I didn't have any explicit goals for July, but I worked out on the Peloton for at least thirty minutes every day for the entire month!
August goals, I'd like to add in more meditation and yoga. Let's say at least 2 times a week for both.

This morning I did a 30 minute ride. I saw you on pearbear, but I started a little later than the live classes so I did Cody's intervals and arms from last week. The pink hair, LOL! I followed that up with a 30 minute intermediate yoga flow with Dennis, which felt really good! My neighbor is doing really loud yardwork and I felt really annoyed about it until I remembered my AirPods are noise-cancelling. Life-changing.

I totally forgot it was August.
I started with a PR on my 45 minute Peloton ride this morning, so that’s a great start to the month!
July goal was just to maintain a certain amount of activity during the week, eat okay, and maintain my sanity. I accomplished that. We finally rolled out 6 new tests at work that I built the software portion for for. Software builds for the lab information system are not something I ever thought I would be doing, but I have learned a lot, and I feel great to have that done.

Five miles walk/running this morning. Weather is way too fucking hot for my taste and I cry to remember how easy this same route was five months ago, but I finished it!

Actually posting should be my goal this month! Long term goals are to complete a virtual 10k in October and pr a virtual 5k in November. Did about 4.5 miles this morning. The first half hour was a Peloton 5k training session and I was toast when it was done. cnf I know the struggle of being VERY pregnant in August, and you’re a rockstar for being so active!

I’m enjoying reading all your goals! We can do this ladies! My goals are to: Continue working towards biking 800 miles this summer stretch more, try yoga and add in some light lifting at home ( GhoatMonket ‘s video & calendula ‘s pic from last month motivated me.) I was going to weigh myself this am but it’s CD1 so no thanks to that, my weight stays pretty consistent but it’s been awhile since I checked. I officially put my gym membership on hold since I’m not comfortable going. Boo.

July went pretty well, I think. There were a few days where I didn’t get much movement but overall I’m happy with it- I worked out most days, got lots of movement, and upped my protein and veggies ( although there’s still room for improvement). I’m aiming for August to be much of the same, with improved protein and veggies, and increasing my running mileage slowly. Basically, keep moving and don’t die.

I did 2 30-min total body strength peloton workouts today. I haven’t gotten as many steps as usual, but the day isn’t done. Food has been good so far but we’re getting take-out tonight and wine will be had, but it’s Saturday and I’ve earned it.

I did mostly ok in July, but alcohol crept back in more than I would like. I'm not going to say I am going cold turkey until after my meet, but drastic cut back. Need to keep going with decent food choices.
Today's workout wasn't great, but we were also up late drinking (not the best choice). I had a team meeting after which was nice.

July was not a great month. At the beginning of the month I hurt my shoulder and at the end of the month my back pain decided to flare up. I’m going to start PT next week so hopefully that will help me move past these injuries.
When I did manage to workout it was great! I’m still really enjoying my fake Peloton.
Goals for August: More water More stretching Do a core workout every day Keep up with biking 3-4 days per week Add in more strength training Stay healthy!

My July started strong but sort of petered out a little at the end. I’m currently about halfway to my weight loss goal, but Im going to shift my focus this month to trying to get faster and stronger in order to get into the groove of enjoying working out (and hopefully my weight can take care of itself).
Goals: peloton run at least 2-4 days a week (try to get at least 5 miles one of those days). I’m going to do the crush your core program this month too. Mix in some bootcamp and rowing (I’m trying the 30 day free trial of the Hydrow app, but using our water rower).
Drink more water.

I meditated, did physical therapy, and did a pretty decent foam rolling session today.
Tomorrow is my rest day. I might foam roll, but probably not. I am planning on meditating.

I just did a 30 minute power walk with Selena. It was all hills. I always underestimate the walking classes and I finished with over 2 miles. I did a 5 minute post stretch and I'm hoping to do a foam roll class in a bit. I'm so unbalanced it's crazy, despite all the stretching and yoga I've been doing.
Food today will be something for breakfast (?) left over pizza for lunch, salmon salad for dinner.

30 minute pop ride with Cody 30 minute arms and shoulder bootcamp with Adrian Going to add core and yoga at nap. I finished and had to head right to swim lessons with DD. I am sweatingggg.
We finally picked a floor for our workout area. We went with a rubber tile that’s meant for garages. We were able to get a box at our local Lowe’s and lay it out. I have to head to another Lowe’s after lessons to get the rest today. We rearranged things AGAIN but it looks great so far. Hopefully we will have it finished tonight.

I did Hannah C’s 20 min Rock live ride + Wilpers’ 10 min Cooldown Run (to finish off Week 5 of my the Road to the 5k program. I added a few extra minutes to get in a mile and then did a few minutes of strolling in the nice, cool breeze. Yes, I said “cool.” 😉
I added on Matty’s 5 min post-run stretch, which felt really good.
Hope everyone has a great day!

I’ve meditated and did a couple minutes of foam rolling, but just barely enough to maintain the progress I made yesterday. I can’t really do active recovery - for me, to reduce injuries I need a day where I do nothing, and that includes things like foam rolling. But I recover slower, make progress slower, and my injury rate is sky high thanks to my physical issues, so I get that I’m not typical.
I’m doing ok on protein intake today. I’m way behind on salt intake, though, so I need to fix that. I’ve been awake a few hours and am only at 3.4 grams so far (I need 5-10g of salt a day - 5g is the absolute minimum).

I'm determined to try at least one mommastrong video today. Trying to start small. I tend to go overboard 😬 All these names y'all mention, are those peloton folks? Most of the names are Peloton instructors, although I think a couple of people use Beachbody or another service. But most of us are Peloton cult members.

Today was an active recovery day. I did 2.5 easy miles on the treadmill, walking and jogging on an incline.

Ran for a second day in a row, which is extremely out of character for me. I needed a change in scenery so I drove to the nearby nature preserve and did 4 miles on a paved canyon trail and 1.5 miles on a dirt hiking trail. It was so shady and cool, and the scenery did wonders for my mood. Definitely going to need to make the effort again soon.

I need to go here again. I can't remember the last time I've participated in these threads and you all are always so motivating and encouraging.
I've gained an embarrassing amount of weight with everything going on and am finally motivated to do something about it.
This past week I've cleaned up my eating and tracked my food, worked out 6 days, drastically increased my water intake, and cut out alcohol. It's only been 7 days but I can already tell a difference and my mood and mental health have been so much better. I have so much more energy too so I am going to stick with what I'm doing and hopefully hit some weight loss and fitness goals along the way.
August goals: -track food daily -drink 100 oz+ water daily -workout 5-6 days per week -start running again
