Never thought I would say this, but I had a really good run! I set out to walk/do intervals (because burpees and burst today). I said eh, I’ll run till I get tired. Otis Redding came on my play list and it was oddly comforting, so I just kept going.
I was laying in the grass after to stretch and the neighbor kid calls out “are you okay Mrs. Flanders?!” Yeah, ok. Just dying. Already dead. Thanks for asking. 🤣

I did a quick 7 miles this morning. Much nicer run with some of the humidity blown out after the storm. B: smoothie bowl with frozen banana, frozen acerola, collagen powder, whey and topped with muesli, blueberries, almonds and some PB S: onebar I found a smores flavor at TJs yesterday!!! So excited to try it. L: turkey sandwich and an apple D: grilled salmon, mango salsa, coconut rice with shredded kale Things you say while training for a marathon and no other time: “I ran a quick seven miles this morning ..” Way to be a badass runner!

I tried not having the leaderboard up for my ride earlier and I really liked it actually. I still pushed myself and felt like the ride went faster when I wasn’t so preoccupied with where I was in the rankings.

I'd like to win the lotto so I can just stop working, I am beat and drained.
HOWEVER, I got in some solid cardio today. 30min Ally Pop ride (red sports bra, hot pink pants) and jesus it was hard. So much resistance! Followed by Cody's 20min pink hair pop ride. I love that man so hard.
Then I got a wild hair up my ass and did a Rebecca Kennedy 45min hip hop run outside and killed it. My legs are barking right now!

I did Olivia's 30 minute Ellie Goulding live ride this afternoon and it was so fun! I was only three points behind my PR but I decided at the end to actually do the cool down instead of cranking up the resistance just for those last three points in the last 10 seconds. Still happy with the ride! It's nice seeing my regular output steadily climbing.
Afterwards I tried a 20 minute upper body strength on the floor with Robin instead of an arms toning on the bike. It was great, but I need heavier weights. I did it with 4lbs and it was not enough. For comparison, Robin was using 15lb weights.
Tomorrow I will try to do yoga after spin, I am always glad when I take the time.

abs how do you like the IC4? They just came in stock at my local Dicks, and I’m tempted to order it. What do you use to stream the workouts? Can you still see your stats if you stream on the tv via fire stick or only if you use an iPad or iPhone? I love it! I’ve done about 30-40 rides now with no problems. Just be careful about putting on the pedals. They can be tricky. For the price though it can’t be beat. It’s compatible with Peloton as long as you have an iPhone or iPad. You can see your cadence by syncing it up. It has a HR monitor you can use for getting zones but I just use my Apple Watch. I’ve never tried streaming it on my fire stick but I know you can. If I didn’t already have a watch and iPad I probably would have just gotten the Peloton but since I do the ic4 is great. I wanted flexibility to try out other programming as well. Thanks! I do have an Apple Watch but our iPad is like a million years old (I think it’s like the 2nd generation). I think I want the peloton, so I’ll probably wait. We are starting a kitchen reno and I got a new car sort of recently so I think I need to try to spread out any other big purchases.

Bench and deadlift day. Moved around my foot set up a bit on bench to try to keep my butt on the bench. Couple fails, couple worked but then caused other issues. I think I found a better one so I will try it on Saturday.
Deadlifts went well. Had a little bit of a fight to stand all the way up (the suit is stupid tight) but pulled 200 kg (440 lbs) pretty easily. That ties the best I have pulled in a meet.

B- Dave's bagel w/cc, coffee L- salami, turkey, cheese, spinach sandwich D- spaghetti w/turkey meatballs S- munched on apples, grapes, carrots cucumbers, and tomatoes all day on the beach

That’s seriously amazing, GhoatMonket! I can’t imagine ever lifting that kind of weight. I was all proud to have moved up to 20lb for arms 😂

I am PMSing like woah, so I woke up in a terribly crabby mood. I popped a CBD gummy, on top of my daily softgel, and just worked out my frustration via a Peloton ride. I think the workout has already helped.
I finished off week 4 of the Plelothon this morning w/ Leanne's 30min ride, then a 10min cool down ride and finally Aditi's Pelothon meditation.
I am so so bad at meditating, it's almost comical. My mind is all over the place. I have heard you can improve with practice, so I hope that making it a more regular thing will help.

