This morning I was talking to a nurse that works in the icu at my hospital. She is not working with the covid patients at this time, but with other ICU patients. She said now they are starting to see people come back who have recovered from covid but their lungs are so messed up that they’re having more issues. I wish these covid deniers could talk to the people actually working on the front lines or go up to a covid unit and actually see what it’s like.

trtlcrzy The home health nurse came out yesterday. She said with next week being thanksgiving she’s not sure if/when the therapists will be there. He’ll get OT, PT & ST. They’ll contact them to set up times.

I’m so sorry wedding. We lost a staff member at my work in April when it was peaking here. Unfortunately, more people now know someone who lost their lives to it. Very sad.

My mom left this morning and L was in tears. He hugged his grandma doll for almost an hour. I brought out the coloring books, reading books, and LEGO set I got him for our trip. It seemed to cheer him up. E didn’t even notice she was gone. We didn’t wake her up to say goodbye because she’s mean when she is woken up too early. I went shopping for Thanksgiving 🦃 and got a ton of candy for stockings and our advent calendar. I’m 90% done with Christmas 🎄 and Hanukkah 🕎 shopping.

Did my post last night not work? Yesterday after work dh and I got all the lights ready and hung on the roofline. Then dusk came and we noticed the lights hadn’t turned on so we thought maybe it was the timer thing. DH went and messed with the plugs and nope, one of my brand new strings of light is not working. I was so mad. When I got home from work today he went up and checked the first couple bulbs to see if that would fix the problem. We can’t tell if they are working or not because they are LED and impossible to see in the daylight. Cross all of your fingers and toes they turn on tonight so DH doesn’t have to take them all down and redo it.

When he has to, yes. He wears one at work and the rare occasion we go to Target or to eat. He knows I have no patience for that bullshit...I've told him numerous times it's as easy thing to do to have some semblance of normalcy and he needs to set a good example for Evie since she wears one all day.

As someone who spent their entire day putting up outdoor decorations, I hope they work tonight! I'm exhausted!

MH finally heard from this guy he talked to last week. The process is going slower than he thought it would, but he told Mh to just be ready because it could be a spur of the moment interview. He also knows there are two other people up for the job, but we still have a shot. May be a long shot, but that just means there is absolutely no need to get my hopes up.
