What YouTube video did you all use to show kids how to tie shoes? We’re late to game on this one. I just kept buying Velcro and slip ons for school. 🤷🏽♀️ We haven’t done this yet either. S still wears Velcro shoes. |

S still wears Velcro shoes. Same. Their cleats were tie but they fit so snug, they couldn't even get them on by themselves. |

I had a flat shoe awhile back for evie to learn on and she never did. Even though she has (my) big feet, she always picks velcro. And I still have to put those on her.
Clearly she also has my laziness.

I hate laces as an adult. The girls both wanted to learn so I eventually got them shoes with laces, but then learned they're overrated and prefer slip-ons. 😄 Thanks for the PSA trtlcrzy! I'll check it out. My stepdad hasn't seen us since March and I know he and my mom would love it. wedding *sigh* that's so sad. And you're exactly right, without caution it will be hitting home more. One of my HS friends is a Covid nurse and her FB posts are sobering. It almost feels like the spring was just the pre-game and we're in the eye of the storm now. mwhip that's so frustrating. I'm sorry. tgrimes safe travels back home. |

I've had a lazy weekend. Finalized out TG menu and MH is finally in agreement at keeping it simple with a smoked turkey breast.
I think tomorrow we'll decorate for Christmas.
Went to Michael's and picked up some crafts and that kept the kids busy all afternoon. I'm knitting now. I sliced my finger making dinner but it looks like I'll survive without stitches. Inaugurated the new knife set MH got. 😬 I made one of my grandma's specialties and it came out perfect. 💁♀️👩🍳

Team no lacing shoes here... they wear converse all the time, but have just mastered getting them on themselves, they are so tight! Most of the time they wear wellies/rain boots (how do you call those?) since they can’t wear shoes inside school anyway and their outside play area is 70% sand/mud/water.

It wasn’t this exact video, but we watched one with this method and he got it. He can’t do the bunny ears, loop/swoop thing, so this was much easier. |

Fat noodles aka German dampfnudeln. I love them. They made them on an episode of the Great British Baking Show that we recently watched so it got me craving them. |

You can start with this one. It wasn’t this exact video, but we watched one with this method and he got it. He can’t do the bunny ears, loop/swoop thing, so this was much easier. Yay! |

Did my post last night not work? Yesterday after work dh and I got all the lights ready and hung on the roofline. Then dusk came and we noticed the lights hadn’t turned on so we thought maybe it was the timer thing. DH went and messed with the plugs and nope, one of my brand new strings of light is not working. I was so mad. When I got home from work today he went up and checked the first couple bulbs to see if that would fix the problem. We can’t tell if they are working or not because they are LED and impossible to see in the daylight. Cross all of your fingers and toes they turn on tonight so DH doesn’t have to take them all down and redo it. As someone who spent their entire day putting up outdoor decorations, I hope they work tonight! I'm exhausted! No dice. He ended up taking them down, I tried to find the problem, gave up, and then exchanged them for new lights this morning. |
