I ran the past three days so I took an active rest day and did a 10 minute core with Becs followed by 30 minutes of beginner yoga with my favorite, Chelsea. It was just from this past weekend so she kept talking about Chadwick Boseman. It left me kind of bummed out but I still love her classes.

I went out and ran 20 minutes this morning (nearly 22, to get in the full 2 miles). It was nice, but I totally spaced on putting my mask on before I left so I ended up taking all these weird detours to avoid people. It's done at least. Not sure what else is on deck for today. Yoga or a walk would be nice. It's pizza night, for sure!

I put BBM on hold for last week since the kids were home. I'll start back up today, it's the first week of phase 3 and I hope I don't die 🤞

I signed up for a virtual Texas Food Run challenge, and I had to walk/ride/bike 180 miles in 6 weeks. Today is the final day, and I need 6 miles to finish. I think I'm going to run those tonight, and then stretch and take a long epsom salt bath.
I'm also pretty pumped I still managed to finish 180 miles in 6 weeks with my bum ass knee.

oh also, i did get a hill workout in and holy moly. i guess i uh, needed this type of workout. i'll be doing it weekly. i'm just running up a looooooong stretch of hill a few times and walking back down and hoping to improve each week. so scientific. much measurable. Hills are Friday this week for me. Much DNW.

byjove, tell me more about Noom if you don't mind. Is it counting points, calories, etc? It seems like you and @icedtea are having good results. I've tried a couple other things at this point (macros, MyFitnessPal, probably something else I'm forgetting) and Noom is the only one I've really been able to stick with for months and be happy with. For me personally it works because: - there are a set number of things to do each day (the lessons) and so I don't worry that I'm doing it "wrong." - you're logging calories, but not the specifics. They code for according to colors, but no food is "bad." I used to get so stressed about logging food perfectly so I'd have the exact right percentage of potassium or whatever, but it doesn't matter here and that takes a huge load off. - it uses CBT methods and other psych stuff to really drive home that good has no morality to it. So it hasn't triggered my disordered eating. It's pretty perfect for a type A, super anxious, former ED person such as myself. I do like their mental approach for things. Their tracking system is not for me, but the other stuff was decent.

The monthly cost depends on how many months you sign up for at a time. If you do it monthly it's $60/mo, or $99 every 2 months, $129 every 3 months, and so on. They have a two week free trial. That’s not too bad!

@icedtea , what did it look like once you hit your goal weight? I'm curious how the goals/lessons transition. Hopefully I'll be there by the end of September! I will agree that I've liked it, and I think a lot of the CBT can be applied to life and not just food. Like the "oh well" and turning failures into "I've learned." I'm trying to use them with my kids (and husband) in the day to day of life.

Congratulations cnf! I love that squishy face. Enjoy all those sleepy newborn snuggles. So good. I had a bad week last week. I had my period and just was really unmotivated for some reason. So I did a Cody 2000s ride today and it was good, but I am definitely sort of on a reset of sorts.

Pretty good day today. Meal prepped for the week Skinny taste taco salad, skinny taste carmelized onion, red pepper and zucchini frittata and some snack bento boxes I saw on Clean Food Crush. Workout today was Insanity Max 30 Sweat Fest. Working this week on getting my portions back on track.

Today is an active recovery day so I did 10 minutes of Standing Yoga with Kristin after work and then... proceeded to take a nap. I’ll also be taking a leisurely walk with MH later. Now that the temps are better, we’re trying to make evening walks a habit. I especially love walking by houses all lit up at night. Not a creeper, I swear.

I did a 30 minute HIIT ride of Robin’s and it was so hard! Definitely the hardest I have worked in a while.

So I suck at front squats. The football bar is either ok or sucks, depending on which grip I use. I'm really fucking bad at sets of 10-15 (I knew that one though).
Yay.

I’m attempting to set myself up for success tomorrow and get back into the habit of tracking macros the day before. This week is relatively easy because I work a regular day shift and not super early (I find it so much harder to not eat more those days because I start eating at 4:30 out of necessity, plus lack of sleep decreases my willpower). Tomorrow is a higher fat and lower carb day (didn’t particularly plan on that, it just worked out that way).
B: cinnamon raisin bagel with Greek cream cheese, coffee with creamer
S: string cheese
L: Trader Joe’s cod Provençal frozen meal
D: imperfect Apple Gouda sausage, air fried broccoli, TJ’s creamy polenta
S: chocolate protein shake with frozen cherries
Workout TBD, hopefully doing some strength stuff after work. Wednesday I plan to wake up early for a ride. I need to get back into the habit of early morning workouts, I am so much more motivated to do them than after work! At least for cardio.
