The only thing I remember about being in GS was every year beginning of December we had an event where all the troops in the area showcased a gingerbread house and we would get together the night before to decorate it and meet at the event where there was fun things to do.

We had a little troop and my cousin’s mom was out troop leader. We maybe had a couple meetings a year and the Christmas meet was the most memorable. I think I did it for 3-4 years starting at age 8.

I need to mop. Mallory dumped her cocoa last night and cerael milk this morning. I thought I got it cleaned up but based on the dog hair stuck in that spot... I did not.

C is on his last Zoom. The snowman is half asses but we may try to dress it up later. I just ate an inordinate amount of pasta and likely won't be able to move for a bit:) The snow has stopped. We shoveled out earlier so there shouldn't be too much. DH has a meeting at 2 and then I am hoping we can go sledding. If not, C will continue his snowball fight with the girls next door. They have these plastic snowball makers and he stole one from their backyard and created a stock pile for later. Good luck to them!

On my Sims I'm slowly working on building the Rose family. I've got Johnny done. I want to try my design skills at the motel. Listening to Madison play her Sims is hilarious. "Oh look! It's our little bundle of joy!...I'm in my second trimester and eating for two!...I need to potty train Jon." She names her Sim children Jon and Martha. She's old school.

I was nervous about having C home while we all had work/school but he was really good. He played in the snow while DH shoveled and then watched Sesame Street. He only wandered down to my basement classroom twice. I have 2 meetings at 2 and then we are going sledding. We’ve never taken T to the actual big hill here so he’s excited.

Being Petty Betty, I checked her FB and only 2 people have responded to her post today, which means so far, we are ahead. Although sales last for a month!

I'm crying...Evie's teacher just sent me a FB message. We had sent 2 books to school with Evie that were appropriately aged, explaining JIA. This is what she said:

'We read the books to the class today and talked about her diagnosis. The kids were very receptive and asked questions. I haven't seen her playing this much with friends all year. Great Idea! Wish I'd thought of it sooner! Glad she brought the books in!'

She included 2 pics of Evie on the playground surrounded by friends.

I'm a goddamn mess crying alone in my kids playroom, so happy she feels like she fits in for the first time.

The length parents go trough to get at smile on your kids face... I spend the last half hour staging ‘elfies’ of my kids and the elf with my Polaroid camera, the oldest two were sound asleep, so no big deal. Baby girl however has been nursing every hour since 5 and refuses to be out down... it took a lot of shushing to get her to close her eyes in her crib for long enough to take one picture 😂.

Hey. S had her Christmas party at school today too. I spent the entire time she was there finishing up my Christmas shopping. I just have to get one last gift card and I’m done. I got the email that I could schedule my covid shot so I will be getting that after work on Saturday! I also spoke with the sbux customer service and they gave me back my money and stars.

I got through most of my purging and cleaning. Why do I still feel like I’m not done?
Probably because I cleared out everything into a big box and that box is just in my garage. Not sure what to do with it yet. I hate to sit it out with the trash, but I want it all gone!

Picked up my grocery order after work, picked up dinner. Got home and half my groceries weren't there. So I had to call and then go back to the store to get my missing bags.
Came home, ate, went to Cadence's schoolwork and she hadn't done it. She also didn't do her cleaning task for the day. And yet she had her tablet.
Idk wtf goes on when I'm at work, but if the secondary parent isn't going to follow and enforce the rules then we're going to have a problem. They both know that she isn't supposed to have the tablet until she's done with school work and chores.
UGH!!
His response is, "idk I told her to do them" 🤷
