Has anyone had their anatomy scan exactly at 18 weeks and had to go back because they couldn't see everything? They wouldn't do it at 18 weeks if they couldn't, right?
I have just never done it that early, but it was the only appointment they had the calendar ready for, so I took it. My babies are notorious for making me go back a second time, regardless, so maybe this will just give me more time to do so.

thatgolfb if I recall correctly, my previous pregnancy's AS was about 18w. Wr had to go back, but mostly because the stinker wasn't cooperating and we had to go back a third (and maybe a fourth?) Fx your kiddo cooperates and you can get it all done the first time!

thatgolfb I had mine at 18+6 and they were able to see everything they needed to. I had another ultrasound at 24 weeks or so but I think that’s just his practice and not because anything was missed. With the twins I had it done at 17 weeks but I had to go back to get more photos since they weren’t cooperating.

I’m 29 weeks and woof ifs getting harder and harder. I met with my MFM and she put in a recommendation to my OB to schedule my csection Week 37-38. I see OB on Monday so I might have a csection date by the. Woah! Shit is getting real.
Also my husband and I just got pre-approved for a home loan and I’m debating whether it was a great idea to do all this right now. My choices in life are chaotic sometimes.

The thought of looking at houses when I could be sleeping seems like a bad idea and a first world problem.

Also wasabi decided to do the newborn cloth so I need to buy newborn covers and prefolds/flats. I’m going with cheap and easy. How many covers should I get? I was thinking of getting premie diapers but MFM said babies are already 2-3lbs. She thinks they’ll be 5-6lbs at birth. So perfect for newborn.

Here is a post about my stash from TCF: www.thencomesfamily.com/community/thread/143229/wanna-critique-nb-stash. Hope this helps! I also have a few NB covers I'd be willing to ship you if you want.

I was thinking of getting premie diapers but MFM said babies are already 2-3lbs. She thinks they’ll be 5-6lbs at birth. So perfect for newborn. It’s such a tough call because newborns poop so much. But I’m sure you could probably get at least 2-3 uses out of a cover before switching it out. Even more if you’re good at folding prefolds around the whole baby instead of just a padfold (I sucked at that). I’d probably get 15-18 to be on the safe side with two babies. One of my favorite covers was Happy Flute, it also fit the smallest. They’re also one of the more affordable ones for sure. happybeehinds.com/products/happy-flute-diaper-cover-11?variant=32521978413137I actually ordered mine off AliExpress and I think it was even cheaper there, but shipping took a while. I’m trying to remember how often I usually changed M per day back then. I know I had about 14 AIOs and that was plenty with laundry every day and disposables at night. I really probably used 10-12 every day and had a couple extra. But again, disposables at night so I probably would’ve needed a couple more if not for that. I don’t know if you want prefolds reqs, and I don’t really have any super affordable ones I tried. I know I already told you about the Nickis Diapers XS bamboo which I LOVE. They’re like $20 for 6. So you’d probably sink quite a bit of money into them for full time. I will say I got $10 for 6 of them when I resold on fb marketplace. Which isn’t helpful when you’re on a budget to start, I know. ETA: I keep thinking more about it, and maybe 20 covers would be safer. That newborn poop, man.

I only used at night with her because that plus hemp flat as backup and thirsty cover was my 100 leak proof overnight diaper. I have prefolds but they are the infant size ones so I definitely need to get newborn. Mignt get some from amazon. Ozocozy or however you spell it.

Moving while you’re pregnant is great though. No heavy lifting. The only thing is twin third trimester life is literally so much fatigue. The thought of looking at houses when I could be sleeping seems like a bad idea and a first world problem. Either do it now or wait until after the babies come. Remember that it will probably be 45-60 days after your offer is accepted that you close. So you might end up buying while pregnant but moving with newborns, which sounds like a nightmare.

They are fraternal but their placenta locations were not great. Are yours fraternal? They are. But I actually had previa with one of the babies that resolved. Last I checked on Monday the placenta was still resolved. I have more other issues. So I have a liver autoimmune. They are keeping an eye on my liver stuff as if I have cholestasis. The medication I take as treatment for my autoimmune is what doctors give women with cholestasis. I’ve been on it from the beginning. So far, :::knocks on wood::: the bile acids are good. But my MFM says those numbers usually start to elevate around 30ish weeks so That could mean earlier delivery too. Lots of unknowns. When people ask when I’m due I’m like who knows. Lol

Lol You should be good on the previa then . My friend had cholestasis when she was pregnant with twins she got to over 37. If you make it to 35 you're good and anything beyond that is awesome. Most people with twins are walking disasters third trimester. Plus covid and it's a shit show. If you have any questions pm me. Mine are only 9 months so I'm still in the middle of it. I love it though.

I had dating at 8 weeks, anatomy scan at 18 weeks, one at 24, growth ultrasound at 30, BPP due to a failed NST at one point, and one at 37 weeks to check her size since I had GD.

miawallace, interest rates are really good right now on home loans. BUT, at least in our area, home prices are through the roof. Way higher than I have ever seen them, and the prices increased quickly. For both those reasons, we are refinancing, but buying a new house would be tough. Of course, my area isn't exactly your area, so things may be different there. I am sure you have already considered that!

Houses are not even on the radar because of how expensive they are. But agreed on low interest. My brother just refinanced his house and his monthly payment is about $400 less than what they were paying.

miawallace Girl. Stop it right now with the home buying thing. I mean, I can only speak for myself but I had a textbook twin pregnancy, no issues, etc. I went on modified bedrest at 33 weeks and I was exercising and walking regularly until that point. My body told me to stop and from then on, I basically sat/laid on the couch or in a bed. The stress of home buying shouldn't be what is going on when you're this pregnant -- maybe wait til the babies are a few months old? Or you could be superwoman and taking this whole thing way better than I did, lol. I made it to my c/s at 38+1 and there is no way you could have gotten me to tour houses any time past 34 weeks. ETA: I should add that I traveled to FL at 29/30 weeks and did pretty well with the bit of walking we did while there. So it definitely ramps up quick.

Also I hope that didn't come off harsh. If home buying works best for you both, then go for it! I just wanted to be straight with you about how much more difficult even breathing gets after the next few weeks.

I’m trying to figure out how to manage this. We live in a tiny place at my parents. Having the babies here is kind of stressing me out if I’m honest. We moved in to save. We have a great down payment amount. Interests are low. I’m just trying to figure out timing. Push comes to shove I can have my husband go to the showings. It will be our first home so my expectations arent super high. We just need a bigger place and to stop renting. Normally I’m not impulsive or quick to make these type changes.

Ah yeah, being with your parents with your babies plus the big kid will be a bit tough BUT --- it may also be really nice for the first couple months if your parents are able to help just so you can take a nap, etc. I would have loved to have my parents living with me while going through the newborn stage. Of course it also depends on your relationship with your parents and if they would even entertain the idea of helping out.