I’m finishing Cody’s recent intervals and arms and will follow up with a 15 minute ride of some kind. Maybe low impact. I don’t feel like getting out of the saddle. I’m just glad I got out of bed to work out lol.

Good morning!
I had a 20-min Recovery Run with RK on deck this morning and it went so, so well. Mile 1 was in the 12s, Mile 2 (well, 0.6) was in the 11s so I was very happy about that, especially as I was listening to her that this was meant to feel easy (easier, anyway) and not to worry about speed. I almost gasped when she announced it was time to cool it down and really felt like I could have kept on going and had just that littlest bit of "runner's high." I have one more run and then I'll be finished with the Road to the 5K program. I'll plan to run a 5K as the "final" workout in the program and use that as my baseline for this year.
It was in the low 60s so that definitely helped all the way around, especially with allowing me to push more without feeling like I was pushing all that much, and it was really nice to see my numbers where I was hoping to at this point in getting back into running. I see the temps will be back on the rise again in a few days from now but I'll just have to suck it up and deal.
I added on Matty's 10-min Glutes & Legs (8/3). It was all squats with a little bit of heel raises thrown in so if you love squats, you'll love this workout. I rounded out with a 5-min post-ride stretch with Leanne (7/11).

I ran 4 this morning and was going to do a full body workout but decided to move that to tomorrow instead. I'm racing a half on Sunday, so I have an extra rest day built into the weekend and thought it would be OK to push the lifting to tomorrow as I was running out of time this morning.
B: nonfat plain greek yogurt, almonds, muesli, blueberries cherries and a little honey drizzle. S: onebar L: grilled chicken, cucumbers, lettuce and some goddess dressing S: apple D: grilled haddock, corn on the cob, sauteed summer squash

I did day three of the 100 MM it was core. Easiest so far and my legs and arms are killing from the last two days so it was a nice break from those.
Will have a protein shake soon. Yogurt later on. Not sure what dinner will be. Something with ground turkey.

I did the Jess Sims 30 minute pop run this morning. cnf, you were not kidding about the hills! My daughter got up early this morning and talked to me while I ran. I love that she loves to spend time with me, but man, a little part of me was disappointed that my “me time” wasn’t totally mine.

Checking in. Did a 30 minute Pop ride with Hannah and 10 minutes arms with Leanne yesterday afternoon. I’m still without power so it was again in the dark in the basement but I pushed myself. I hate guessing cadence and resistance but I try to measure against the trainers pace. FUN TIMES!

I get so annoyed when my kids are all up in my business when I'm working out. Me time, be gone heathens! Also, not sure the age of your daughter, but keep her away from your treadmill while you're running! We're two months into the hell that is a treadmill injury with my littler one with no light at the end of the tunnel. It's been a horrible never ending nightmare.

Everyone here is killing it!
I'm taking it easy this week. Another quick 5K this morning, and I'm planning on a 20 minute Peloton app ride and a 10 minute strength session later.

I keep hoping that taking my dumb ass dog on a walk/run every day would make him be better on a leash. He's used to walking every day, but the running/jogging is new to him. Nope, he's still a jerk. He about pulls me off my feet whenever he sees a cat or a deer.
B: Coffee w coconut milk; butternut squash ginger soup AM snack: cowtail candies (whoops) L: big ass salald with a grilled chicken patty on top D: Rock fish with some sort of side E: another walk/run tonight - may also try to go for a walk over lunch

Imagine my dismay when I walked into the gym today and saw it was leg day, not arm day like I thought it was. My legs (mainly my hip flexors) were a bit sore from yesterday, so I didn’t lift as much as I normally would. Still a good workout though. Macros look good, made room for smoked ribs tonight so I am excited for dinner!

I’ve meditated and done physical therapy every day this week. I haven’t been doing a great job keeping up with foam rolling, though.
