997 and once again when it was rereleased. I'd be at 7 😬

I am so happy to see so many new people. To the comments about not being a fast runner or a beginner or whatever— please release it! We are of all sizes, abilities, goals, and skill levels in here. No one is perfect and we shouldn’t be. The best part of this thread is how we all support each other and help when others struggle and encourage each other. You got up and moved your body, that is progress! Even when it’s not your hardest effort. It all counts! Even showing up to this thread for accountability helps when you’re struggling and haven’t been as on track as you wanted. This. Eyes on your own bar/bike/mat/whatever. Don't compare your day 1 with someone else's day 1,000. And being able to say what has or hasn't been going well is a big thing for a lot of people. And there are plenty of people here to help push you back the direction you want to go if that's what you need.

I just joined a step bet for the next four weeks. Maybe putting a little more incentive will get me moving more ☺️

I just did a Robin 30 min strength workout and I realized (again) how much I hate metcons and quit CF. It was a good filler workout for me before jumping back in to my regular routine but I reached a little too far with the weights and my body said “Um, no”. For sure had to go much lighter than I’m used to because this covid crap made me feel weak. It’s OK. My break was short and I didn’t lose strength but need to ease back in and that was a reminder. It’s nothing like when I got a breast augmentation and had to work my way back into lifting anything because it felt weird. Now that was a brutal length of time to wait and I did whatever I could to keep moving without using my upper body. Sometimes I have similar thoughts when I run and I used to be able to run at a certain pace but now can be a full 90secs per km slower. I try to remind myself that I’m not the same person that I used to be and at least I’m still forging ahead. Grace, and all that. Easier said than done, for sure. You’re not alone!

Hi. I am so far behind but wanted to check in. We went to Margaritaville from Friday to Saturday. It was really fun. To keep my peloton streak going I did a 10 min full body stretch yesterday morning. Today, I ran 3 miles with Olivia on a walk+run. Damn, she did not let us rest that much but I was holding a 9.40 pace so I was happy with that improvement. I signed up for a winter challenge with my running club; from 1/4 to 4/1 i have to run/walk 100 miles. I got this! Even with recovery from surgery. I prepped this creamy mexican chicken for my lunches. This stuff tastes just like chicken buffalo dip! I am excited. Dinner tonight is air fryer teriyaki chicken and brussel sprouts, fruit salad, and rice.

Long run day! Today was 8 miles. It was a little more difficult this week but I don’t think I ate enough carbs yesterday so I can fix that next week. I ran along to Becs Beatles run for the first half and my own music for the rest. I absolutely love the Beatles so I found it very motivating!
Now I’m exhausted and H took the kids and dog out for a walk/bike ride so I’m chilling on the couch with my coffee for a while.

RunsforWineandCarbs the girls are wild balls of crazy. You would never known they both had covid. Unfortunately H finally pulled a positive and I went to get retested today because I feel like shit. Horrible headaches, joint and muscle pain, hot flashes and chills. So it's fun, we're having fuuuunnnnn.

willow, take care of yourself today. I just got home from a dive with my DH. It is so nice to have something like that that we can do together. It was freezing, water temp was 4*C, and it was super windy on shore but still fun and I got to try out some new gear. That’s enough of a workout for me today. I’m going to spend the rest of the day meal planning, grocery shopping and cooking to get ready for upcoming school/work week.

15 min pop ride w/ Tunde 4 mile base run THE 10 min core w/ Olivia 10 min runner's strength w/ Becs 20 min yoga flow w/ Denis
Whew. I really liked that core class. My abs held up alright but omg my quads were so shakey from having already done a ride and run. That's a good one!

I woke up feeling so much more motivated today. I did a 2k row followed by a 30 min lifting session. I’m trying to find inspiration to get cooking again. Right now I’ve got veggies roasting for a bulgar wheat veg salad

30 minute tread body weight bootcamp with Adrian 45 minute intervals and arms ride with Emma.
I still need to do 10 minute core and 10 minute stretch but that will be done later. I was too hungry at the end of the ride to keep at it so I opted for lunch instead.
I love running with Adrian. Something about how he seems so effortless and loose makes me also run better and taller. Great bootcamp. I bonked a little the last 10 minutes of Emma’s ride but finished - another solid workout.
I took a quick nap after lunch and woke up sore as shit. I love it.

Also dc2london, it’s not Peloton, but check out obe - they have a free 2 week or 30 day trial and have a wide selection of low impact classes that are great. I second Obe! I do dance and sculpt classes with Madelaine O'Connell when I want non running cardio or something low impact. Strength classes can be done with lighter weights too.

I was going for an easy day today but uh, it didn’t workout that way.
20 minute Beatles body weight strength with Ben. This was a lie. It was all cardio with core thrown in for fun and totally kicked my butt. Was fun though. 10 minute arms and shoulders with Ben THE core with Olivia. Yep my quads hated it.
Now my kid wants to go play soccer in the back yard. Send help.
Food has been awful today. Oh well.
