miawallace We sold our house in May to a couple who was like 30 some weeks pregnant. The wife didn’t come. I guess he knew what they wanted and FaceTimed each showing.

I know. I’m trying to figure out how to manage this. We live in a tiny place at my parents. Having the babies here is kind of stressing me out if I’m honest. We moved in to save. We have a great down payment amount. Interests are low. I’m just trying to figure out timing. Push comes to shove I can have my husband go to the showings. It will be our first home so my expectations arent super high. We just need a bigger place and to stop renting. Normally I’m not impulsive or quick to make these type changes. Ah yeah, being with your parents with your babies plus the big kid will be a bit tough BUT --- it may also be really nice for the first couple months if your parents are able to help just so you can take a nap, etc. I would have loved to have my parents living with me while going through the newborn stage. Of course it also depends on your relationship with your parents and if they would even entertain the idea of helping out. My dad is retired. Mom works so it would be just me after parental leave is done. Not that my parents don’t help. I’ve always been sort of my own with that. With C it was just me. So I’m not expecting people to help. Will gladly receive help if that makes sense.

lol. I mean, I guess that could work! It just seems like a lot to add to your plate right now, ha. I know. I’m trying to figure out how to manage this. We live in a tiny place at my parents. Normally I’m not impulsive or quick to make these type changes. I am impulsive and weird and would totally take advantage of buying a house right now if you think you can swing it. I also concede that I have no idea how a twin pregnancy feels so I’m not trying to invalidate your feelings willow! I think if you have help when it comes to moving then it can be a very good time to buy a house. I am also worried about prices going up so that’s a lot of where my head is at. I am very do it as soon as possible when these rates are low, ya know? I did not like having a newborn while living with my MiL also, so that’s partially where my feelings come in too. She was helpful but also I don’t like having to be around other people when I’m in the newborn phase.

Mine was a disaster. I had previa so you should go father than me. They are fraternal but their placenta locations were not great. Are yours fraternal? They are. But I actually had previa with one of the babies that resolved. Last I checked on Monday the placenta was still resolved. I have more other issues. So I have a liver autoimmune. They are keeping an eye on my liver stuff as if I have cholestasis. The medication I take as treatment for my autoimmune is what doctors give women with cholestasis. I’ve been on it from the beginning. So far, :::knocks on wood::: the bile acids are good. But my MFM says those numbers usually start to elevate around 30ish weeks so That could mean earlier delivery too. Lots of unknowns. When people ask when I’m due I’m like who knows. Lol ::creeps in:: I had cholestasis with all three of mine. Symptoms started around 29-31wks and suckkkkked. The meds (ursodiol?) I took with DD2 at least helped her stay in until I was induced at 36wks. The other two were born spontaneously at 34 and 33wks, respectively.

I was actually diagnosed with my autoimmune because I was itchy. I haven’t itched since I started urso. I take it 3 Times a day even before I get pregnant. With my first I didn’t get it. So I keep waiting for the itchy stuff. They check my Bile stuff ever two weeks just to make sure they are low. Last I checked they were at like 5 or 6. So who knows.

miawallace, my twin pregnancy was picture perfect until 29 weeks when my cervix started shortening. I had a PTL scare then, received steroids and procardia at the hospital, and went home on modified bed rest. Had another PTL scare at 31 weeks, received mag at the hospital, and went home on full bed rest. Ended up having to be induced at 38+3 and all was well. But yeah, home buying would not have been in the cards for me even though at 28 weeks everything was sunshine and rainbows. Also, Bummis Superbrite and Thirsties XS covers were my favorite for the NB stage! G and L were 6 and 5 lb when they were born and we started CDs at 2 weeks old.

miawallace I bought and sold a house with newborn twins + an almost 2 year old (I the twins were about 1.5 months old when I started house shopping after realizing our house wasn’t going to work). We moved when they were 4 months (the sellers is the house we bought wanted to wait until the end of the school year - so it was a longer closing). It wasn’t that terrible. It was nice to be able to look at houses in the middle of the day since I was on maternity leave. (The 2 year old ass at daycare). I do think realtors looked at me funny when I walked in with two newborns in car seats. But it was worth it. We ended up with a house that meets our needs so much better than our old house. We did use a moving company and my mom was able to watch the kids on moving day and helped the next day with watching kids/unpacking. I’m sure at the time I was cursing myself and wondering wtf I was doing, but now I only remember the positives of getting the new house!

