Speaking of hair, has anyone else tried the Revlon dryer/brush in one? My sister got me one for my bday and I'm hooked! My hair looks like my stylist just did it. One tool vs. using my dryer, straightener, and hot rollers for the same 'look'--I'm sold.

Evie is ALL IN on her American Girl doll right now, changing her clothes daily, putting her in pjs, etc. So I told my mom to get her some of the accessories and clothes. But the cheaper Target version because holy shit...AG stuff is crazy expensive. She got a catalog last week and circled pretty much everything. My mom is picking her up from school today and told me to put the catalog in her backpack and they will go through it this afternoon. I got Cadence a Christmas night gown with a matching doll size one. Baby Jesus (her AG bitty baby) was immediately changed into it and Cadence wants to wear hers every night. I'm laughing that is the name of you bitty baby. I don't know that Evie ever named hers, but that doll is the only thing I could handle paying for in that store! They closed the actual store here, thank God, then we can't take her and have her guilt us into buying anything! Their pjs seem to be undersized. Evie had a pair that matched her doll and the didn't last long.

mwhip that's awesome that she plays with the AG doll so much. I got mine later in elementary school and while I loved 'having' it and collecting all the outfits (Samantha had the best clothes, lol), I didn't really *play* with it. On the upside, as a result she is in pristine condition and my parents saved all the furniture, wardrobe, etc. so that'll be a nice gift to pass to C at some point.

Can't believe I waited this long to get one. It's changed my life in a week, lol.

Ah yes, she even got in a fight with a boy when she was 3 because he said Baby Jesus couldn't be a girl.

I love how my hair comes out but I can’t hold the thing long enough to dry my whole head with it so I have to use my regular dryer first then just style with that. I like when my sister does it for me. I had to go for staff photos at work a few weeks back and I only styled the front of my hair that will be seen in the photo.

mwhip , we just got rid of Cadence's play kitchen, but I did get her a diner for her AG dolls. So just a different version of a play kitchen/play food. Cadence didn't ask for any of the new big LOL stuff, just little ones like the video game ones and some all stars. She asked for a drone game that at first I said no to, but the joelies was saying her boys had a lot of fun with it, so I went ahead and got that. I'm also working on getting a lot of the AG book series, which she probably won't be into just yet, but I'm hoping one day she will. I bought her a bunch of new leggings, but I had to go ahead and put those in her drawer because she didn't have any pants to wear that fit and it got too cold for shorts and skirts. We get the same knock-off Target dolls (Walmart has a version now too). My mom would be happy to buy them a dozen more dolls but I asked that she please get them accessories instead. What did Maddie want? A wheelchair. The guy at Target said they fly off the shelves every time they restock them. Kids are such delightful weirdos.

I'm sure it's just a phase and next week she will be all in on something else. I find it cute and endearing when she is playing with the doll, until she tells me I need to do her hair by the time Evie gets home from school. For a small doll, those things have a LOT of hair. AG was not a thing was I was a kid, but I'd have been into them. I can see the appeal to them.

Since I go nowhere I only use it about once a week but it looks really nice after and I get three days of unwashed hair instead of two.

trtlcrzy C has been that way with school before. What worked well for us has always been rewarding the good. So even now he gets a point for getting out the door in time with mount arguing, a point for no behavior reports at school or aftercare, and a point for no arguing at bedtime. At the end of the week if he gets 19 out of the 21 possible points he gets an allowance or toy under $10. We also added extra point items like helping with chores. Usually we do this for a few weeks and then can back off if it a bit and go back if we need to. Maybe it would help S?

I have a BrushX, which is similar, I believe. I used it twice and realized it's faster with my regular dryer. SO, if anyone wants a BrushX I'll gladly send it to you.

If you want to swoon over some adorable dogs and cats the shelter that I mentioned yesterday that is amazing (super nice with large enclosures for all the animals) is doing their annual Home for the Holidays campaign in which they greatly reduce adoption fees in hopes of giving long term residents a home for the holidays. The holiday pictures are adorable. I totally want Luciana. Humane Societysafehavenhumane.org/home-for-holidays-adoption-campaign/

I got the Sudafed and pumped a little to get out of pain. Try not drinking much too. When I was sick and unable to keep anything down while S was nursing my supply dropped drastically.

She just tells me she wants to stay with me all day. I try telling her that I’m boring but it doesn’t work lol.

I haven’t necessarily been avoiding haircuts for anyone but since everyone (besides dh) had long hair I didn’t worry about it for a while. Now that H has a bob I take her every 8ish weeks, and I just got mine cut a few weeks ago. S needs a trim but I think I’m going to wait until after the holidays. flamingo that dryer brush has been popular with the ig influencers for a while. I kind of want to try it but I feel like I will be lazy and not really use it that much. Since I was pregnant I’ve been letting my hair air dry, but now that it’s shorter I actually need to do something so it doesn’t look like crazy 90s flippy hair.

wedding, do you have a chart that you use to keep track of points? I would write them on the fridge white board next to the poster I made. Since he couldn’t read I drew pictures of his goes such as clothes, teeth, and breakfast for his morning. We also never took points away. I think that was where the marble jar failed us because it was a reward or a punishment and the punishment piece just made him more explosive and less interested.

The first few cats do not look healthy. Maybe upper respiratory infections? Either way they are not likely to get adopted with those pics. The dogs are super cute though. I like that little Olive. She looks like a Pit mixed with a Jack Russel.
