Do I need to shave for routine OB appointments. They already did the pap smear. I don't care to right now.

I think all my practice does is measure you, pee in a cup, find heartbeat, ask any questions. Done.

I wouldn't bother, you. I did forget to shave my armpits when I had my full exam. Whoops.

Baby is sitting low today. Move up kid! You are making me more uncomfortable than usual.

I have no motivation today. Zero. So I decided to put something in the oven that will take 7 hours to cook so I have an excuse not to go anywhere.

FFTC - my ob team has to deal with unshaved me. I did end up shaving my legs after my last appt because they were a little rediculous and I feel like I was getting some side eyes for that, but don't do it routinely. I just hope and expect they've seen much worse, so a little body hair isn't a big deal.

I sort of hate my OB. No reason, just not feeling it and feeling I get pushed through with little conversation on how things are going or anything. My husband doesn't see it. I was going to switch after the last baby and then forgot to and got pregnant again. Wdyt?

I think what pissed me off was with my first I had PPD and he dismissed it. Then I had a loss and during my follow up appointment he talked about my husband and never asked how I was. I followed up after my last kid and had a lot of pain. He never asked about my recovery. The appointment was maybe a minute.

Having a baby is such a personal thing and I really think it should be with someone you can depend on and it certainly doesn't sound like you can depend on your OB. And I hope you didn't shave for him.

Speaking of shaving - my friend works for my OB (she's his Medical Assistant and I love that I get to see her every time I go in!) and she said that no matter what we think is bad - they have seen worse. She's told me some gross stories that make me feel much better when I "forget" to shave LOL

And thus guy sounds like a dick. I vote for you to start researching

A teacher got stabbed repeatedly in the chest today while breaking up a fight in one of the high schools in my district. Not mine, thankfully, but JFC.

you, definitely switch. cnf, whoa. that's insane and I'm glad it wasn't your school! peggels24, my brother is a medical scribe at two ERs in the area and applying for medical school. the stories he tells me ... both funny and grotesque. I always assume they've seen worse. Except when DH's face swelled up from the poison ivy. He won for grotesque in terms of allergic reaction.

I am looking at doctors and I don't know where to start. I am browsing names and I am like who is going to not be a jerk. Ugh.
I interact with a lot of doctors and it doesn't take much time to interact with your patients.

No idea how a kid even got a knife in.

I interact with a lot of doctors and it doesn't take much time to interact with your patients. The practice where I go has little videos from each doctor/midwife on their website. You probably won't be able to tell if they are a jerk from that, but you can always google them and look for any reviews too. If you are in a local moms group on Facebook, you can always ask for recommendations too.

Found doctors that took my insurance, were fairly close to me and then I googled them for reviews etc.

I interact with a lot of doctors and it doesn't take much time to interact with your patients. Ask friends. Ask on local mom groups. It may get overwhelming, but you will start to see names repeated. Start with those.
