That's all the er dr said to my mother.  His cardiologist had him on aspirin every day, but the surgeons made him stop taking it before surgery.  They didn't tell him to stop taking it until the day before though, so that's why he was bleeding a lot.  He hasn't been on his aspirin since then.  My guess is that has something to do with it.

ETA but this wouldn't be his first stroke either.

My SIL- MH’s sister- just told me that my niece (4yo) tested positive. They found out last weekend that one of her teachers tested positive and since then 4 of the kids did so too. Not sure when she got tested, but I was just testing with her about Christmas gifts and she told me. No symptoms, but BIL has a cough now, so he is quarantined upstairs. I’m sure he’ll get tested at some point.

They have been taking this very seriously and not really seeing people except SIL when she goes to work every three weeks. She has kind of been freaking out about it ever since March. They finally decided to put my niece into a private pre-k when school started because all the time home was getting to her and them. I hate that sending her to school is what brought it into their home.

Crazy how it’s hitting so many people close to us now. Mostly MH’s family, but my nieces dad has it now, too so I wonder if it will start hitting my family’s side next. Gosh I’m having second thoughts about not taking the vaccine. I may ask my boss if we can still decide to get it.

Youth sports are closing down as of Friday. We know for sure hockey is out because our governor has been gunning for hockey for weeks. We can’t figure out gymnastics though because lessons and classes are not closing but practices are. I don’t know what distinguishes a lesson from a practice, nor do the owners and coaches of our gym.

chrisy01 thanks for the advent calendar reminder. I ran out at lunch and got it the last 4 out of 5 in the store.

No- it will be available to healthcare workers first. We were told it may be mid December and my boss wanted to get a head count of people that wants to take it. That’s all I know. I was going to wait a few months, but I’m rethinking that. I just don’t know what to do.

Dr. Fauci had nothing but good stuff to say and I’m inclined to trust him, so if I can, then maybe?

I think I heard nursing homes are second in line for it.

My mom got an update that my dad's surgery is still going well. Estimated time they'll be done now is 1.5 hours later, so 8:30pm.

It's a tough decision. I will definitely get it when it is offered to the general public, however, by then, a ton of people will have gotten it. I am not sure what I would do in your shoes.

She's so conscious of covid that I'm not sure. She isn't even sure if she wants me to come spend the night tomorrow because of it. She said she just wants to get home and sleep in her own bed which I get.

they're going to admit him and he's starving.  Lol.  The speech therapist still hasn't come in to assess his swallowing, so the ER won't give him anything to eat.
