Quick question — can I just give up on diet and exercise and responsibility and try again next week? Will that help your mental health? Then, yes.

Sadly it probably wouldn’t. I’d just be all stressed and also feeling fat. And extra emotional Bc alcohol. Ugh.

I've walked by myself for 1-2 miles 3 out of the last 4 mornings. I hope this become a habit and that when it's rainy, I'll still be motivated to do the Walk at Home YouTube videos.

Terrible weekend healthy wise.
Today I walked 30 minutes at lunch at work and did stairs each time. Chloe ting grow butt not legs and two hip dip videos, including 100 squats in the place of lateral lunges (my knee hurts). But I couldn’t squeeze in the Tiny waist round butt today so I’ll do it tomorrow.
Protein shake, kale salad, apple, chili, gfdf cornbread.
Already at 8500 steps today, 16 flights of stairs, and 94 oz water.

Still doing pushups daily. I missed Sunday, but otherwise going strong. Food is not great. BUT S ordered a row machine! And also sand bags for workouts. I'm pretty excited.

How many push ups a day rugger? I try for at least 30, sometimes more. I have gotten to the point of being able to do 15 consecutive pushups, instead of the barely-10 consecutive I started at.

Has anyone ever taken carnitine? I think people use it for building muscles. But there is some new research that carnitine plus myo-inositol can be beneficial for pcos.

Throwing out this in case someone has dealt with the same issue - I've been trying to get out and walk on my lunch breaks, but I find during walks longer than 15 min or so, I start to get tightness/cramping and soreness on the outsides of my lower legs, like in a line from the side of the bottom of my foot to about halfway up my calf. The obvious answer is lose some weight since I've gained some and wasn't thin to begin with, but is there any more easy to attain relief? Maybe shoe inserts or special stretches? This is hampering my desire to take longer walks, which is the most accessible way for me to exercise during my lunch break

Dramaphile the first thing I would do is go to a running store. Have them evaluate your gait bc I am guessing that you over or under pronate. Certain shoes and inserts can help with that. And you don’t have to buy the shoes or inserts there. Just tell them thanks let me think about it. The second thing is where are you walking? Are you walking outside on uneven ground? That puts stress on your ankles. And speaking of ankles. Are your ankles straight when you walk? Or does your ankle cause your foot to sort of roll towards the inside or outside of your door? Those are my entirely unprofessional first thoughts.

They will watch the video and watch how your feet land and how your ankle react. The one I went to actually showed me the issue with my gait. They will properly fit your shoes and tell you what shoe will support you best. A well fitted and supportive (for your gait) shoe will help a ton for both walking and running. The first time you might drop some cash if you buy in store. But then you can watch for styles on sale.

I'm walking on pavement, so no issue with uneven ground, no idea on if my ankles are straight, I'm going to go with probably not. My knees have pointed inward since I was a kid so my feet naturally compensate by my feet pointing outward, so that's probably not helping either.

Ok, so is there a chance that it is cambered? Which means tilts to one side or the other. My old neighborhood was really hilly so the sidewalks were all wonky and tilty. But also, most roads tend to angle down towards the curb. So you are walking at an angle the whole time. That is very stressful on the ankles and calf muscles. Also though if your knees go one way and your feet overcompensate, that could be an issue too. Honestly I would say physical therapy is your best bet there. And then add in the right shoes and/or inserts. Sorry you are dealing with this. What a pain. (SWIDT?)

I think I’m going to take the plunge & sign up for a month of virtual fitness classes tomorrow. I know I don’t need to pay for a class in order to work out at home, but I’m hoping it’ll help hold me accountable. It’s so hard to get motivated.

Yesterday I finished day 25 of my chloe ting 25 day hourglass challenge (not completed in 25 days).. To be fair, I did not weigh or measure myself before or after. I’m really trying to phase those numbers out of my priority mindset. I also only dieted during the week and more than made up for it on the weekends. That being said, I did take before and after pictures. They aren’t what I pictured in my head of my success being. But I didn’t put in 💯 (re: diet.) But I can definitely tell that my legs and butt are more toned and my bra fat roll is less obvious. And I definitely feel a lot stronger. So that’s all awesome. I think I will try out a few more of her challenges.
But not today. Today is a rest day. 😜

I've woken up early for a solo walk twice this week. I'm having an extra sugary decaf coffee before bed every night though. Balance?

I got shoes! The guy at the store told me I was a challenge lol. I shift my weight to the outsides of my feet when I walk and I think I have flat arches. And wide feet. Ended up with a pair of Mizuno sneakers with an arch support insert and they're pretty comfy! I've never spent this much on sneakers, but I think they're worth it. I took the kids on a wagon walk yesterday and I did still have some leg pain but it seemed less bad? I'm not expecting miracles overnight. Going to try and get in a walk every day this week that it doesn't rain.

Got a cheesesteak for lunch because I am on my period and I was craving red meat. But I did walk around the outside of the building while I was waiting for it, so that's something.
