yummeecookee and inthekitty yes, we have a lot of tile right now, and laminate 'wood' in the great room, living and dining rooms. Within the next couple years we want to replace it ALL with hardwood but I need something better than a Swiffer WetJet in the meantime, lol.

flamingo , just my two cents, but we have laminate "wood" that we put in upstairs and it's amazing. Two years later still looks brand new, cleans up nicely, shiny, beautiful color. Meanwhile our hardwood downstairs easily stains, holds in dirt, and never seems to be able to get as clean and shiny as I would like. I would switch to high-quality laminate in a heartbeat. ETA: I realize this is a UO, but I'm just not the biggest fan of hardwood. People praise it for being easy to clean, but mine is not.

Talk to me about steam mops...does anyone have one? There was a Bissell in the amazon sale that gets great reviews but sold out...but i found it elsewhere for the same price. Do I need it? What type of floors do you have? I want to vote no because mine is collecting dust, but if you mop often, it may be worthwhile. ETA: I just saw your floor types. Yep it would work with that. If you plan to use it for a few years, you may get your money’s worth. |

I’m actually prob in the minority nowadays bc most people are loving the ‘luxury vinyl plank’ or laminate, but I don’t care for them. The laminate that’s here *looks* nice (you have to get down on hands and knees to see it’s not wood) but I just don’t like the texture or sound of walking on it 🤷🏻♀️ |

Oh man, my kids just called me through Alexa in a panic to inform me it's the last day of Prime Day. They wanted to inform me the LOL Glamper Camper is on sale. They might have suckered me in. Possible Christmas gift.

Well, I never was excited about my laser appointments and today I was so much more on edge and tense. I had to apologize to the aesthetician and that spiraled into us talking about being anxious and her telling me how meds have helped her so much. I may be talking to my GYN next week about starting something. Last night I couldn’t fall asleep because I could physically feel how anxious I am in my chest.
I wish I was in a state where gummies and edibles were legal. 😩
I did the marketplace app for insurance today and we will have that option until we know our next move.

I’m now waiting for the pharmacy to fill the prescription. If the antibiotics don’t help I. 5 days then I get a real doctor appointment |

Thanks for the healthy cat thoughts! They gave him fluids, a prednisone dose (bc I couldn’t get him to take his pill here for the last two days), and a ten day antibiotic shot.
He came home and ate salmon and drank so he does feel better.
I’m hoping the blood work shows everything as normal or at least inconclusive like it did last year. A broad-spectrum antibiotic and a new food regimen pretty much brought him back to his old ways so fingers crossed.

We have a new babysitter coming on Friday; she's in high school and we met her at the block party this summer. She texted me tonight to ask if the kids have any allergies, b/c she wants to make some Halloween treats with them.

Evie did so good at her blood draw today. She was so nervous on the way there, but there were no tears shed for the 4 vials of blood taken.
Hopefully I hear back from her Dr soon with results and we can start meds Friday.

I started following gocleanco on instagram and they rec that mop used with water and tide powder. I am now deep cleaning in my spare time. I followed their instructions on cleaning my dishwasher and it looks fabulous..granted I did get a headache from the bleach. I have old hard wood floors and I use a knockoff norwex mop with water..and by "use", it is def not frequently enough. |

I have been distracted by Amazon and target. I got n a kids kraft modern dollhouse for $50! And on amazon I got a rainbow stacker for k, tegu blocks, a block puzzle thing, a nonstick pan, and some storage zipper bags. I tried getting the 12 set of disney dolls but it sold out.. I wanted a stick vacuum but I should just use my robot one more probably.
Costco also had some deals, I got some clothes and slippers there.

When we moved to VA I was terrible about using the Roomba...finally DH programmed it to run every weekday morning and it's really a game-changer. That was one of the first things he did when we moved here, ha. If I have to remember to turn it on, it probably won't happen! |

tallb I second what flamingo said re: programming your robo vac. Mine cleans the upstairs everyday at 5. I love Buddy and constantly thank him for his service. flamingo it really is nice that the girls are close enough in age and interests to do joint gifts for them. My sister and I are 7 years apart so that didn't happen. She was into Jordache jeans and Swatch watches while I was into Popples and Skip-it.

It took us a few years, but my youngest sister and I are almost seven years apart & we have so many common interests  . It really started with Harry Potter, I took her to out city’s premiere showing, she was 8 I was 15. It was followed by Narnia, Friends, gilmore girls, our love for (working with) children, the outdoors, camping etc. I really mis her . ETA joint gifts weren’t really an option, it was with me and my middle sister, but our interest were vastly different 😂. |
