jorkzyThanks! Honestly I thought intuitive eating was just eat when hungry and don’t eat when not so clearly I have no idea ha. I guess I just meant I was not going to focus on a “diet” and just try to make the best choices and only eat when hungry and not bored.

I started my free Peloton app trial today, I am now one with the cult. Just a junior member, though, I don’t own a treadmill or bike, and no plans to get one. If anyone has recommendations for no-equipment cardio or HIIT workouts, I’d love to hear them! All I have at home is a mat, no hand weights. I did a 20-minute cardio workout this morning I really enjoyed, then my 5yo and I did a 15-minute family one that was fun too. I think all of the dance cardio and HIIT cardio are no-equipment needed. Some recent ones I've done are Matty's 10 min Britney Spears HIIT Cardio (7/15) and Olivia's 10 min HIIT Cardio (7/13). For strength, you can filter by bodyweight (155 classes at various lengths currently). A recent fave is Robin's 20 min Bodyweight Strength (7/28). You can also forego the weights even for those workouts where dumbbells are featured or use things like water bottles as weights, especially for upper body. I use 2 lb weights for my arms/shoulders workouts and it feels easy for about 5 seconds before the burn kicks in and I'm glad they're only 2 lb weights.

Last night's run/walk was so slow - it was just a slog. But I did it!
B: breakfast burrito on a crepini wrap with beans, eggs, and ground turkey AM Snack: caramel M&Ms L: big ass salad with ham on top PM Snack: chili lime pistachios D: sloppy joes over sweet potato tots E: going on a long walk over lunch and then a run/walk this evening with the dumb dog

Today during lunch I did Matty's 30min Britney Spears walk. It was super fun, I highly recommend it.

So yesterday was my first post in this group and I felt really motivated. Then the hurricane blew through and we lost power, WiFi and cell. Fortunately the spin bike still works without power but had no video. I still gave myself a good workout using my iPhone playlist. So glad I stuck to it.
Today, 28 hours and still counting with no power or WiFi. Cell is back so I just uploaded some classes and I’ll go do my workout before dark.
Staying motivated!!!!!

Happy hump day! I’m planning an upper body strength and abs workout tonight. Food should be good. I need to get myself out of the kitchen after dinner. I have gotten into a bad habit of snacking on multiple small sweet things that I don’t track but I’m sure are adding up.
B- chocolate banana protein oatmeal L- taco salad, watermelon D- marinated turkey tenderloin, air fried potatoes, green beans

I just finished a 2.5 mile midday walk. I will be really sad when it starts getting too cold for this.

Yesterday I got in a quick 5k before the storm. And then a 20 minute climb ride and 10 minute arm session with the peloton app.
Another 5k this morning. I’ll try to squeeze in another 10 minute thing too.

I did 10k of road biking yesterday and then felt like working out again in the evening and did a 2k row plus strength. Then this morning we all slept in and ran out of time to cycle to camp so i won't get my usual bike ride in, i do plan on rowing and strength again tonight.

I did a 20 min Pop ride of Cody’s and then had to stop for a meeting. And while I didn’t feel like doing anything after, I got back on my bike and did Ally’s 90s rock ride from yesterday. It has been a few days because my throat is killing me, but I am glad I did it.

I’m unreasonably excited you joined lol. If you have any questions about the programs or need instructor recommendations or anything, let us know! Haha thank you! I really like all the variety, and it goes feel like OTF at home so far, which is nice. If anyone has recommendations of spin instructors that don't stand up much, that would help. I think that's my best bet with my upright. I will note that you can just stay in the saddle for any portion that an instructor says is out of the saddle. Pretty much any time the pace is 80 or above and it’s supposed to be out of the saddle, I stay seated.

I think today is a rest day for me. Unless I have time for something after work, but I’m not sure since I usually Zoom with the family on Wednesdays. I will take at least one walk at work. Tomorrow and Friday I work later, so I will have more time for morning workouts (theoretically, lol).
Food is good. Clothes are fitting well, which is also good.
B- Evo green Chile and egg burrito, coffee with creamer
S- lentil salad
L- rainbow salad with chicken, feta, and grains
D- deciding between shrimp scampi or apple Gouda sausages/ kale gnocci

abs how do you like the IC4? They just came in stock at my local Dicks, and I’m tempted to order it. What do you use to stream the workouts? Can you still see your stats if you stream on the tv via fire stick or only if you use an iPad or iPhone?

