What are everyone's plans?

We are having Evies birthday party this afternoon. Immediate family, although I told our neighbor she could come by if she wanted since she's been working from home.

Evie woke at 3 ready for her party, fortunately she fell back to sleep until 630. I need to go pick up her cake from my best friend, then just clean and get food ready. Taco bar, so it's easy and I can prep and put in crock pot.

So our governor just recommended 14 quarantine when coming back to the state. It’s just a recommendation but if I numbers keep climbing it will be required. So should I cancel my trip to my parents? It’s a 20 hour drive each way and we plan to just be at their house. Nothing else really.

chrisy01 I wouldn't. I feel like that is more about flying and coming into contact with more people. Since you are driving and only seeing your parents, I think it's fine. Assuming they've been taking the appropriate precautions as well

How are your parents dealing with precautions in OK? If they’re being good about it, I’d think you should be fine.

My dad really doesn’t go anywhere and my mom does but wears a mask and sanitizes everything when she gets home. So they have been good. I think I’ll keep an eye on it and see if the numbers go up. If they do I will not go because C can’t quarantine for two weeks after we get back.

It looks like they’ll be transferring my dad to a rehab facility. Both surgeons saw him yesterday and agreed, but it was before physical therapy came in and had him walking with his cane. Speech therapy never showed up to check his swallowing. He still has the drain on his face because there was more fluid in it yesterday. They sent the fluid to a lab to be tested. If it’s just saliva, its good news and they’ll probably take it out.

A case worker will call us today. If he goes where I requested, we might be able to see him outside for 15 min. But if they changed that policy because of the governors precautions, we could see him through a window.

I’m really glad I came. My mother also thanked me because there’s no way she’d be able to handle all of this in her own, especially since she can’t drive. I’m going to teach her how to use Uber before I leave. Pray for me...

Morning.

I woke up at 630 because my stomach was growling with hunger. I got up to eat something quick then tried to go back to sleep, but couldn’t so I got up for the day hoping to get through Grey’s before the boys woke up. M2 walked out about 30 mins after I got settled, so I’m making breakfast.

Today I have to clean the house and make sure I have everything I need for M’s birthday and the zoom party tomorrow. Might be a busy day, but I’m hoping MH will help a bit with the cleaning. He’s been waiting on a call from someone about a job and they called him while he was in the shower last night. The guy didn’t answer when he called back, so today will be more waiting around. I hope they get in touch early so he doesn’t have to babysit his phone all day. Seems like it could be something promising. FX.

I’m currently on hold with Disney+ and since I’ve been waiting for awhile I started to work on my home work. The class is officially in week 3 but I’m finishing up the last assignment in week 5. Just my final week assignments left to do, which are also the biggest and most complicated. I most likely will have to do some homework the week of thanksgiving.

I also need to start packing and do the meal planning and grocery shopping. I also have laundry to work on. I should also do some cleaning but let’s be honest, it most likely won’t get done.

Morning all.

I’ve taken a few vacation days this week to get a few things done in the house, figure out a new routine with B going to school, got my Christmas shopping mostly done and just enjoy some time alone with MH being gone. He was a lot before going on this ex and got the house in such a tizzy, I needed a breather.

B woke up at 4:50am after having a bad dream and got himself all worked up so wasn’t able to fall back asleep 🥴, hopefully the day goes ok but my expectations are a tad low. With B’s birthday today it’s low key with just decorating the house, I’ll take him to pick out a dessert, we’ll probably get take out for dinner, do presents and my Mom will come and spend the night.

We spent 4 hours on FaceTime with my sister and BIL last night and didn’t get to bed until 1am, so I’m tired! I already snuck in a nap and we have nothing on the agenda for the day. Probably order sushi for dinner and might make a mimosa soon... because what else is there to do in quarantine?

Hi ladies. Busy busy day her. Sinterklaas (think Santa) arrived in the country today. Somehow I got is stuck in my head that this would be our last day as a family of four and put way to much pressure on myself to make it a fun fun day! Which ended in completely hyped up kids, who wouldn’t stop bouncing of the wall (which is to be expected with Sinterklaas arrival) and me losing my cool big time... ds cried & I cried even more out of guilt. We cuddled, read stories, baked pepernoten, made a Sinterklaas tableau and had a dance party after, but I still feel guilty.

Busy morning. We ran some errands after gymnastics. I was also contemplating writing an email to the gymnastics coach over the lack of masks on so many parents. Cadence, however, decided she doesn't want to do gymnastics any more, so. Meh. When I email him about Cadence quitting I may still mention lack of mask enforcement.
We just finished lunch and Cadence wants rainbow sorbet, so we may go get some. I need to make her cupcake toppers for her party and put together the party favors. We're going with little makeup bags filled with fun face masks, lip gloss and nail polish. I also got the girls the Ty facemasks, just in case someone shows up without one.
My head is starting to hurt, so maybe I'll get a nap in.
