My baby is a month old (😭) and we’ve been using the Snoo for a little over 2 weeks. I did not use the motion limiter and actually level 4 is the one that “does it” for him IF he’s going to let the snoo settle him.
I am not concerned in the least about the swaddle sack being clipped in and forcing him onto his back. It feels equally as safe as having him wide open in a crib. I know this is very debatable in the safe sleep groups but they’re a little intense and until the AAP names the snoo specifically, they’re going to continue to say it’s unsafe.
I personally would not feel okay using the sock in clips trick and swaddling my baby with the motion limiter but my baby also likes to curl up and roll to his side. There is still enough movement that for me I wouldn’t feel great doing that but TETO.
We haven’t gotten a bald spot yet but my first baby who slept great got one in her bassinet so I’m very 🤷🏻♀️ if he does. Some people use silk sheets to avoid it.
We’re still early on our use with it so I don’t think I can call it magic YET but what I do know is: -it allowed me to take an uninterrupted shower by putting my baby back to sleep when he woke up -it has seriously shortened our MOTN awake time. We are at 17-18min from unclip to reclip and that includes diaper change, nursing, and short attempt at burping (he never burps MOTN); we’re not having to do the rocking, shushing, bouncing, walking, etc that we’ve had to do with our other babies -it has definitely increased our sleep. I have seen on the app report that it has leveled up and soothed him back to sleep at times when I wasn’t awake. I’m a pretty light sleeper too so this is incredible to me.
It has been worth it for us so far especially since I bought used and will be able to resell for what I bought it for.

I’m at the MFM office awaiting my NIPT draw. I had the video call with the genetic counselor this morning and it went well. No major concerns other than my geriatric age at birth. 🙄lol. And fortunately they can hide the sex when they give me the results while still looking at the sex chromosomes, so H is happy about that. Sorry miawallace! 😆

Has anyone had an abnormal CBC in pregnancy? My doctor called today to tell me my labs were off-that my hematocrit, hemoglobin, and something else were low (indicating anemia, which is typical for me) but also my white blood count was much higher than anticipated (15.7 versus “normal high” of 10.4). They want to do additional testing but I don’t know what.

It could even just be a cold that would cause it. There are more serious things too, but I definitely wouldn’t jump to those right away.

I have to go in Friday for a 3 hour GD test too, so I assume they’ll rerun labs then if necessary. I also just read the thread about “secret” UTIs so I was like maybe that’s it!! Lol

@zweber how are you doing? Is your move imminent? Nonniedee how are you feeling? Do you need anything? pbandj714 I do not remember the rest of your tag and will be going back and editing when I find it, but are you doing okay? Still in the hospital? ETA I think I got your tag! donnameagle how are you doing? Are you still living the quarantine life? I’m so bad at remembering everyone’s timelines, or even my own, really. Does anyone need anything from afar? Let me help! Even with a raging hormone headache, I want to feel useful. If I can’t be useful to my coworkers or my family, let me be helpful to you. 😂

So it's good that it's stable. Baby looks great and is measuring in the 80%. Also great news. But they're keeping me here in the hospital. Abruptions are so unpredictable and if I need an emergency CS to save baby's life, I need to be here and not 30 min away. I was so hopeful about going home that it hit me pretty hard. Of course I'm thankful to be monitored so closely and will do anything to keep this baby safe, but damn do I miss my husband and big kiddos. And part of it is just being so disappointed in my body and needing to let go of "this was supposed to be my easy pregnancy".

Attn all pregnants. If you are buying the owlet sock/monitor costco is having a special through the next few days. $309 for the owlet 3 sock (newest version) the owlet video monitor and a dream sleep training plan (I dunno what that is)- a value of $547. I bought mine - costco has a great return policy should I decide it is not for us.
I have not pulled the trigger on the snoo, but I think we are 99% decided we are going that way. I knew without a doubt I wanted the owlet though, as she can use it after crib transition too.

thatgolfb , I am out of quarantine! Feels good to be back at work. I have an appt with MFM Friday to check cervix. I had to skip my quaratine weeks so I am anxious to get in there. My CS and tubal has been scheduled. Officially 17 weeks left. Feels like forever and not that long all at once. LOL.
ETA; feeling lots of movement which is nice. What is not nice is her actual kicks to my cervix these days. Like damn girl, we already have issues there! Can't you kick my ribs instead?

I just received a call from the genetic counselor, and the NIPT results were negative, so no reason to suspect any genetic abnormalities. Of course it's just a screen, but I am relieved it's not something we have to worry about. I didn't realize I was holding my breath, but I started crying a bit after she told me lol.

I had my first ultrasound today. There is a growing baby in there! I measured 9 weeks 6 days which is a little off from what I thought but my dates were very approximate. My due date is now August 13. Heard a heartbeat of 174. The tech got us some good pictures. I’m so hopeful this is our rainbow.
I was given a prescription for b6 and phenergan to help with my nausea. Next scan and bloodwork is February 4.

I found if I took it right at bedtime it got me through until about dinner time the next day.

Cervix is still holding strong at 3.25 no funneling. Measurements on track, placenta is appropriate size and blood flow is good. Back in 2 weeks now for another in depth growth scan!

When I got the 2nd tri bloodwork. My OB sent me an email saying I got higher than usual marked for xyz. I freaked the fuck out. It was a terrible week. So when I saw her, she was like nonchalant and said “oh this bloodwork doesn’t apply to twin pregnancies. My bad. I’ll order the correct one” and I wanted to throat punch and hug her at the same time.

Had my anatomy scan today and it went well! Everything looked normal and confirmed it’s a girl. My placenta is a little low, so I have to go back after 30 weeks to make sure it shifts away from the cervix. Same thing happened with my son, so I’m not concerned.
Third kid and I’m still amazed that there’s a little human inside me. She was yawning, rubbing her eyes, kicking. It’s wild that a baby grows from nothing.

I'm home!! After 2 weeks of no bleeding and the abruption looking stable on US, they let me come home. I'll be having a weekly NST at my OB's office and see MFM for an US every 3 weeks.
Super happy to be home with my family but it's difficult to manage my anxiety right now. I feel like I'm constantly on edge, waiting to bleed again. Hopefully with time, the anxiety lessens.
I also failed my 1 and 3 h glucose tests, so I'm anxious about managing GD from my bed. One more thing for MH to keep track of. I am the most burdensome of pregnant ladies.
