I’m not sure where else to vent this nervousness, so I’m coming here. I started Noom in early July with the goal of losing 20 lbs (thanks weaning and covid). I’ve only got 8 more pounds to go! I was away at the beach this week and was tracking calories and foods and making decent choices (we were also very active!), but I didn’t have a scale and I am nervous/curious what it is going to say in the morning 😬 Don’t stress or be surprised if it’s up (especially more than you hoped/expected). You’re still doing great and working hard! I was down a pound exactly from last Sunday! We were doing so much running around and my legs were so sore every night, I was going to be a bit disappointed if I had gone up.

byjove, tell me more about Noom if you don't mind. Is it counting points, calories, etc? It seems like you and @icedtea are having good results.

today will be day one of intervals for some speed training. for some unknown reason i did not feel comfortable doing them in the dark? i'm going to basically be staying in one area, so in my head that's less safe than a big circle. so i'll be doing them between now and lunch time after i finish some work things.
also, my period started last night. 4 days early. WTF? i usually have 28 day cycles and this one was randomly 24 days? why would that happen??

byjove , tell me more about Noom if you don't mind. Is it counting points, calories, etc? It seems like you and @icedtea are having good results. I have been pretty happy with Noom- I've been doing it just about 2 month now. It is calories, though I find it really easy to log them in the app and like the app overall. You get about half your exercise calories back each day. Each day there are a few quick lessons you read- mostly focusing on why you behave around food and the way you do and building a toolkit of strategies to manage/overcome. A lot of their lessons are common sense, and rooted in science. This week my lessons have been about learning how other parts of the world eat, and exploring different types of diets (low carb/keto, paleo, vegan and different basic recipes for each style to try, and pros/cons of each type) which I have found interesting. It's very much find what works for you- there is no specific right or wrong. I don't really have anything to compare it to though, so take that with a grain of salt. I tried WW right after DD1 (7 years ago) and it was kind of pointless since I was still nursing and found logging food difficult, so made it about 3 days on that.

I just finished 35 minutes of Peloton rides. Scale was still up this morning but I was also spotting a bit so looks like hormones might be messing with me. It’s been fall weather the past week and all of my pants and long leggings are fitting better than they were a few months ago so it’s all good👍🏻
I go back to school tomorrow for two days of PD and then teaching start full time next week. I need to figure out my new exercise schedule, I’ve been spoiled being home the past 6 months!

I did splurge after the silent alarm stopped working on my VA3 and I'm now the proud owner of a Vivoactive 4S. Pretty. Shiny. New toys are fun.

Yesterday was my 1 year anniversary of my peloton being delivered! I went back to look at stats and I am super happy with how the year turned out. Gold activity & mileage badges every single month and a total of 4,766km over the course of the year.
I am in week 2 of the PZP challenge today and am going to try to plan out a strength program in conjunction with the challenge.

I thought mine came 10 days early but then naturally when we were OOT this weekend the real one came 4 days late and I had nothing with me. So every 2 weeks. This is fun.

I think its tied to my meet prep, or is just random. We'll see.

We'll see. i'm with you. i might have moments of panic, but i think i'd be able to convince myself that it's just a wonky cycle or something. if it continues or anything feels off, i'd definitely call to ask if i were you. even the most empathetic husbands will never truly understand female problems like this.

I did 3.5 miles on the treadmill. I did Matty’s 20 minute 2010 run, which was fun. He cracks me up - he apologized to a first time runner for being weird and then said “it’s kind of my brand” lol. I also did a Bec’s 10 minute cool down run, which I did at a steady pace.

oh also, i did get a hill workout in and holy moly.
i guess i uh, needed this type of workout. i'll be doing it weekly. i'm just running up a looooooong stretch of hill a few times and walking back down and hoping to improve each week. so scientific. much measurable.

Late workout today because I had the kids home this morning. They're off to a doctor's appointment with MH and I just completed three Peloton workouts: 30min intervals and arms ride w/ Cody, 15min Pop ride w/ Cody, and 10min arms w/ Cody. Obviously I was in a very Cody mood.
Have I mentioned here yet how good Cody looks lately? I feel like he has really leaned out and he looks super fit. He's just the cutest.
