I've done nothing so far today - I'm very sore from yoga yesterday! We have a weird day because our cleaning lady comes today, but I plan to walk this afternoon, and then swim (it's DS' birthday!). For the birthday, food plans involve takeout and cake. This is all about balance!

I also have medical condition where if I do too much I flare so bad I can’t do anything and so I try to balance but I’m all or nothing type person and it’s hard. So I was going to try every other day but failed to skip a day. That’s why dh gets worried too he sees when I push too much what happens. And I don’t mean like running five hours. I’ve done three straight days of moderate intensity bike ride at 20 min and been barely able to walk for a week so I don’t know what to do. This is me, too. It’s so hard to balance.

I’ve been super MIA. Both here and with working out. I was hoping to get back into my normal routine now that we are back home but work has been soul crushing. With working from home, I literally have been working from the minute I wake up until the minute I go to bed, with a break for dinner with the family and to put the kids to bed. I’ve been miserable.
Add in that we are moving in the next two weeks and I literally can’t deal.
I decided enough was enough and I need time for myself this morning. I hopped on a quick 20 minute HIIT ride. Not my best effort by far but I just focused on me. It was glorious.
I’m really struggling to find balance right now but I’m not willing to let my job taking everything I’ve worked so hard for.
Off to try to catch up!

I'm sore after two days in a row of long walks. I'm trying to stretch and do ab things today.
I am eating so healthy. My office is basically a dutch oven for myself.

I was short on time today but I got a 20 minute outdoor HIIT run with Selena in and it was fun. Especially since I was able to go by myself for once! I did 2.25 miles. Not a lot, but better than nothing.

I just did an easy naptime workout. My legs are very sore and fatigued so I walked an easy 1.25 miles while watching Schitts Creek then did a 20 minute prenatal yoga. Peloton added some new classes to their pre/postnatal yoga library which was nice.
My food has been meh today. DD1 has Pre-K graduation tonight and we'll eat there too, so I'm pretty whatever about it.

What do people recommend for putting some sort of protein in my coffee? I drink it now with half a cup of whole milk, so I'm looking to keep it about the same calories and creaminess but hoping to up the protein. Any suggestions?

I doubled up lower and upper body workouts today so I didn't have to try to find time to fit it in on Saturday. If I find the time, I'll do something, but it will be nice to not have to stress about getting it in.

Some sort of nut milk with high protein count? Cashew maybe? I haven't had any nut milks for a while, are there ones that have more protein than actual milk?

I haven't lifted with weights in months... my arms were so sore yesterday and this morning it hurt to use the hand soap pump.
But I went back for more today. Hopefully I don't regret it! Day 13/60.
Also, I hate power jacks.

Really enjoying the Peloton app workouts this week. I did a 10-minute HIIT this morning followed by 30 minutes of beginner yoga. I am a hot mess when it comes to yoga but I’m trying to improve my balance and stability for overall fitness. Then the kids and dog and I all trooped a mile to the park and back so they could play at the skate park. Going to focus the rest of my day on drinking more water.

I haven't had any nut milks for a while, are there ones that have more protein than actual milk? Some of them make protein-specific ones. Silk makes one with 10g. I was going to say unless it’s a special high pro product, nut milks don’t have much protein. beersandweirs some people use collagen in their coffee. I don’t know if it’s a special product for hot drinks or what. Paging thatgolfb bc she uses it I think. Can I ask why you want a higher protein coffee? Could you keep your coffee as you like it and add a high protein food?

I did the Jess Sims 30 minute pop run this morning. cnf, you were not kidding about the hills! My daughter got up early this morning and talked to me while I ran. I love that she loves to spend time with me, but man, a little part of me was disappointed that my “me time” wasn’t totally mine. I get so annoyed when my kids are all up in my business when I'm working out. Me time, be gone heathens! Also, not sure the age of your daughter, but keep her away from your treadmill while you're running! We're two months into the hell that is a treadmill injury with my littler one with no light at the end of the tunnel. It's been a horrible never ending nightmare. Lol a couple nights ago when I did yoga, I was in savasana, and DD2 ran over and body slammed my exposed abdomen. So relax. Much namaste.

I actually don’t really use it anymore since my protein goal has decreased.

I got surprised with my period today. Although when I went to go track it in my app, I’m actually 1 day late so I should’ve known it was coming. I feel like an idiot ha. Anyway, today was going to be a rest day but my coworkers and I decided to power walk to a new Thai place to pick up lunch. But I’ll probably be a slug the rest of the day d/t cramps and other cd1-related blahness. We’ll see if I end up closing all my Apple Watch rings.

cnf ugh I’m so sorry your daughter’s injury is still ongoing. My daughter is almost 7 (I also told her of the treadmill dangers when I read about your daughter’s injury). Since she spends 24/7 with her 5 year old brother who literally never stops talking, I think she likes to have a turn to talk without him around. She asked me if she can use the treadmill when she can run 4-5 miles outside without stopping. I told her maybe.

My oldest occasionally walks on ours, very supervised of course, but she's usually pretty over it after a few minutes. We make sure they know it's not a toy but I also don't want them scared of it either. Both my kids love to run and will "go for a run" by themselves outside sometimes, which is running to certain house and back that I can see the whole time.

We got free food truck lunch today at work (one of the only perks of Covid), and I had a huge black bean burger and sweet potato fries. So good, it I have no idea how I will make it through 4 more hours of work without a nap lol.

I did a 20 min Cody pop ride and my ab rehab over lunch. This is my third day in a row of riding and my ass/thighs were starting to feel the saddle burn a bit lol.

How old is/was your oldest when you started letting her walk on the treadmill? We don’t do a lot of sports teams or other things that I did growing up, so I worry about whether my kids are active enough. We go on a lot of family bike rides and walks, but both kids hate being outside when it is too hot and gets really irritable.

I used a creamer before and then just the regular kind. I prefer the plain, it just dissolved and is flavorless.

Chest and back today and a 30 minute ride with Sam. I’ve never taken one of his classes before and really enjoyed him. Food is terrible today, I just gave up and had homemade pizza and a White Claw.

I'd say it's been like this past year maybe at most? The longest she's ever stayed on is like ten minutes and she holds the rails the whole time with me standing right next to it.