I moved when C was about 2 months old and we did just what you said. My mom watched her while I helped haul stuff with my husband. We also don’t have a ton of stuff rignt now because our place is small and got rid of so much before we moved back with my parents. We’re going to get other type of furniture once we move.

I think I want/need to try to wean off the reglan. I am nervous about it. I’m almost 14 weeks so I think the worst of my nausea *should* be over... the reglan just makes me extremely tired which is tough when I take a dose before work. But I would rather be tired than nauseous so IdK. Maybe I will try weaning off my midday dose and see how it goes.

@zweber itchy isn’t good. Is there a chance it’s cholestasis? i don’t think so because it goes away during the day. they say that cholestasis doesn’t go away ever. but it’s definitely worth the blood draw to find out! also i’m over 30 weeks and still can’t wean off the nausea meds so don’t feel bad if you can’t yet!

We moved when I was like 4 or 5 months pregnant with C and R was under a year old. H had the weekend to move as much stuff from our old house to the new house before going back to work that Monday and leaving me with allllll the unpacking. Somewhere there is a picture of me laying on the couch in the moving truck and R sitting on my back. I was so exhausted. Then I went totally crazy and had my mom come help me remove the border paper and we painted about 80% of all the inside of my house. The only thing we didn't paint was the bathrooms (maybe we did paint 1?), bedrooms, and kitchen. We started taking the paper down on NYE and R's first birthday party was on 1/3. It was a tight squeeze to make it work. 🤣

From what I’ve heard about cholestasis because of my own liver shenanigans is that itchyness happens at night the most. When I was diagnosed with PBC (liver autoimmune) my itchyness happened at night. Ask your doctor about labs because usually cholestasis starts around that 30ish week mark. Oh and I’m still on anti nausea meds because woof.

So I saw my OB yesterday. I finally have an eviction date!!! Thursday March 18th. She was going to give me the St Patrick’s day for surgery but she doesn’t do schedule surgeries on Wednesdays so she scheduled it for the next day. Woot woot! I’ll be 37 weeks. She was going to do 38 weeks but she’s keeping an eye on my liver stuff so she says it’s safer should my liver start acting up. We can always move it to the following week. My bile acids were 6 yesterday so she said she technically is removing the “cholestasis” thing from chart. But she’s ordering labs every few weeks to keep an eye on them because they start rising after 30+ weeks.
Also I’m getting my tubes removed and signing my consent next Monday.

Are you nervous because you think you're still nauseas or because you don't like taking meds? If it's the second don't stress. My kids are fifty/fifty zofran and promethazine

Trust, the only reason I’m thinking about weaning is that the side effects are affecting me badly too. I’m skipping my midday dose today; so we will see how it goes. If the nausea comes back, back to three times per day I go!

Early on with a 3 pregnancies, my cholestasis itchiness was mostly in my hands and feet and generally worse at night. It ebbed and flowed, but I was eventually itchy all the time all over. My boobs were soooo itchy with DD2 and it was so awkward.

So I have been itchy around my ankles and wrists basically this whole pregnancy. Mostly when I wake up and in the evening. I thought about cholestasis, but it’s so mild. Sometimes I have almost little bumps, so I thought it might be dry skin? Should I bring this up at my next appointment?

robotsvswrestlers, I would bring it up. It could very well just be dry skin, but since cholestasis can be serious, it doesn't hurt to bring it up out of an abundance of caution.
