I haven’t read yet, so not sure if this is UO or not. I liked this season so much better than S1. The characters were more interesting, and I prefer the slow burn. I loved all of it. Loved!
I liked the actor who played Benedict, so I’m excited to see what they do with his character’s season, although I’m not sure how it can be as steamy as S2. (I liked Benedict’s book, too, from what I recall.) He doesn’t have the same kind of smolder as Anthony, but maybe he’ll surprise me. (I did not expect S1 Anthony had it in him… who knew the effect shaving sideburns could have?!)

I’m a little bereft, because I misread the Netflix menu somehow — I thought there were 10 episodes. I was finishing episode 8 this morning just as DS woke up, and I thought, wow, what are they going to do with the next two episodes. Oh. It’s over. So now I’m watching Blaze and the Monster Machines. 🤨

It always takes forever for that first kiss. Everything is sighs and looks. I love this kind of romance a lot. It took me on a slow burn book hunt.

Has a telenovela where one of the couples is the best slow burn ever. They get together towards the end. It’s got an enemies to lovers storyline. Growing up all I watched was telenovelas and back in the day they were all slow burns. They’ve gotten rather steamy now, which no problem, but I feel like they’ve lost a lot of be slow burn charm of yesteryear. The Mexican version of Rebelde is also slow burn. Girl I can go on. Lol

Agreed, season 2 is far superior. I gave up on season one after three episodes but binged season 2 in three days. Apparently slow burn is the pace for me with Regency romances. Give me all the smoldering ballroom stares.
I think Benedict’s story has potential. He comes off as so silly and sensitive. I think Sophie is going to knock him for a loop. I am ready for a pining Benedict.

FFFC, I just went back and watched the last 5 minutes of episode 8 again. That was the serotonin boost I needed on this Friday, it seems.

I deeply preferred Season 1, but I find Simon more compelling as a character than Anthony
Also, the will they/won't they was a little too dragged on. I wish they'd gotten to the marriage quicker, as in the book.

I'm halfway through episode 7. I definitely wish they had stuck to the book more but I am also enjoying it more than season 1. I miss seeing Simon though 🔥

I agree with you that Simon is more interesting as a hero, but on the flip side, I find Daphne to be almost unbearably dull in both book and show. I far prefer Kate in terms of personality.

I have curated my FYP to contain lots of Bridgerton and I am quite pleased.
I also enjoy videos that come up if people who are absolutely ecstatic to see themselves in the Sharmas.

I saw on fb (so it must be true right? LOL) that actors that play Kate and Anthony have agreed to return for season 3.
No idea if that’s true but I would be happy if it is. Just like I enjoyed the occasion lol appearances of Daphne and baby Augie in season 2.

Did anyone else notice that Kate was often in lilac hues as a nod to the father’s favorite flower?

I liked Eloise’s character in the books. I just didn’t care for the actress. She has a way of flopping all over that I find distracting.

I fell down a rabbit hole of sexy Bridgerton tiktok after clicking this (not mad), and one of the comments on a scene, “I swear I’ve read a book with this exact scene.” 🤣
