Operation Paci: still a success. Fussed a little after bedtime for a minute or two but settled on her own instead of a bajillion and a half meltdowns. Two regular wakeups at 12 and 4, fed back to sleep per the doctors orders. Slightly unusual: woke at 5:30, brought her into my bed for an extra feeding and cuddles until 6. So no crazy meltdowns.  Coincidence? Maybe. But I'll take it. I'm hoping that if she puts on enough weight and stays on her curve I start dropping the motn feedings, her appointment is at the end of the month so fingers crossed! I feel super social and will take the rest of the week off. Corner neighbor came to circle time yesterday and one of my circle time "friends" who I always hang out and talk with there but never exchanged numbers did too. She hadn't been there in a couple months. Then today I've invited my friend with the 3 month old to the arboretum today for a long walk. Off to see the goats!

Lakes,You're crushing this being social stuff, send me some of your motivation. otepoti, I love that pic, such sweet little guys! I'm having a hard time getting moving today, the kids seem to be less sick but I just can't recover. One more week until vacation so I better be feeling better by then.

Busy working and pumping. B has a cold and has been fussy. I'm half expecting a call from daycare to pick him up. Fx he makes it through the day.

It's a sad day in the Blume house. Baby A has started sitting up and shifting her weight forward a bot while in the RNP. My life is basically over now that i can't put her in that thing anymore.

neekoneeko today's friend I've known for 7 years so she doesn't count. Which is good because all three kids took their turns melting down! My real secret is in the spoiler because the F bomb is in it. It's like when your single and can't find someone to date but as soon as you get serious with someone, everyone at the bar starts hitting on you.

I'm so sorry for your loss. We too have been grieving our beloved RNP. Life is not as easy without it for sure.

otepoti how adorable!!! Lakes that's awesome getting out and being social. I am t is something I really struggle with and need to be better about. Q has been so constipated, he finally pooped this morning but he was having some difficulties. I decided to call the pediatrician and she recommended giving him more water everyday. I am crossing all my fingers that this will help.

We use the exersaucer in its place for being occupied. Rnp has straps right? Maybe those will help get a few more weeks out of it

Speaking of baby gear, I'm so close to getting rid of the playmat and bouncer. I can taste the slightly less clutter freedom.

When do we start introducing sippy cups? I feel like I blacked this out of my memory because I bought like a gazillion different kinds for DD and she hated them all.

With my big girl, we started with sippy cups, but they were nearly impossible for her to get water out of! i can't remember which ones we tried, or how long it took for her to catch on.

ellabee, yessssss I am so excited! Just a few more days!!! The rnp and swing are still just sitting about downstairs even though we can't really use either any more. Now he just get stashed in the sit me up seat when I need to set him somewhere for a bit, or on his belly.

But the high chair needs to come down soon. The swing was my first on the "up to the attic" list. Til she took a nap in it the other day 😩

I swear I didn't do sippy cups and water until a year, basically right before we introduced cows milk. Unless I'm totally baby braining here? Help?

I really only use the bouncer if she's chilling in the kitchen with me but she's not a huge fan anymore and would prefer to roll around the dining room.

She seems to not mind being in one place, sits for a long time unassisted, or chatters to her animals, but HATES rolling. I put her on her belly at lactation circle today, she threw a fit about it but refused to roll over 🙄. She can. She just won't.

I thought I was doing a wonderful job narrating Lake's Cooking Show. Sighs.

On the subject of sippy cups the cup I linked earlier has two nipples it comes with, a bottle nipple, and a sippy nipple. I don't think it shows it in the link.
I am also feeling some mommy guilt that I didn't realize Q needed more water, and that was the reason for his tummy troubles.

B just pushed himself up from tummy to sitting. I'm not ready for this. Where did my baby go?!
