Girrrrrlll. flamingo eye rolls to SIL. She really does thing the world revolves around her, huh? Yup. We went to her the last two times we’ve seen them—last spring and at Xmas. Since we’ve moved we’re even closer, and she still can’t be bothered. Thankfully DH has a sense of humor about it.

Major eye roll flamingo. My girls love charades too. We play versions of it when we play Cranium and Heads Up. I highly recommend Heads Up because since it's a phone app you can play it anywhere.

joelies It’s good to hear your dad is doing well. Sorry you are feeling unsettled about the immediate future. I’m so scared to have hope about the election because the potential let down will be devastating.

DH is at work so it’s just me and the kiddos. My dryer conked out (it works but no heat) so I had to take a couple loads over to my sister’s to dry. She’s out of town so we left everything and went for ice cream, then came back. Now we’re having pizza and a game night; we’ve been playing Charades (we have a version with pictures so C can join in). The kids love it. They’re already bathed so hopefully I can get them in bed on time and enjoy some quiet. That’s what keeps happening to my dryer. You can buy the parts cheap on amazon and the tutorials on YouTube are pretty straightforward if you or your H want to try and tackle it.

Hey. Today was somewhat busy. DH worked this morning and then after he got home I was working on some things out in my garden. I cleaned up then went to Aldi for some groceries. Then this afternoon we went to the IL’s house because a bunch of MIL’s family was in town so we ate dinner and visited. I’m tired and ready to go to bed. wineallthetime do whatever you want to do. He screwed up so he can deal with the consequences. joelies I’m glad you got to visit with your brother and SIL and that your dad is doing well.

She uses her 4 kids as an excuse as to why she can't drive that far. You know how far it is? 45 minutes!!! Bil and sil have lived in the same house for 2 years and her sister has been there 1 time.

And another weekend, another client issue. I haven't had a weekend fully off since before Memorial Day. I don't love it but DH just doesn't get that dealing with this stuff is expected of my role. It's definitely caused some added stress that I don't need.

I remembered you fixing yours and was wondering if it was the same thing. I believe this will be covered under the home warranty but no telling when we’d get someone out with the holiday and you still pay for the service call, so we may attempt to figure it out ourselves. This dryer came with the house and is a nice one, only 2 years old, but they had 6 kids so I imagine her machines got more use in 2 years than mine did in 6 😆

flamingo our dryer broke this weekend too, so I commiserate. Only our powered on and then nothing. Turned out the thing that makes the drum spin broke off. 😒 Annoying. And of course you typically don’t realize it until you’ve got a load of wet laundry to dry!

I bought a new hose and I haven’t had an issue since. The old one was a lot longer and I think there was a kink in it. The thermostat blew (which is the part I always have to replace along with one other thing I can’t think of what it’s called) and I think it’s because it was getting too hot because it wasn’t venting properly.

It hit a 111 degrees today and it’s suppose to be hotter tomorrow. My AC struggled to keep up but it was better then outside and it didn’t get any hotter then 79. Then Monday it cools down to 93. Hoping it gets cooler so the kids can play outside.

Yes, DH did try that. We were hopeful that was the problem bc the connection bn the hose and the dryer was very loose, but no luck. That was all he had time for before he had to head to work. And yes, YouTube suggested thermostat and heat regulator (?) iirc, as possible issues. Maybe that was it?

Morning. My parents are coming home from vacation today, it’ll be nice to have them around again. I visited my grandma today for the first time in months, we sat outside and we kept distance of course, but I was good to see them. I had to swat my grandma away from the kids a few times, she just wanted to hug them. I almost forgot Ds has to bring flowers to school tomorrow, so I made a quick stop at the supermarket, luckily they had sunflowers still.

Our state fair is usually amazing, but it's canceled like everything else in 2020. However they are doing drive thru fair food so today my goal is Fiesta corn on the cob and an elephant ear.

Morning! We had a great time at my sister's house yesterday. The back of their yard is all dirt right now and A had the BEST time playing in it. That kid loves dirt. I'm at work now. MH decided to visit his parents today instead of tomorrow so I don't have to deal with that since I'm working until 6.

Morning! ‘Fiesta corn on the cob’ sounds amazing inthekitty, off to google. I’m clearly broken bc I don’t love elephant ears/funnel cakes/similar; I do like beignets, though, so I guess I’m a walking contradiction. We just got the new rug put down in the dining room and it’s a much-needed improvement. Of course I am basically the mouse from ‘If You Give a Mouse a Cookie’ because now I want moooaar. Sorry, DH. I think we might order light fixtures this weekend bc they are on sale (also much-needed). DH is working again tonight and the kids are already clamoring for something to do, our pool is booked up but maybe we can use my parents’.

flamingo not weird it’s about crunch to soft ratio. I like beignets better then funnel cakes.

Hi.
Work was light this morning and I got out of there early. Made my grocery run and now I’m just trying to chill out for a bit. Nothing much on the agenda for the rest of the day.
M’s temp never rose, but he is still stopped up and is in a MOOD. How many hours until bedtime? 😩

Morning all.
Woke up and decided I’d clean all 9 window frames/tracks because I hate myself 😭.
I’m never doing this again.

lahdeedah glad his temp never rose and I hope by tomorrow he's back to normal. I feel the same way about waiting till bedtime. And lately B has been taking forever to fall asleep and being a real pain. Then he's been sleeping late in the mornings which continues the cycle of falling asleep late. I know I need to just wake him early to break the cycle but he is such a bear to get out of bed. MH work trip got cancelled (or, actually shortened) so he's home now and just going for a day on Tuesday. Which is nice b/c my patience is at a -1 so it's good to have some back up. He ran to the grocery store like 2.5 hours ago (why do men's errands always take so long!) and when he returns we'll get ready and go to the pool. Tomorrow we are heading to the pool then BBQing with our bubble friends.

Finished cleaning the house and prepping for the play date. Hopefully E naps through most of it. She gets angry she can’t play the games with the bigger kids.

Funny/annoying story: I had two people yesterday tell me they heard my work was moving to Texas. Yeah, that’s a big no. It’s kind of hard to move that kind of operation. inthekitty I think you might get a laugh

Picked up a grocery order, pot roast is in the crock pot, and mh just took Cadence to FIL's. I need to write a book review, but I may push it until tomorrow or later tonight.
