I’m at work. Trying to make sense of all the news yesterday. A lot of people were furloughed but at least no layoffs this round. It was a chilly walk in but my office is warm today unlike Monday so let’s see what the day brings.

Morning!
I told Josie she could sleep in and go to school late today but she got up only 20 later than usual so we were still early for school.
Charlie and MH are home today so I’m taking advantage and dropping things off at the thrift store and then I’m in search of a Christmas tree collar. I may have to order them from amazon/ Etsy but I’d really like to find one in person.

Morning! Headed to the office this morning after a phone call. It almost felt 'normal' to get up and shower and get dressed/makeup on. Like, this is what life used to be like!

Morning. It’s st. Maarten here, so the kids were al exited & hyped up, even though we’re not doing the traditional door-to-door walk. I’m writing adres labels for our birth announcements, Dutch tradition is to mail those within the first week after birth, so this is just one of those things which is nice to have done.

It’s Remembrance day here so I’m off work with the kids home. MH is headed out to the field today mid-afternoon for a couple weeks.
It’s chilly out so other then going out to fill the bird feeder I think it’ll be an inside day.

Morning.
I’m at work. The person who is out has a teenager that tested positive. Apparently there has been a lot of teens getting positive results because I just found out a few high schools in my area have gone fully virtual until the first of the year for now.
It’s rad tech week so it’s been nice to get free lunch. Today is BBQ. Monday we had CFA breakfast and Panera lunch. I was supposed to be eating better, but oh well. That can wait I guess. 🤷🏽♀️

Morning! It’s a surprise day off for me. Because I totally forgot that today is a holiday! So I’m enjoying getting caught up on some things after being gone for 5 days.
MH’s dads best friend is here for a few weeks staying with us to visit. He’s sort of the dad MH wished he’d had. That sounds terrible but FIL wasn’t (and still isn’t) the greatest dad. This guy doesn’t have any kids so he’s always treated MH like an honorary kid. His wife passed away a few months ago and he’s lonely, so we convinced him to come stay for a bit. But he’s got some health and memory issues. This morning he realized he forgot his toiletries bag and he forgot his bag with his pants, socks, and underwear. He is a big tall guy, and we don’t have any big and tall stores here. So we are going to go to Walmart later and hope we can find something that fits him. Lol. He may be wearing high water pants later.

I talked to my dad yesterday. He's really hard to understand but other than that he wasn't in any pain, just starving. He hadn't eaten since sunday night and they wouldn't give him anything until the on call doctor saw him. I asked him if he wanted me to call the nurse's station and he said yes.
So I call my mom to get the info and his patient code, so they'll talk to me. She flips out that she's already called them and there's nothing they can do. I told her I wasn't trying to make it seem like she wasn't doing anything, but maybe if more people harass them, they could ask the dr to see him next or something. Anyway, I call the nurse and attempt to bribe her &/or the doctor with cookies, chocolate, booze, whatever it takes to make the dr see him faster because he's starving.
The nurse called the dr and they started him on a liquid diet. Not ideal, but it's better than nothing. They needed to make sure he wouldn't have a hard time swallowing, vomiting after eating and the dr needs to examine him to look for any obstructions.
They said he's doing well and they'll probably keep him till Thursday.

I convinced the girls to start Twitches last night before we get too far from the Halloween mood because I like Tia and Tamera and have never seen it. As usual they were bitching about but then really liked it. We'll finish it today then see if we can go right to Christmas if I can find Mistletones streaming. I think it's Tamera in that one and we love it.
