I just got a pvc pipe and had to lay it on the floor to pay because it’s so big and awkward. A guy tripped on it while walking by and come back to move it for me and I’m like “omg I’m sorry it’s so long!” and he started smiling really hard and looking me up and down which made it awkward. i had a zoom meeting last week with my client and we were discussing a picture of a beaver. One of the comments was it's very wet looking and i just about lost it. Much professional of me. The beaver picture was actually work related, sometimes my work is weird Is it because you're in Canada?

If I'm being honest, I don't really trust the tests a lot. I've known a couple people who tested negative but had very clear covid symptoms. Even earlier in the summer months when other viruses are less common. Eta and then those people go back to daily life, even if they're still ill so what you are doing then?
I mean I am with you if you don't want to get tested fine if you stay home

I just ordered McDonald’s for lunch as a treat to the fam. Also because D2 got a cheeseburger sticker for doing her test and I’m just that susceptible to suggestion. 😁
I’m really achey now and in the tub. H is supposed to be in training for returning to work and it’s very not-ideal to miss a day, but we agreed I’ll rest as much as possible today in hopes I can do all the kid wrangling solo for however long we need to quarantine after today. I am feeling like general caca and he is just mildly miserable.

New doggo goes for his first heartworm treatment on Wednesday. Unfortunately he has started peeing in the house, but the heartworm could be leading to other issues. The doc thinks once it is clear, a lot of other things may clear as well. Good luck. Have you done heartworm treatment with a dog before? My rescue dog was in the middle of her treatments when we brought her home. The vet said she did really well after her shots, but she definitely felt very poorly and had her only accidents ever the day after her second set of shots. It’s really rough on them.

Let me help you make excellent coffee at home. I used to be scared of our espresso machine but then H moved across the country 3 months before me and i had to suck it up and learn

What you are saying is exactly why covid will continue to spread. Yes, you may have another virus, but you just as easily may have COVID-19 and are willfully going out into the world spreading it. I know it is futile trying to get you to understand this. Hopefully you don’t kill anyone! IMO your last line is out of line. There are plenty of people who have been participating in what some could consider risky behavior on the board and we don’t go around saying hope you don’t kill anyone. It’s completely in line and if anyone else came here openly symptomatic and tra la ing, they’d deserve it too. Going shopping or getting your nails done may not be my favorite thing right now, but it’s not comparable in the slightest.

We had a whole thread and nobody went this hard. I don’t know what her symptoms are, but her daughter just tested negative for covid I thought? Me? No we've never been tested. This is our first virus in a long time. DD had mild cold symptoms Saturday and they were gone by bed time Saturday evening. I had a scratchy throat last night which is gone and this morning very mild congestion. DH had a scratchy throat this morning and told his work who didn't care. My work does a screening and a temp check which I passed. I can isolate at my office and will continue to distance, wear a mask, and double down on the hand cleaning even more than before. Oh okay. That was sudsy. FWIW, I’ve woken up with a throat thing and some congestion and did not get tested because the weather is changing rapidly here. Allergies, etc too. It went away within the day. @everybody please do flame me as you’ve flamed olives.

MH and I had some disagreements yesterday and I'm still crabby about it today. Which is wonderful because it's the nanny's day off so I'm responsible for schooling the older two while corralling the younger two. It's going about as well as can be expected 😂🤦♀️ I'm dreading the quarantine scenarios this fall and winter will bring. I've worked at a number of companies and have never once had paid sick leave, so any time off for me or my kids to quarantine or be tested will be unpaid (minus maybe 2 weeks if I qualify for Families First leave?). MH and I are both essential and cannot work from home. And of course our state is a shitshow. What could possibly go wrong here?! And in defense of thatgolfb and her endless defending of lab tests, I can personally attest that sampler error accounts for sooooo many false negatives. If it's a nasopharyngeal swab test and the person who administers it fails to get a true nasophasyngeal sample, it's going to come back negative no matter what the lab does. We saw a lot of that here this spring.

Yeah I've had some major sinus headaches since spring, like quite often, plus additional tension headaches from staring a computer since we're not going out anymore at work.

H suggested we go Apple picking one of these weekends. The loving wife that I am, I called him basic and asked if we should pick up some PSLs and wear our best plaid attire.
And of course said I would love to do that. Because I am basic myself, and proud of it.

I used to be scared of our espresso machine but then H moved across the country 3 months before me and i had to suck it up and learn We have this one: m.sears.com/sowtech-sthm204-espresso-steam-machines-machine-3.5-bar/p-A045260432It's super basic, which makes me even more embarrassed to not understand it. It could be that H just sucks at teaching though. When grabbing this link I saw a bunch of how-tos for it that I can try. oh this looks really easy. Do you have a separate bean grinder? When you fill the filter make sure to heap on the grounds then tamp it down so it's level with the top of the filter, this helps build the pressure and squeeze out the flavour. Click it into place to hand tight then espresso away! for the milk, make sure you are using a small metal jug and steam it until it's too hot touch at the bottom. I'm terrible at pouring so i spoon the frothed milk on for cappuccinos, if not i end up with more of a latte

ETA and on the weekends I go to the grocery store. Car wash, target, etc. I get my nails done and my hair done. So no, I’m not 14 day quarantined after a sniffle.

If you state that you definitely have a “cold” (cold=virus) and let this message board know this really important fact in your life and also include in that same sentence that you are going to work and don’t want to quarantine and I happen to be reading that day, I promise to flame you too. It is pretty much saying “I have a contagious virus (my family have the symptoms too!! Hehe hahah) and there is currently a deadly viral pandemic going on but I know more than everyone else about everything so I’m going come on here and let these people know that I’m way smarter than everyone and so I’m going to work where I think it is unreasonable of my boss to request sanitizing the toilet after use and know that if she knew I felt like I had a cold I would be sent home but I’m super duper smarter than everyone and have secret inborn virus detectors that allow me to tell whether or not my virus is Covid so I’m not only smart but also special.” As if one is asking to be flamed. Hmm. Or something like that.

Mild cold symptoms... and a fever. Who had a fever? I didn't see that mentioned in this thread but as aforementioned in crabby and possibly but reading as closely. She didn’t say it today. But she did on Saturday.