DD re-discovered her vtech smart watch, and wanted to run with me today - she's 6, so we took it super easy - 1 minute of running with 2.5 minutes of walking, but we did a little over a mile and a half. I hope that she loves moving her body as she gets older!
I also did a 30 min yoga (Anna Greenberg's Pelothon) this morning, it was fine - the right level for just-out-of-bed me.
Not sure if I will get another walk in today - tomorrow is DS' birthday and we need to make his cake, plus my book club has a socially distanced meeting tonight.

I bought myself running sneakers as a present for my birthday. I'm excited and ready for the tread to be delivered! I also took a live cycling class today with Robin whom I usually stay away from because she seems like a hard instructor, but I actually really enjoyed it and almost set a new PR. Almost!

So relieved for cooler weather. I did 2 miles after work on the track today and didn’t perish from heat stroke, so that was nice.
Food has been on plan, aside from a giant cookie my H shared with me. If I can keep it in check for the rest of the evening, it won’t kick my macros out of whack.

Still no power but did a 30 min Peleton ride. Had to guess at the resistance and cadence but it certainly felt hard!

Hi, I want to jump in. I've been consistently working out since March and recently lost the remaining baby weight (baby is 18 months old now). I'm trying to maintain my weight and improve my overall strength and fitness levels, and also work on stress reduction and sleeping better as much as possible. I have to work around a pelvic prolapse and a tendency to get injured easily, so I go for low impact exercise. I do yoga 5+ days a week and short rides on my exercise bike 2-3 times a week. I also enjoy hiking and swimming when I can. I am very new to trying meditation using Headspace. I like it so far!

Can you still see your stats if you stream on the tv via fire stick or only if you use an iPad or iPhone? I love it! I’ve done about 30-40 rides now with no problems. Just be careful about putting on the pedals. They can be tricky. For the price though it can’t be beat. It’s compatible with Peloton as long as you have an iPhone or iPad. You can see your cadence by syncing it up. It has a HR monitor you can use for getting zones but I just use my Apple Watch. I’ve never tried streaming it on my fire stick but I know you can. If I didn’t already have a watch and iPad I probably would have just gotten the Peloton but since I do the ic4 is great. I wanted flexibility to try out other programming as well.

So jealous of people with cooler weather! It’s still 900 degrees here with an updated hurricane season that spells brutal. I miss going outside without sweating.
I had plans of working out today but too much was going on. Tomorrow.

I just did Power Yoga with Anna, and oof. You'd never know I used to regularly do Ashtanga. My arms are going to kill tomorrow. The power yoga is so great! The 20 minute one I did yesterday was a great workout. I really forgot how much I loved yoga.

I did a 35 minute run this morning. It was nice and cool in the early morning which was a nice change! I’ve decided I’d rather run on my own, but I do like the peloton pre- and post- run stretches. Food should be ok.
NSV - during my stretching I caught a glimpse of my legs in the mirror and I think they look not bad- and at the right angle, with the right lighting, you can even see some muscle definition instead of just cellulite. Right now, I’m happy with the way I look (although extra muscle definition would be ok too). 🙂

Working out at night is just the worst. I miss dropping my kids at daycare and going to whatever the 930 class was and having my ass handed to me. It really feels like a lifetime ago.

Today was Transform 20 Stronger 2.0, It was kind of like a lift for workout using a step. There was supposed to be a bonus workout too but I got started late and ran out of time. I'll try make it up this weekend.

I didn’t want to. At all. But I told myself to jump on for 10 minutes and if I’d still rather go to bed then I could.
The endorphins hit quick and I was so glad I started. 60 minute hip hop bootcamp with Jess 10 minute core strength with Matty

Got my peloton today!!! So excited to ride tomorrow! Signed up for a 8:00 live class then I’ll probably do the live Cody ones tomorrow night because he’s the best.
I’ve been walking 3-4 miles every morning. But still eating like crap. So my goal is to get that under control.
